Mine are not ballenced either greg. I felt nothing different yet. 
No rattin here. Speak only the truth. I am guilty of pulling some ungodly things with trailers in my time and have learned to respect them and keep them in top shape ESPECIALLY on a long haul. Something that takes 15 min. to fix BEFORE leaving will take 1/2 day to fix on the road. (if lucky).
I would have to see it to judge it. THEN I can call it a piece -o- shit!
Gotta admit for 200.00 it is a good deal as they are QUICK to beef up and make worthy....couple add a leafs, some good bearings, and BIG ol tires will make a decent suspension....some cross bracing to beef up the frame and you be done.
will be nice to have this summer I am sure.

I hate to say this but I'm thinking that Sheldons is getting closer and closer to getting shitcanned as far as me ordering parts from them ever again.
I was there on Friday to pick up my stickers and headlights. I had to actually pay for my headlights because they wouldn't give them to me without my old ones. I will get my money back when I return my old ones. I did try to explain that Buell contacted ME and that I didn't want my old headlights. I also explained that I told Buell that I needed the new headlights first before I could remove mine and they were fine with that. Sheldons was not but I can deal with that.
While I was there on Friday I had asked about my steering dampener. Guy tells me he knows nothing and that someone would call me Saturday or at the latest on Monday to let me know where it is. Saturday.... no call......... Monday........ no call. So I decide to give them a call at noon today. Guy on the phone tells me he has no information for me and to call back about 3 or 4 in the afternoon. I call at 4, guy on the phone tells me he has no info and to call back tomorrow. Ask him for the number to Buell Racing so I can ask myself, he tells me that I'm better off waiting for them to find out. 
Called Buell racing myself, Henry tells me that he will personally find out what is going on and will call me at my desk ASAP with all my information.
Sorry but I placed this order on 2/22. I hate to say but if I placed this order with Appleton or Stone Mt, I believe that I would have received it by now.
Sorry Boos but at this time your place is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I'm pretty pissed about these guys blowing me off.

Yea I gave up Sheldons already myself, nothing there for me..
Eboose mentioned in a post that the owner will not get anything buell "UNTIL" we start to buy stuff from them. like we need to prove ourselves or something to them?
Don't it work the other way? Prove you are a good dealership with GOOD support,service, and at least have a couple of parts on the wall,then MAYBE the buellers will come..
IF I need anything on the fly I will get it at Precision,even though they are further for me, If it need to be ordered I will just get it from American Sport Bike or Appleton as the dealers around here take FOREVER to get ANYTHING Buell...Especially the concept!
What good is 10% off if you can't even get the parts in a respectable time?
I won't go on a rant as YOU ALL know my standings on this subject... |

Jesus f'ing christ!
1. Yes the dealership needs to establish a sales history before it will stock parts. It is that way for all merchandise, not just Buell stuff. Of course they will not want to tie up money in inventory unless they are sure it will sell.
2. Buell parts, when ordered, will take less then a week to arrive. Buell Racing parts are another matter, and this was the dealership's first experiance with them.
3. I fought like hell to get the discount approved and to move forward with becoming a site sponsor. I know that not everything is perfect, but to write the shop off this early is pretty sad.
4. You all know that I work in the sales department, not the parts department. I don't make one dime on parts sales. The reason that I am doing this is to help out the Buell community.
5. I will call Henry tomorrow, and will continue to call, until I hear some news. The delay on the dampener pisses me off sevearly. I will find out what was up, and if I find that it was due to a problem on our end, I will find a way to make it up to you. |

EBoos...... It's just the thing that while I was there I just wanted to at least hear something, it's on the way, something that's all. But on Friday I got "I'll have Shane look into this and he'll give you a call tomorrow or Monday at the latest". Monday came and went without a call. I call today, get told to call later, call later then get told to call tomorrow.
Look I'm not mad at you and appreciate fighting to get us a discount, ordering my stuff for me and everything but all I asked the Parts guy was for information that's all. And I'm not looking for it from you, I know your in sales and have nothing to do with this at this point. But it's this type of little shit, like getting blown off, that goes up my ass. I'm in Customer Service and have to deal with all types if people too but if a customer call me looking for his parts that he ordered I can find out where it is in about 10-20 minutes..... tops. That's calling vendors, freight companies, our receiving dept, stock room, mfg floor. I don't know.... maybe I want to get treated the way I treat my customers.
I don't want you to look into this as it is not your problem and you have nothing to do with it at this point, it is the Parts Dept's issue. Your in sales remember??  I am not going to call Sheldons looking for my dampener anymore as I already talked to Henry at BR. He said that he would call me today to let me know when I should receive it or if it is already on it's way. That's all I really want to know. |

Jim, I totally understand where you are coming from. While I don't doubt that you ran into a bit of indifference, the main problem that you encountered it the store's communication problem. The most information that anyone other then Shane has is if the part is here or not. This is a huge handicap as far as customer service goes.
This is the first job that I have had since I was 19 that I wasn't in management. Seeing things done poorly and not being in a position to do anything about it kind of sucks. The route that I have taken is by setting an example myself. I can not tell anyone what they should be doing (unless they were way out of line), but hopefully the things that I do will rub off.
Jim, I appreciate you giving us a shot with your order. I truely hope that it won't be the last one. I will continue to be involved regardless of which department I am in. If not of nothing else, it is because I know where to look in order to get you the things that you need.
The above message wasn't aimed at you, as you would have every right to be pissed. My beef was with Eric's comments. Eric, you haven't even tried the dealership, yet you say you've given up? Fortunately, I have not given up. Do your business where you like, and don't let friendship play a factor, but it's way too early to give up. |

I have delt with Sheldons plenty in the last 2 years with almost EVERY time being a PITA.
1.) Lets see...went to buy my bike....
AGRIVATION right from the start, fight to get a test ride, Wants me to pay full MSRP on a left over (05's just came out that week) and wouldn't deal w/ me right from the start......
so i buy my bike else where and save myself 3,000.00.
2.) needed a TPS reset when i installed my muffler and FAST kit.
TOOK THEM 3 F'N TIMES TO GET IT RIGHT!!!!!!!
3 Trips to and from the dealership w/ the bike in the bed of my truck....
On top of that they give me sh!t on the way it is set up and give me crap about my warranty....This is the main reason i did not get the extended warranty, I knew this would happen.
3.)when my bike was running like ass i try and order a engine temp sensor, 02 sensor and a couple spark plugs.....
GOT THE RUN AROUND FOR 2 WEEKS....they got the plugs in that time.....and i get lots-o-run around excusses....
I cancell order and get it from AL in CA.
4 days later i get my stuff.
AT this point the dealership is NOT buell oriented and I feel like I am getting shafted...ESPECIALLY after the TPS reset
Now I feel like I did "TRY" to give them a chance.
Your dealership is NOT buell friendly in my eye's and i only step foot in there recently due to you working there.....AND ONLY that reason! Hopping for the best...expecting the worst...
They had more buells when i went to buy my bike than they do now...2 years later they have a couple buells stuffed in the back corner, There ENTIRE STOCK on buell's consist of a set of orange heel guards...I am sure they were a mistake of some sort and left there.
NO shirts, NO parts, NO SUPPORT!!!!!!!

WTF is that? I need to support them BEFORE they will support me? I do not think so...
People go to places where they get the items they need and the support they need.
It is the way the market works....Supply AND Demand.....They have NO SUPPLIES!
Now even though i do not like Precission much either, they do stock alot of parts.
there are about a dozen bikes as soon as you walk in the door dead center in the FRONT! racks of shirts, sweatshirts, etc..etc..
went to order some parts a few weeks ago...they had EVERYTHING I needed IN STOCK!
SCHWEEEEET...
Now listening to Jim get the RUN AROUND, I do not need the agrivation they can supply....I have no time to deal with stupid excusses, and that is what it is...EXCUSSES!
Now if i had a harley they would have ALL the parts i could buy and they supply the entire custom chrome catalog on the shelfs...yet buell gets one little 12x12 shelf for a set of heal guards....
Now this is MY opinion on them, others can do what they like. when i need something the last thing i wish to do is wait 2 weeks and get a bunch of "call back later" lines. Now if it was me I would actually call the customer back for a follow up instead of making them call me and have no answers....That to me is dropping the ball!!!!
I do not give many second chances, like anyone if you get a bad service do you go back? How many chances do you give them to make it right before you learn your lesson? If they CAN NOT give the service I expect I will go someplace else...Simple as that!
This would be the main reason so many Buellers do there own services as the dealerships are clueless to the buells.
This has nothing to do with you Erik, and I know you have tried hard to help us. You are just fighting a loosing battle and will constantly hit a brick wall when trying to promote the buell trillogy, this is purely on them as a dealership who has not "figured it out yet". They should just drop the line as they do us no good in MY OPINION.
Buell needs to break away from harley and go out on there own, or step up to the plate and support them FULLY! Not a half asses support style like they do now just to go through the motions.
I can go on and on but i am sick of typing here and have no intentions of writting a chapter book here...

Do not take anything to heart from what i write, I mean no harm to any of YOUZ NEBO GUYS! I guess I just can't stand the way dealerships think sometimes.....They are idiots in there thinking, support us FIRST then we will SUPPORT you! Man to run a buisiness w/ that mentality....Do you NOT agree? Am i wrong in my thinking? Should i be supporting them and just suck It up?
I believe in suppoting those that do the same to me, which is why i deal w/ American Sport Bike. he gets almost all my buisiness and he gets my parts to me QUICKLY....The support he offers is second to none and he is always there to help.

And....wow,the great dealer debate.I've done my Biz with Precision since 1992.I can always speak with Richie if i think it's warranted..His wife Annika was always helpful too.Yeah,i've had a couple disagreements with them.But i let them know about it,and they did everything they could to satisfy me.The Buell bikes/apparel are plentyful.If you use their service dept. they do gouge,just like any other dealer.I've bought my new bikes' from them and they give me priority over others.It'd be tough to sway me anywhere else,they've got a loyal customer in me...Is it time to leave for MB4 yet??

well it's confirmed!! I booked us a cabin at the High Valley Resort. Spoke to the woman on the phone and reserved the cabin next door to the HV Crew.
One thing she mentioned that was good to know.......... High Valley Resort is in a DRY COUNTY!!! MEANING NO ALCOHOL SALES THERE. She told me to bring my own alcohol if I planned on partying. |
