alride, CJ . . . .I hearby challenge you to "the Longest Day" ride . . . .you pick the route, starting time, end point, meal stops (optional) gas stops (bikes {grin}), and like that . . . we'll see who's still capable of cleaning carbs at the end of the day!

you may be younger, but I'm, er, older!

yeah, that's it

Sounds like an IronButt challenge to me. If you two wind up riding through Washington State then say hi to my mom for me. :)

Then there is Sturgis, which this year could become quite the spectacle, that is remotely doable in a one-day round trip.

Bomber,

Did I hear you say you are going to give CJ a 'mullethead'? I think she already has had one of those!

Who is going to do the Track Day or Whatever the heck it is in Milwaukee on the weekend of July 14th... I am trying to make up my mind between going to Milwaukee OR doing a Kung Fu seminar on Madeline Island that weekend... I thought the Kung Fu sounded like the best option until they started talking about the FIVE MILE RUN ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY MORNING

PS Kid has to be adopted : he is too cute to be related to Mr Sensitive aka Dyna!

Wouldn't that be called a Milliegan?
Or after next week maybe a Sorenstam?

You talking 24 hrs??? If so you gonna have to average about 100mph. Good luck.

And longest day ride...hmm I have more than a couple of 650-700 mile days under my belt. Anything under 350 for the day is simply a lunch run.

Heres his sweet ride, & he doesnt have to worry about rocker box leaks, bad shocks, broken exhausts, or grenaded motors.

Mulligan, golf term for do-over, as in "I just flubbed that hit and it didn't make it past the red tees so I want to hit another ball without a penalty".

Well I pulled the nail out of the rear tire on Tuesday night, after I got home of course. The pressure has held for 2 days now and does not show any bubble with a soap solution. The "nail" wasn't the full nail. It was just the shaft of the nail and it went in sideways, or parallel, through the thickness of the tread; not into the tire. Kind of like a sliver in your hand. I marked the side wall with a dab of red paint, so I can find the spot later. I guess I'll keep on riding it as is and keep a sharp eye on it.

I still have to work out the tranny/clutch problem. That's next week/weekend's project.

MikeJ-can I borrow the swing arm stand sometime next week.(There could be dinner involved here) I know you've got finals and term papers, etc. this week so no hurry.(Boy do I miss those<IMG SRC="> ) Good luck on everything.

I am headed north this weekend to Thorp so unfortunately I will miss the run. Remember to RIDE STAGERED.

Later,

Jerry

Jerry,
Do you want me to drop it off tonight? Schools over for the semester, turned in the last paper last night. Just have to take 26 books back to the library now (stacked up they're over 3 feet tall :) ).

If not tonight then let me know when next week.
