getting off work in davie friday night 'round 7pm. meeting up with Raymond and his CityX,somewhere on South Beach. Sflabuell says he may also make it. met up with 2 XB's and a Triumph TT on SoBe; rode south to Blackpoint Marina and had some grub; then south to Florida City via the back roads behind Homestead AFB and the raceway--just Buelling around - approx 75 miles riding--good fun can't make holiday park! | ||

Sounds really good, Torq. The 9R will be on the road by Monday night. The Lightning is in way too many pieces. I have to work swing shift T-Th, So I can't make Fuddrucker's this week. Hope to see you all real soon. I'm up for a morning ride W or TH, if anyone is game... | ||

CCS is at Homestead on Saturday and Sunday. Big races are Sunday Noon to 5. I'll be there on the 9R, but NOT racing. Hope to see some of you there. Clif | ||

can't make CCS either-working both days. M2m2--I replaced my tires @ Peterson's Buell;-I put the Pirelli Scorpion Syncs (stock on the CityX) on my XB12Scg and have loved them ever since---they also only charged me $37 each installed--overall a great experience | ||

Bought mine online also, but had Peterson's South install at $37 also. Seems like a great deal. I went with the Metzeler's, but all of the guys at Fuddrucker's are swearing by the Scorpions. | ||

I went with the Pirelli's because they were factory equip on the CityX and were available @ Peterson's north--price was fair @ $105 front and $130 rear--and was simple to just bring them the entire bike and have it back a few hours later for only $75 labor! they also told me that if I brought in the wheels off the bike and purchased the tires from them the install would be free--call them to verify BTW Metzeler and Pirelli are the same company -they just use slightly different tread patterns and carcass shapes--also on a side note-the Scorpion Syncs are standard equip also on the KTM 950 supermoto--so they can't be all bad-- | ||

Has anyone heard anything about hooters since that kid died a couple weeks ago? We went there last thursday and it was a ghost-town AND no peterson's truck..I heard some ugly rumors, just wanted to hear if anyone else heard them too. | ||

Wed have to work some, Th all day, off at 4:30. Th is bad for me, with Fuddruckers and Golf. So Wednesday is best. Didn't hear about the kid. Sounds tragic. I can't imagine the pain of a child's death. Appears the X1 is down with a main journal blown. I should have the balance of the motor in pieces this week. Been looking at getting another X1 to tide me over.... Found one here (on Badweb). Just have to convince my wife I can't live without it... LOLFOF SURE! | ||

Hooter's show is wednesday nights so the Peterson's wouldn't have been there thursday. might consider Hooter's Pembroke Pines this wednesday if others show and weather permits--I live in Cutler Ridge area and makes for a long solo ride to be the only Buell present. Sflabuell, wednesday's cool with me---should be available all day--gimme a call ANY OTHER Dade/Broward up for rides in the next 2 days? feel free to shoot me a ring @ 305-495-4174--call me because I wont be near a computer for another 2 days after 6pm tonight | ||

Actually, call me dork..we WERE there Wednesday..it was a ghost-town, aside from a VERY small group of sport bikes. Supposedly, a couple/few weeks ago, a kid on a sport bike did a wheelie out on the main road and was hit by a car and died. SUPPOSEDLY, there was a huge crack-down at Hooters, following the accident, by a week or so, and something like 40 bikes were flat-bedded out of there, after being cited for various things by the police. I was interested in knowing if anyone witnessed these events. Like I said, we were there last Wednesday, and the whole place was filled with cars, no Peterson's truck and maybe 40 or so bikes there... | ||

Anyone else get an invitation from Pompano, for this weekend? Dealership pricing to get the inventory lower? If I see a 2004 12R in Blue witht he white/silver wheels, I'm a goner... Haven't even considered being out for 2 or three days. I can handle rain, but NOT thunderboomers. | ||

i KNOW THE WEATHER'S BEEN sucking, so we'll see if anyone wants to get together for Friday night or Saturday morning. Either is better for me this week. Hope to see you all soon Oh, the lightning has a spun main bearing for sure. |
