Mike, should be able to handle it OK (that address forwards to my work). A bit time-consuming picking them up at home, but it can be done.

Thanks

Jose,

Glad you liked the shirt. Made a bunch of 'em up for the regulars on the PA circuit last year, seemed to go over pretty well. And no, your picture wasn't on all of them ;).

Sorry Turnagain, but that was the best pic I could find of Jose from last year. What do I owe you in royalties? I'm thinkin' if I give you forty percent of my profits, you owe me ten bucks!

And last, but not least, thank you Two Buells for the shots of "Buell Burner", you can bet there will be an extra t-shirt being made up this year!

Last year we hit at least eleven events, it was an awesome season. Got to know some cool folks, Mike Y., Jose, Neal, Paul, Joe, Ben, COREY, Randy, and too many others to name them all. And yes, Jose, you are on that posse list, even if you are from D.C.! Sorry I missed Frederick, but I promise we will meet again soon.

Later.

Buell Bash/BattleTrax weekend recap,
Saturday was our annual Buell Bash, the weather was great! We had a bunch of riders take out our new Buells for a demo ride. The KC mob came up for the day. We got Jeff a new tire mounted up on his S3 while he was there, thanks for the Biz Jeff! Attendance was a little off from last year but I think it was just too nice of a day. Everyone was out riding!

Sunday! Sunday! Sunday!
Our second BattleTrax event! Whhooo Hooo! The weather held out for us at last. Temps in the 70s! We started the morning at 6am to set up the course. Jeremy and Larry did a great job on the course. It was HUGE! 2 barrels and lots of very tight corners made it interesting for everyone.

We had 44 riders,up 1 from last year but we had over 340 people thru the gate! The riders put in 502 runs by the end of the day so I think everyone got plenty of riding time. The course was big enough that we could get 3 or 4 on the course at one time, this cut down on the wait between rides.

We had riders with sportbikes,YSRs,cruisers and dual sport/motards, no touring bikes showed to compete this year. The stunt riders, Team XMX and Kansas City's Most Wanted put on 3 great shows for the crowd. Those guys are just plain nuts! We had a vendors row with lots of stuff to look at and buy.

We had Buell riders come from Mo,Kansas,Il,Mn,Ne and of course some of the locals from Waterloo in attendance! What a great day, everything went pretty smooth, I had lots of great help, even a few that didn't know they were going to help me(KCBill)we couldn't have done it without them.

All the winners, including 7 year old Mason got a framed certificate to show off that they are the fastest. All the riders got one with their fastest lap time of the day. The winners also recieved a $100.00 gift certificate from the HD/Buell Cycle Center(I'll send yours with your helmet and plaque Sam).

The big news(and no surprise to me) is that in the Sportbike class a Buell kicked ass! Sam, from KC ruled! The guy was an animal out there. I have to look at the time cards but I think he won by several seconds faster than anyone else in his class and was running close to the fast times set by the rider that won the Dual Sport/Motard class! Way to go Sam! You ROCK!!!!

Well I have to go get ready for work now but I'd like to say thanks again to those that helped make this day possible, without you we couldn't do events like this. I know that lots of people probably think, what's the big deal, just set up some cones and there you go. Well, I want to tell you that it's a lot of work! I, and others put in 13 hours yesterday alone to make this event happen. Thanks to all the people that helped me. You're the best!

Have you looked at some of the results, some are hitting their target dead on.

Also, was looking at the BattleTrax.com and noticed the 'Vegas run is on a Wednesday?

Also noticed that the August 22th event at Uke's is followed by a August 23rd event at Hal's.

Then I noticed the West Bend event moved from June to July.

Then I noticed that there are a Friday and a Saturday event during the 100th in Waukesha at the tent city area on August 29th and 30th.

Then I noticed it was time for bed so I went to sleep.

And seeing what Jose did on his S3 I'm thinking I may need to add caster wheels onto my handlebar ends, and I may also need to go get a set of kneepuck pants and some of those Sidi Vertabra boots to keeps my toes from getting rubbed raw by the pavement.

But seeing as how it's all in fun I may just run what I brung and do what I can and just have fun and see where the cards fall as they may.

not a threat, clearly, but sometime's it good to have someone you KNOW you can beat in the pack, yes? (grin)

If you recall last year up at Suburban several new guys showed up on a couple of M2 and totally started smokin' the laps. Only thing I've got going is finding a comfortable lap pace where my boots are just starting to drag in the corners.

Saw a little mini-bike at a rummage sale last week that I was thinking about some, thought it might be a fun diversion to take a few laps with.

How many events are you MC'ing this summer?

I think you said you were running the Detroit event day after tomorrow. Riding or driving over? Have fun.

Yes, but I did it one round to early!

The way the National Battletrax Series is set up, you have to pick a target time, then do four laps, the person whose average of the four laps is closest to their target time wins. You can't change your target time between rounds, either. Mike did a great job.

It was very tough conditions because everybody practiced in the morning while the track was wet then they kept going faster later in the day as the track dried out.

Congratulations to Mike, Mike and Al on their top three finish.

I was the only one to actually nail my target time 52.50 seconds on my third lap. But I totally screwed up the last lap, went too fast, so I screwed up my average. From what Reg said only two people have done a perfect lap so far this year, I was the second one to do it.

Here are some pics from last weekend:
