I am going to be the first to say that besides Lou I have seen very little effort on the dealers part to meet our expectations. Don't get me wrong I think they are still doing the best out of our choices, and there still may be something to gain out of working with them. I just now see that we can probably accomplish a lot more if we start thinking the independent route!

I think we have a great start to becoming a great motorcycle club, and I don't want something like BRAG or a Dealership to hold us back. I am just thinking out loud so any input would be appreciated!

HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
If any one is available and willing, I will be attending a Patriot Riders function for the funeral of a fallen Marine. The Marine lost his life in Iraq, and his father is a retired Ypsilanti Police officer.

Briefly the Patriot riders just ensure that Protesters due not disturb the family on the day of the funeral.

I am meeting with them on Friday at 9:00am in the parking lot at Washington and Pearl in down town Ypsilanti. The ride organizer said that it will probably take until 12:30pm until their services are not needed.

I have exams all week or I would, other than the fact I might beat a protester to death, that probably wouldn't go over well at the funeral. I've never seen anything as angering as those azzz's that protest at peoples funeral.

bike is not necessary! sorry I am not all there today! I just found out a very close friend of my was KIA.

If you can't make tomorrow I understand, but I will be asking the Patriot riders to come to my friends service. It would mean alot more to me if you guys could help with that ride. I will have more details later!

I don't have a lot of information, but for those of you that have been watching the News my friend was Sgt Bryan K Burgess. The News said he was from Canton, but he was really from Westland and he did not have any children as reported on the news.

Sgt Burgess received a fatal gun shoot wound to the neck from a sniper while supervising a vehicle check point. Sgt Burgess's body has made it back to the US, but I am still unsure of when the funeral is. The Patriot Riders will be asked to attend the funeral and any participation would be greatly appreciated.

Sgt Burgess and I did two tours over seas prior to him leaving this last time to go to Iraq. I always read in the paper about the Marines and Soldiers killed in Iraq, but it always seems so distant. It hits home when you have to hold a grieving loved one while they cry for their loss. Sgt Burgess would have given a complete stranger the shirt off his back if they asked, and his knowledge and skill will be greatly missed by the Corps.

I just wish every one in the US could truly see the sacrifice our Marines, Soldiers, Seamen, and Airmen give every day for this country! Especially those citizens who protest, and don't realize the only reason they can protest is for those sacrifices made in the years past!

Just post when the funeral is and I will do my best to get that day off for the Funeral. I prolly won't bring the bike, but I am loud enough to be a good barrier.

Purple Heart and Honorable Discharge Ceremony at 6:45 p.m.

10:00 a.m. Service

Bryan's Family requests no flowers. If you wish to make a donation the Family requests they be made to any Veterans Charity Fund or Organization in his name.
