Toona, just figure we are a small but powerful community, and helping out a friend/brother/fellow rider is the least we can do. Thanks.

Hey guys,
I'm back up at college at good old Indiana PA. I have a pretty busy schedule, but once I get settled in and have a few free weekends, Im hoping to do some riding. Toona, I saw some pics of your bike, congrats on the quality! I was thinking next weekend Sept 9-10 of taking a long hauld down south, maybe into VA for a spell. Ferris and I are hoping to catch each other during the BratPac II ride. I will keep you posted as things progress.
Take care guys,
Brian Cessna

Brian, good to hear your back at school after all the medical woes. Let me know on the BPII ride. If you are going WAY south into VA, I don't have that kind of time, but I don't think they are coming very far north. I checked the thread when it started, but I'm going to be in Michigan when they get to the northern end of the ride. Bummer.
Thanks for the compliment on the paintwork.

Hey Brian,

Thanks for coming to our rescue a during our ride through the BRP a few weeks back. It was a pleasure to meet you, and your family, and Kate.
Here are a few pics from our visit...

Thanks for all your help, and your hospitality. And for the escort down into Virginia.
I look forward to our next meeting!

I will have to give Ferris a call to find out where they will be on friday-saturday. I hope the storm did not cause any problems for them. I maynot be able to afford going too far south, so I may just wait a little until they get to their farthest point north in VA, or until they cut up into Ohio.

Bart, glad I could help you and Mona! I hope we get some more miles and beer under our belts. I for the lunch the lunch and pics in VA. Kate greatly appreciated your help with our vacation. She is pretty amazed how Buelligans look out for one another... and how crazy we are. I will take some pics of the WLA in about two weeks for you.
Oh yeah, Prior, Kate, and I hung out this past weekend from friday till monday, he came home to visit his parents. We talked for awhile, eating crabs, tipping a few pints, and of course our conversation turned to what sounded like a Bill Brasky skit. "Did Bart tell you about the beer pyramid? We road over 100 miles to stuff a case in our saddlebags" "How about 38 bikes stuffed in a shop and hanging from the rafters!" "How many parts did he drag? Is the kick stand ground off?" "To Art Bartlett!".
Take care buddy.

PS Dad liked your comment, "when one comes to PA, just talk to a buddy. They will take you on every back road the GPS doesn't know about."

Glad to hear you two had a good time drinking in my honor, LOL.

Beer pyramid?

Too funny, that was a fun trip, I had a great time with Alex,
wish I could have gone all the way across the country with him, LOL.

That's true about them back roads too!

Hey fellas, I'm done with classes till Monday. I dont have the necessary funds needed to go down and visit the guys on the BratPAC II ride, however I would like to do some riding this weekend. I have a birthday party tommorrow starting around 4, but the rest of today, tommorrow morning, and probably most of the day sunday I am free. If any one around Indiana, PA wants to go for a rip this weekend feel free to call me!

Hey Brian, tentatively the church group I ride with is planning on riding to the Flight 93 Memorial near Somerset Sat morning. I'll call on your cell when I know more info, if you are interested. Maybe we could meet around Ebensburg?

Paging Brian: The church group wants to meet in Ebensburg @ 8:00 for breakfast. That's too early for me and Mike ( the other guy in the shop w/ an XB). We figure we'd get out of here around 9:00, and could meet at the Ebensburg McDonalds around 9:30. we could either do a bike show in Windber (goes all day) or ride to the Flight 93 Memorial.

Hey the annual Lansdale Bike Night is on tomorrow. I will ride there...look at some chrome, listen to mediocre outdoor bands, etc. FUN!

Thanks for the reminder. I will probably give it a go. I would like to connect with some other Buell riders in the area. We need a little more Buell rider activity in Eastern PA.

Is there any good place to meet? Park etc?

Know if there are any Buell riders in the Blue Comet club?

Dan and Mike, thanks alot for the ride, was a real good time. We have to get together again soon! Seeing that awesome paint job in person was excellent!
Does anyone here know of someone riding a Black Uly, I saw him today at 3:15pm at the sheetz station off of Scalp Ave in Johnstown.

Sting, you didn't beat us home by much, although we took a scenic ride on part of the reservoir ride.
Mike and I both had fun, glad you did too!
Not sure on the Uly?

Carlost, sorry I did not see your post before I left. Internet problems temporarily. I did see one Blast there and one tuber with a very nice paint job.

Given the thousands of bikes there I was a bit surprised at the rarity of the Buells.

I arrived about 7:30 and left about 9:30. That was the largest biker event I have ever attended. Pretty well behaved while I was there.

Alchie how'd you like the custom S3 from the 929 guys? We got talking to them and they were very cool. He had the stock rear rim widened to 6" and mounted a 200 Metzeler...looked cool anyway.

Next time...

Carlost,

I saw the paint on the S3 but missed the rear tire. Unfortunately, I did not Speak with them either. Sounds like I missed an opportunity.

Looks like this weekend will be nice. Anything going on I should be aware of? I am hoping to find some other Buell riders in the SE PA area.

There is something wrong with my headlight adjustment. I just had the HD folks set it and they say it is fine but I don't think so. I really would like to see how other dual bulb Buells lights work to confirm whether it is just me or something else.

I am switching to traction hand grips tonight (while it is raining) so I will be ready for the dry weather.

I was contacted about the following weekend's ride to Liberty HD in Rahway NJ for the Queensryche ride. I'm not sure that I really care to ride around that part of Joisey...matter of fact there aren't many parts of Joisey I really care for.

Here's some info for local riders:
Saturday September 23rd

12:00 noon
Queensryche at
Liberty Harley Davidson/Buell
12 W. Milton Ave, Rahway, NJ
732-381-2400
http://www.libertyharley.com

3:30pm Will ride 2 hours to Atlantic City show at the House of Bluse

Extra:

Buell demo truck from the Buell Motor Company at dealership
Anyone interested in test riding any of the Buell models, as well as some selected Harley-Davidson models can take them out on the road for a real life test ride. All they have to do is have a valid motorcycle license, boots and jeans for riding apparel, and sign a waiver.

Erik Buell and the Thunderbolts are the featured band that day and will be playing their brand of Rock & Roll for everyone's entertainment.
The new Buell XBRR (The Buell factory race bike) will also be on display along with our other race Buell.

Along with all that Liberty H-D will be providing an all day barbecue and lots of other surprises.

My travel route to Liberty:

Leave Altoona @ 5:00 a.m., trailering to Harrisburg area around Rt 81/Paxtonia. I don't care to ride in that cold of weather and in the dark. Unload bike around 7:00 a.m. ride RT 78 to Liberty. I'm guessing time frame from H-burg to Liberty is 2 1/2 to 3 hrs.

Due to other commitments, I'll be leaving from Liberty (not going on the VH1 ride) around 4:00/5:00ish back 78 to H-burg.

Anyone interested in riding? I picked RT 78 because I don't care to be a target on the T-pike or I-80, not that I ride slow....

Buellman39 and Toona,

I will be leaving from the Royersford/Collegeville area some time around 8. I sent a PM for Buellman39 since he may be going my way. There may be someone from Phoenixville as well.

Probably see you up there at least.

Made the party and had a good time. Great to see some faces for some of the names on the list. Met Eric for the first time and he was just as nice as he has been described.

The Queensryche bikes were stunning and guys were very nice.

Sorry to say I missed meeting Toona but I heard he was there.

Rode in and out with some very nice folks and had an all around good time and picked up some additional Buell gear.
