Here's the shirt tally, please let me know ASAP if there are any errors as they're going to get printed in the next couple of days (or if you maybe want to order an extra or two...). As I promised, they will be $15.00 (maybe a dollar or two less once the printer finalizes the screens).
The shirts will have print on both sides. The final design is really cool. I think you will like them.

Well I was bored today so I decided to do a Splash pre-ride.
A couple of things to report: first, when on FS90 and you pass Curly Creek Rd (the road that comes down from the viewpoint) there's a sign about a road being closed. Don't worry about it, it doesn't affect the loop.
The usual unpaved sections are still there and signed. Be cautious at the second one at MP27 because you'll go back to pavement then go on a left-hander but stay left in the lane as most of the lane is dirt.
One section I don't recall from before is a fairly long stretch on FS88 (the single track road) a couple of miles after the turn off from FS90.
The other surprise was a big fresh stretch of sealcoat on Sunnyside Road out of Troutlake between there and Glenwood Road. It's before the curvy fast uphill stretch. Didn't seem too squirrely but I didn't push it.
Heading up Meadow Creek Rd (the road we turn on to from Wind River Hy past the hatchery out of Carson) you'll see that ominous "motorcycles use extreme caution" sign right before that fun stretch of twisties. Well it's up to you, but you may want to heed the sign and back it off a bit. They've done a bunch of patch paving and there is asphalt particles and oily stretches. Once you get to the parts where you see they've marked the pavement with white paint for where they're going to patch next, you're out of it.

Hi all,
Linda and I are planning on doing the same as last year for SPLASH. That is, we'll be camping in our van, trailering the bike to Woodland and riding w/ ya'all on Saturday. I'm assuming there's no Friday ride this year as I peruse the archives. We've been very busy of late so I've not kept up on these posts but we are excited about riding again. I haven't ridden nearly enough this year!!! Count us in for dinner Saturday night and if there is a spare L t-shirt around, I'll take it. If not, no worries! (I know I missed the deadline.) Also, Loni - let us know if you need us to bring anything for Friday night dinner. Looking forward to the ComRidery! MGinBend

Ok, Deb will be there on Friday morning to ride. I will not as I have to work. (SUCKS)

We just returned from Laguna and I have to say it was the best yet. (Flag Rooms Rock!)

Any Canadians coming are welcome Thursday night at our home. (or any night for that matter)

Looks like I won't make the Friday ride (drat!) and Linda's not coming so I'll ride up on Friday and be looking for a place to stay Fri & Sat night. I'll try to find a motel room in Woodland... If you guys know the Friday route let me know the route and a cell # and maybe I'll try to hook up along the way. Have Fun out there! MG

Shirts have been delivered.
Final price will, in fact, be $15.
Shirts are white Jerzees heavyweight cotton tees with a three-color graphic on back and two-color graphic on front.
Exact change will be appreciated ;)

With the USA economy these days, that $15 is more like $12 Canadian. Thank you Mr Bush.

Craig, Brian and I pulled off at Castle Rock for some breakfast, just as it was getting a little misty. With luck, the rain poured down while we ate, and subsided by the time we left.

The I-5 was a drone, as expected, but very much uneventful.

We all had a great time riding with everyone and are looking forward to more.

Thanks to everyone who volunteered with the organization of this ride!

Michael George made it home safe and sound (around 4pm) and fell asleep on the couch immediately. Understandable after three 300 plus mile days of intense riding and little sleep. Sounds like he had an awesome time. Sorry I missed it. Can't wait to see you all in Canada. MG sends thanks to everyone mentioned above and all his fun riding buds.

Guys and Gals,
I just can't describe how much it means to ride and be with you. You all feel like family. It's impossible to express my gratitude for the quilt. Kim, you did an unbelievable job. When I saw it and the thought and love that went into it, it means a lot.
The riding was great, the fact that my bike stayed together without any extra maintenance was nice for a change. I can't wait to see what the S version of the 1125 looks like.
Thanks again to Loni and Chris for the welcome at the park. Thanks to Eric for the cool T-Shirts. It took Marc and I almost 5 hours to get home with only one stop for gas. Good weekend people. I miss you already.
Plans for Border Raid to be announced this week.

After a delicious dinner and pint in The Ale House at Bellingham, Jimmy and I made it safely over the border with only a 20 minute line-up. Got home about 8:30. And I just crawled out of a long soak in the tub so I'm done like dinner.

What a great weekend! A big thankyou to Chris and Loni, as always, for the fine feeding. And Eric for the effort on the shirts. And Kimberley for the dinner arrangements amd the quilt for Bib. And Bob and Deb fore the hospitality.

This is starting to look like a bad Oscar' speech.

Thank you all for being such a great bunch.

Hope to see you all soon.

Hope to see Harve on Wednesday night for a Beer Shrine Planning session.

Kim the quilt was great and Harv was the perfect person to win it.
Eric the t-shirts were perfect.
Thank you both for all the hard work.

I had a great time at SPLASH. Sorry about being a dud Saturday, I was one hurtin unit. Went to the doctor today and I am hopeful I can get a handle on this nerve impingement problem. Thanks for all the fun!

I’m such a procrastinator!
By the time I get to the keyboard everything has been said several times and several ways.

Ditto! Me too! I second that!

It’s definitely the most anticipated weekend of the year. Firstly for the friends and secondly for the best riding a group can ask for.

Thanks to all my best friends.

It was my pleasure to make something that represents what SPLASH is all about - friends coming together from all over to ride together and most importantly try and figure out WWBD...... : )

I wish I had the resources to make one for everyone - a way for us to all snuggle up while dreaming about the next time we come together.

I miss you already -

Kimberlie

ps.... thanks to Shotgun for starting the guilt ball rolling - what next? Perhaps Bob might know - oh yeah you created WWBD as well didn't you!
