HAHAHA! Tank busted you on that one sucka! I'd hate yellow too if my living room looked like a schoole bus HARDEEHARHAR! That is a fine mount you got there. Enjoy it because you killed the bird of a lifetime in your first outing. Really gives you something to look forward to huh? After that fine smoke this evening we are even on the guide fees. Nuts, I guess I didn't escape the stress related episode afterall. Been fighting it now for 2 hours and still hasn't let up. I had to break out the heavy duty antihistamines which I very rarely have to do. I didn't eat anything other than grilled chicken so I reckon it just took a few days to hit. Hopefully they won't be calling you to transport me LOL? Tank is really gettin' on ya' man. You better break out the chops and show him what you're made of before he starts to think you are a wuss. As long as I don't have to paint I could care less what color the house is. Honestly it was about a shade darker when we moved in but the wife wanted it. She pays for it and does the work. Believe me it is much easier to accept it and use it as a bargaining tool for all the bike mods. I just have the excitement of riding with Pops for the first time! This will actually be the first time him and I will venture out on the roads together. And after that wears off we'll be only about a month from our Dragon trip! Man-a-live, I can't wait. NUTS | ||

This wet weather has me bummed. But Superbikes last night was quite inspiring. It seemed like those guys were getting their knee down at 30-40mph. Jackie, the hail today was only golf ball size; I can't believe you bailed on our ride! Quitter.  NUTS | ||

I figured with the rain I would pay Mr. Hicks a visit. My Deer was every bit as big as the others with the exception of the Mule Deer. Course with you being a city slicker I wouldn't expect you to know the difference. I bet when you saw that big ole' Mulie you thought "Man I bet that is a state record". Mr. Hicks went on to say that he feels you owe me bigtime for turning you on to such a big Gobbler. I told him that trying to get anything from you was like trying to squeeze blood from a turnip  . Back to my Deer. He was so tall I had to take the mantel down so he would clear the ceiling. Maybe we will get your first doe mounted this season so you can remember the excitement of the hunt and the cost of the 5 bullets it will take you to finally hit it (Oh gash!!). | ||

How, exactly do you mount a doe... ..nevermind, I'll leave that for Nuts to figure out. I'm getting excited for the trip, But, although I have been there before, I cannot plan a ride for the cruisers. I have made the "loop" through the skyway to Tellico, up rt 360 to the main highway rt 411, and back down the dragon. It was a half day trip, and one more trip "up and back" through the dragon was enough of a day for my ass to take. Whoopt', I was. I had a gixxer1k on my tail but the cruisers could take all day. Tank, If anybody can figure out how to mount a doe it would be Nuts'. Once he puts his mind to it he can accomplish almost anything! Nice pictures! I can't believe we have been planning this for over a month and you are just now breaking out the pictures from your last trip. Man, that is pretty sorry ! I notice you are enjoying a delicious fermented beverage. Boy you and Nuts are going to be hard to put up with once ya'll get a few in ya' each evening. | ||

I'm too excited by Tank's pictures even attempt any sort of snappy comeback. You'd think with as many curves as we have up here the Dragon wouldn't seem so ellicit. But it does! Lookin forward to our trip more each day: is that possible? It looks like the Floridians have a real chance of maxing out their accomodations. Hey Tank how many does your casa sleep?  Jackie, how's about we pack some venison for the city slickers? I'd like to ride up to Paint bank and get some Buffalo for Pops arrival too. NUTS No Does were violated in the production of this post. Oh yeah, bye the way I almost tossed my cookies this morning. I watched this surgeon stick her finger into this dudes tracheostomy to stop the hemorhaging. I was cool as a cucumber while doing chest compressions but once I saw that I seriously had to start thinking about breathing. All while the MD wife was watching in horror! That was NUTS | ||

Nuts, Fresh out of Venison other than one pack o' steak left and ya'll ain't getting it!! Gentlemen, I present to you the yellow Firebolt!  Somehow the white rims have grown on me and may be staying around if Nuts doesn't tease me too much . I took a quick run up Windy Gap and she performed well. Woulda' called you Nuts but it looked cloudy and I couldn't stray far from the house and take the chance of my new ride getting wet. We couldn't have that now could we? And finally, One of Franklin Co. finest.  A mere spike in Jasons' eyes but we'll see how long that lasts when Deer season opens!! | ||

Very sharp lookin' ride! I like the way the deer is turned slightly, not straight-on like every other one. Very cool. ...just now breaking out the pictures.. I don't have many, so I'm trying to space them out. 7 weeks left!(approx.) Hey Tank how many does your casa sleep? There are 6 "full" beds(2 in ea. bedroom) plus a pull out couch, and a pool table in the garage(that would be a "hard" night's sleep)(and yes, I have...not fun). Tank | ||

I didn't put it together until just now, but I met our future landlord, Mr Ron Johnson, last year. Bought a couple stickers from him. Pretty cool cat with hands in a lot of goings-on around the area. All's quiet 'til NUTS rolls through and proclaims, "why aren't we fishin?" Like all the other tales this one ends with NUTS landing the biggest fish of the day! I know if we would've rolled the bikes out we surely would've been wet. Go fishin instead and don't see a drop until we get to the car. Tomorrow we ride, if the weather is good to us. On another thread he mentioned he read somewhere we were going to be down there on Sept 10th. Like I said I didn't mention anything about lodging because I didn't figure it was my place and we still don't even have a total for our two crews yet. My freakin' feet are sore from walking barefoot! I am still awestruck that you didn't share your nugget of wisdom with me regarding rinsing out my boots. I figure you finally get one good idea you should share it with a brutha ! | ||

You know he has to show off at least a little.  Jackie, Yes, he did get back with me. Looks like he's a definite maybe, with possible others. Sounds like another fiasco similar to Nuts and the Floridians. I also sent a note to Mr. Johnson to find out where to check in, pick up keys, directions, etc.. No response yet. Nuts, it would be great if you could throw out even a ballpark headcount. Like 8-10, 10-15, 50-100?? I really don't want to lead anyone on if we are short on beds. Tank, Total max of 13 with 2 of those being myself and the "chosen fisherman." I would gladly sleep on the floor of a trailer so we could get more Bueller's in on the ride. I sure would like to see you recoup some of the $ you put out for the house. The house can sleep 10 comfortably (sort of) now if 3 others take up residence with you? Depending what those guys from Buelldom are expecting maybe they could rent a the smallest place and we'd all be chummy! Jackie, I did indeed take Pops up the BRP and into Floyd. We came home via 221 and I only saw 110 mph once. Now that's control! I'll call you with the details. NUTS | ||

P.S. I'm staying the whole time...taking Monday off work to recoup from the trip. How long is the Fla crew staying? I read that Ya'll 2 cats are leaving Friday, right? That should be enough. I think by Thursday night, we will all be in the garage, ass-whoopt, on our knees, praying to the Buell gods...."We're not worthy". (somebody should get a pic) Tank | ||

Tank I believe the Floridians will be leaving by Saturday. Their rental is from Sunday to Sunday but I'm gonna guess they'll hightail it before then. I think several of them are planning to leave just after mid-week, but once they get a taste for the roads who knows. NUTS Pics rule, I'm hoping to score a few memories. | ||
