I stopped to take this picture and a red sportbike passed me. I decided to see if I really could keep up with him in the curves. I could! I caught up with him and he was actually holding me back. Then the road straightened for a bit and he left me like I was standing still. It got curvy again and I caught right back up with him. I was feeling pretty good about the whole situation untill this black Camerro passed us both in the twisties. I passenger suck his hand out the window and waved bye-bye as the car disapeared in the distance.

Hey yall,
Saw a couple Buellers around my town this weekend. Wanted to see if any of them were any of you all.

I saw a black xb9s going down Hwy 3 in Mooresville on Saturday.

Also met a guy with a blue xb9r. He hadn't been on the BadWeb yet, but if he ever does, I hope he gives me a shout since he's only about 2 miles from my house.

Anyway, great weekend for riding ay? Jlnance, where was that sign? What the heck kinda' Camaro was it that was able to pass you two? My ol' Mustang is pretty zippy through the corners, but pretty sure my 12s is a bit faster, especially if a better rider was on it.

Matt, I'm sure a better rider could have stayed in front of the Camaro. : )

That sign is on hw-9 headed north right after it splits off from 74-A in Bat Cave.

Anyone know a kid that's 5 years + that digs Buell's? Then methinks you need to get them this!

Jim - Neat picture. It seems that you made it okay. I can not wait until May when I go with Mike to the mountains for some off pavement fun.

I was shocked. I passed three motorcycles on the way to work this morning. I know I further west than you two, but we were between 32-34°F and ice was forming on cars. One guy at works ride every day. Hurricanes, tornadoes, snow he doesn't care because he commutes 30 miles one way and does not want to drive his truck to work.

Even though I have ridden in sub-freezing temps, I rather not after laying the Uly down last winter on Ice.

Another co-worker with a Blast, one of three Buells at work said he wanted to ride to work so no one called him a wimp but his back tire finally will not hold air because it is so worn.

I rode today. Left around 6:30am with snow coming down. By the time I got to work, me and the bike were entombed in ice. It was quite an experience! Never been in an ice storm before. Plenty of snow, but nothing like that. Hard to see with all the ice frozen to the visor. Pretty exciting being able to spin the rear tire by just blippin the throttle.

Hey, I spend a lot of money for a nice safe warm cage, and I think Ice and Snow is a good excuse to make sure its not being unused.

Not that I have to prove anything to anyone....

Oh and riding in a ice storm....its insane...Right, Brankin?

I got the muffler off the Uly : ) Now I have to find a box to ship it to HPC. After reading the procedure for removing the headers a few times, I've decided that they look just fine uncoated.

As a reminder, I will be placing the C3 shirt and hat order Monday or Tuesday. If you're interested in ordering, please post what you'd like. We can place more orders at a later date, but I want this one done so I can have them ready for March Badness.

Oh and riding in a ice storm....its insane...Right, Brankin?

I always say that it takes a certain level of insanity to keep people sane - for some it just requires more than others...

But, honestly, the weather was much...okay a little...milder here. No ice, no snow, just cold and rain.

Usually cold and rain are the worst, but if I had something better covering my neck I probably would've just went passed work and rode all day.

On today's roads insanity is a pre-requisite. Somebody tries to run me over almost every time I ride(cell phones are the worst thing to ever happen to driving).

When I left my house yesterday at about 6:30am, it was a nice layer of ice with a covering of snow. Now I have rode in snow a few times, but riding on a sheet of ice is more then I want to try. Now by about 8 am it had become just some slush here and there, as I was going to another office that someone couldn't make it into work due to the terrible roads. A stupid woman in a little grey pickup doing about 20 in the passing lane on US-1 North in Cary. I am merging off the highway crossing over a little patch of ice when I realize she has came from the passing lane to the turning lane and about 10 cars are doing all kinds of angles to avoid the stupid (nice Lady). Now in my truck it was no big deal, I felt the anti-lock brakes kick in for a second and then off I go to the office. On my bike that would have been a very ugly accident. So cages can come in handy Brankin, not nearly as fun or satisfying as the bike, but still handy. Larry

Wow! The Sandblast Rally entry slots have already filled and they have a waiting list. There are some very talented riders coming from up North. Several championship enduro riders. I hope to learn an lot and survive. It's really getting exciting and I've been spending a lot of time in the sand playing.

Interesting that some people did ride. I rode, but didn't head out until 11am. I was the only one at the dealership to ride in. I was just glad my heated gear works so well.

Speaking of ice storms. : ( The only reason I'm online right now is because I'm in the field at a rig and have temporary access. When it's all said and done, I'll try to post some pictures for ya'll. It's pretty bad and might get worse. Ya'll thank Pike for us, they sent us a bunch of their boys to help us out. : ) I've been without power now going on a week. We're getting by. It's rough, but we're hanging in there.

Southern - good to hear from you. We discovered during Floyd that we could do without power longer than we could do without water. From hurricanes to ice storms. Hope things get better soon!
