As a matter of fact...I did ride on Sunday. It was the 2nd Annual Polar Bear Run hosted by the Iron Pirates. I froze my ass off! I was on my VStar though...for some reason I feel safer when both of my feet can touch the ground when I'm on a sheet of ice! Although, the Buell has a way better heater.

I went for a ride on Saturday out to Clodwell, and it was fricken freezing Mr. Bigglesworth! Hard to resist when the sun is out and the roads are semi clear.

Well, I went for a quick blast today. Yes, it was pretty damn cold, but holy crap it was good to get on the beast again. I feel bad every time I see her sitting in the garage being lonely. Just glad to hear her sing such beautiful music this time of year.

(I know you you read this Neal I think you might have had a little too much Nog with Mrs. Claus! Maybe if you put on some Ape hangers and a bigger Bell???) I know you can take some crap you big Loveable Galoof!

Can't wait to hear about the upcoming season. and I totally agree with Coturi, my Ss is looking awful lonely in the garage, so had to put a few miles on it Wed night, had just put on the newly fabricated pipe, and you know that it has to be tested, then chopped the back end, that cheesegrater sure is ugly, now just need an ECM(with help from Santa). MERRY CHRISTMAS GUYS}}

Has anyone here had the TPS reset done locally, and what was the charge? I am ready to do the job and was wondering if it would be more lucrative to buy the software or have the dealer do the job. With all this cold I can't wait for the spring weather to come in.

Chad, they charge you for a half hour of labor, $35. Only takes a few minutes so you don't have the hassle of dropping the bike off. After the reset, jump on the freeway and ride it for ten minutes around 3500 rpm. That puts your bike in learning mode, and you will be good to go.

Thanks for the info Michael. I walked into High Desert on Friday, and when they said $125 I about died, so I called Birds of Prey, and sure enough they said Half Hour. By the way does anyone know where I can get wrap for the headers locally?

Hello all, back from the Islands and trying to quit shivering. Mike Hows it going on the contacts? I will start calling again tonight. Sam you can drop off the pipe anytime if I'm not home just leave it on the porch. Hows the new pipe work? Chad, H.D. in Boise charged me 1/2 hr. labor for the TPS. Has anyone looked at (redone wiring under the aircleaner base plate? if so what did you find???

Chad, I got my header wrap online, and I haven't seen it anywhere in town. All the hot rod shops are gone that I know of. If you find it let me know.

Bill, I never got the list. I tried to let you know, but you must have already left. If you want to try and send it again to me and Jason, I'll get on it. Hope you had an amazing time.

i can get you some 2 inch black header wrap here locally for not too much... i will have to double check tomorrow how much it was i think 28 bucks for 30 feet... i used two fifteen foot sections.. which made it a lot easier then when mike and i did his all in one piece... i think you can find it on ebay a little cheaper though

Darn it, I have to work then, but keep me in the loop on what happens.
Just wondering, picked up my bike from the dealer tonight, and was wondering if all the bikes backfire a bit after the TPS reset, at least until the ECM learns the curve? It hesitates a little pulling from a stop.

Hey Chad, I didn't have any backfire after my TPS reset on my long...I would be more concerned with the hesitation. If it were me, I would go back to the dealership and tell them.

If it pops a little under deceleration, that is normal, especially if you put a free flowing exhaust on. If it is backfiring at any other time, your tps is probably a bit off. I would let it learn and if it still is hesitating I'd take it back. The tps reset is a little different on the Buell versus the H/D so make sure you are having a Buell tech get it right.

Well it was good to meet some new people. I look forward to riding with everyone in the upcoming year.

I put our club profile on the Owners section of Buell.com, so if anyone is looking they'll find us.

I'll keep you all updated on the adopt-a-highway stuff, as well as the trackdays as soon as info comes in.

See you in a few weeks.
