BeachBuell and I went on our first ride with the South Florida sportbike group...we took the reverse route around lake okechobee... everyone was awesome..they loved our bikes. Everyone had metric bikes on this ride...but again, they were all really nice. We rode about 350 miles for the day...if you guys are into group rides, or even just want to see who's up for a spontaneous ride, I posted the link above to their website..they have a lot of traffic HUGS Angela | ||

Piddling out altogether. That's good though, I already don't want to see my insurance bill. Hey, since last year was a record slam, and this year so far uneventful, I'm sure all those insurance companies will be lining up to pay us BACK some of those premiums, based on much less than predicted activity, RIGHT? Sorry, I know, not Buell related. But I am at work, and I did ride my Lightning in. Strapped the rear wheel to the guard rail, figured it will be there in the morning that way, for sure.  | ||

OK, sound off. Haven't heard from anyone much. I'm interested in riding the Dragon either the couple of days before the timeshare week or at the end. So, planning on either September 29-30 or October 6-8th timeframes. I'm yanking mine up, may have room for one more with mine. Anyone game? And I forgot in the original post, who's doing the Poker Run? My brother is flying in, and Rick McGee and the Roadhouse Rockers will be the band at Margaritaville. So I'm in for a one day Poker Run and the Show, for a one day thing, and then back to Homestead the same night. 15th is best for me! met up with Drummer_boy @ Peterson's open house this weekend. the Buell Demo tour was present and had pretty much every variation of color and style of '07s except for Blast's. they also had '07 Harley's including the new Night Rod Special. 11 Buell's for demo's and 12 Harley's for demo's. it was very hot' but luckily no rain. was hoping to see more Bueller's but on Saturday only 5 other people even rode Buell's other than Drummer_boy and I; and only 1 guy from Italy was even remotely interested in becoming one of us! anyone make it on Sunday? | ||

funny thing....here I am enjoying my time on Badweb-still with a grin from riding Buell's and Harley's when my phone rings! 314 area code-I'm curious and answer and it is Harley customer service calling and asking me of my recent experience at Peterson's? of interesting note was that she mentioned Buell several times while referring to the dealer even before I mentioned that I own one. she asks what suggestions I have to improve Peterson's service to me; which I responded that although Peterson's does a fair job-in general Buell ownes/riders feel a lack of enthusiasm and or support from most Harley dealers in general and maybe even a little more Buell related apparel and general accessories would be nice. curious if it will have any positive affects? | ||

Hey Torq. Took the 40 mile plus run down the intercoastal on the Yamaha SR230. Sweet. Sat off Islamorada with 8 other boats and we were all having a great time. Got back just before dark 30. Bri - Doing Peterson's Poker run on Friday 9/15. I did make the Sunday trip to HD-South. 1 Lightning was the total Buell(s) available for test ride. I didn't even bother, didn't really care to ride it. I wasn't there more than 15 minutes. Nothing for Buell mania in the South store. I wish I had the time to make the North store more often. I always feed back I'd appreciate some Buell apparel with sleeves that reach down to past my elbows. I'm quite serious here. The jackets are all painfully short, like mid sleeve length. Oh well. I think to get a Buell savvy shop you'd have to visit one of the Badweb Site Sponsors. You all would flip to see some of the apparel I picked up at Appleton! Go Dave S! | ||

Closing in on the end of the month. The Poker run was HOT. Very Hot. Not too great, but not bad. Hate to have to admit this, but Homecoming was much better. So, listen up and plan for June of 2007, let's all get together in Wisconsin. End of month or end of First week in October, Dragon Run is on the list. Heading to the Timeshare in NC, plan on taking a day or two to do the Dragon. Anyone interested? I have room to tow up 1 other bike besides mine. If all goes too well, we may have a local as a guide... | ||
