I missed you also. But, in my defense, it was an awesome day Saturday for riding. We had a great time, and didn't get back to the trailer until 7:30 PM. So, we missed you, again.
What's that saying, maybe next year...

Nick and Sammie,

Glad to hear that you hosted another great time (or two). Sorry we didn't ever make it over this year. Had to load the bikes Friday Night for a 6 a.m. departure Saturday.

Hopefully next year!!!

hi folks,
my name is Edoardo and you can see from my nick-name where do i come from!
i live in Miami Beach and i'm part of the great TRIBU 6800 family!!!
the guys came here in Miami to visit me while they were here in US for Daytona bike week!
they were very kind to get me that famous t-shirt all of them are wearing on the pic and some other gadgets!
didn't know about this website, but buellistic introduced me here writing on TRIBU website, so here i am!
really would like to find somebody to ride with, i often go on wed night to Hollywood at Hooters for the bike reunion, but never had the pleasure to ride with other Buellers, so please let me know if you guys organize some ride in Miami or the surrounding area...
again nice to meet all of you, i'll be around now!

Edoardo:

Welcome! . . .it was great to talk to you the other day. I feel guilty about taunting Giorgio and the Tribu6800 folks to come to bike week and then not making it. It sounds as though they were well taken care of and had a great time!

Great to have you here!

It was a great time! Perhaps next time we will have all brushed up on our Italian! Seriously, I enjoyed getting to sit down and chat with the guys from across the pond. We introduced them to good ol' American BBQ!

The rest of yuse... thanks to the ones that stopped by. Sammie and I really enjoyed getting to meet all of you! The ones that didn't make it, well there is always next year and I hear there are some great plans in the works already for 2008!

I had the good fortune to be able to attend the BBQ at Nick & Sammies both nites

I only took pix on Friday Night.

I was the third or 4th to arrive friday,

"Chauly" and "PhonemanJustin" were present dealing with BBQ, racing, things buellish and the clutch.

Chauley is on the left..

We ventured out to the garage for a look, at this point Nick tells me about His Firebolt and that its' the "Wreck" Bike.
And pulls out "the helmet"

I don't mean to sound Morbid here as I asked about what happened to him.

Graciously over the course of the evening Nick and Sammie would share stories of Nicks horrible accident, amazing recovery and the Previous years BBQ.

This is one of many pages from the radiograhper, Nick has enough SS hardware to ACTUALLY set off a metal detector!
Nick my friend I have met many folks in my life with "a lotta heart", You are at the top of that list!

The next to arrive was the One and Only Buellistic (LaFayette!) This imposing Silver haired gent. Drove up with his Blast Project Bike on the truck, By this time food was on the Pourch ( an ol dogs favorite place ) and the BBQ was in progress.

Phoneman, Buellistic, Chauley

Sammie, Kim
( My apologies for the poor photo it does neither of them justice... )

Jim and Amanda rolled in just a bit later
as we had some of the best Chilli on this planet and the BBQ was Great! Thanks Chauley! that was some fine eating!

Pokinatcha (Jim F)

Amanda & Oldog,
Its nice to have such attractive company to sit with!

It seems that every one had a look at the helmet that had not seen it earlier.

To say that it was thought provoking would be an understatement.

No pix Nicks neighbor across the street ( John) brought a blue tick puppy to visit.
The Pup would have gone home with Jim & Amanda if it could have..

After dinner we settled into various groups for some great conversation, the Big question was, "Were the Italians comming?"

YOU BET!

They arrived later and were tired and hungry, They drove from Miami that afternoon to make the cookout!
What A Treat! These guys are hard core Buell fans, it was a great experience.
Chauley spoke some Italian, fortunately some of them also spoke some english.
As we understand it one of the guys is planning next years trip with his wife!

My God man . . . that looks like the 50's vocal group "Chuck and the 4 Italian Lovers".

You're telling me that Chauly (I call him Chuck) was psekaing Italian? Look I talk to Giorgio on a fairly frequent basis. . . His English is darn sure better than my Italian.

The Italian course I am taking has, to date, provided me with only the ability to utter "my motorcycle is yellow, cheap and slow" . . Giorgio suggested I get a new "Learn Italian CD".

What a great photo. . . and you are absolutely right our TRIBU'6800 Brothers and Sisters are hard corps Buellisti!

I'm really sorry I missed it . . . It's kinda fun seeing Nick without his full body cast . . . he's looking a bit more mobile. Him and Sammie are the greatest.

Next year, I'd darn sure have the event marked on my calender. . . I've already got my super-cross winner picked for the night before the 200.

Err the board seemed to go away for a bit.

I had the pleasure of having Lafayette as my guest Friday night. As a Newbe to the Bike week thing I had questions and needed a little guideance.

If you have never spent Time with Lafayette, You have missed out....

"READIN' LESSON"
>>>> "Have you noticed that People don't read things carefuly like they used to?" <<<

Lafayette J. Aka Buellistic.

===========================================
We were walking down to Mainstreet for a look at goings on. Me My head was on gimbals The last time I felt like this was in HONDURAS.. It seemed like that there were Photogs every where, In particular on the corners filming and shooting every thing.

Lafayette says to me "watch this" and walks up to this guy,
Politely he asks " Read my shirt "

The Photog, looks a little perplexed looks down at the shirt and then mutters "booool"
Lafayette then repeats his earlier request.
The photog glances at the shirt again and says "Oh Buell"
The request is repeated a third time, Lafayette Gesturing at the middle of the shirt, the Photog is now confused carefuly re-reads the shirt and errupts into a grin

A ride was taken to various Highpoints including the speed way.

The helmet prompted grins, look at thats, daddys jostling the kids (look son / honey)
and a large number of double takes

Needless to say We had fun ....

A couple of points here.

Err a bad choice of words, the obscured woman just beyond the one who is visible.

Was wearing a net shirt no Bra and 2 small stars on her breasts. Sadly I did not have the courage/presence of mind to ask for her to let let me have my picture taken with her, and was too slow to catch her "on film"

The trip down was a bit of an adventure as was the trip home I took US 17 part of the way and 95 part of the way.

On the return I took A1A back to JAX you dont have to go that far north but for the most part its quiet lots of it are worth seeing and it has me thinking about an A1A adventure in the future.

From the Porch The OlDog.

Love the pix. It was very nice to see Nick and Sammie again this year, particularly Nick standing unencumbered. Also great to see Lafayette. I agree with Oldog about meeting him, if you haven't been on a ride or spent some time with him, it is a must do. If there is something you want to do to a Buell, he has probably already done it. It was another great time in Daytona and Deltona this year. I put my bike on the DynoDrag and beat a VRods time and speed with much less horsepower - ET: 11.565, Speed 121, Horsepower 84.8.

AWESOME pics! It was great to see EVERYONE! It was a "smaller" party but man it was great to make new friends and catch up over the past year with old friends. Too many names to list, but thanks everyone for dropping by! Hopefully things will slow down some this year and I can make a ride somewhere other than back and forth to work.
