Nvts,
Nah man, I stayed up until 8:00a.m. watching Christine and then was forced to sleep in until 4:30p.m.. I then wallowed in the bed and watched a motorcycle race. I couldn't tell you what it was but it was pretty entertaining. I think it was called Moto GP or something along those lines. One of the guys names was Rossi but that is about all I could follow. No Buells though.
I took the kids to VBS, came home and ate, worked out and then layed back down for the evening. Sounds pretty exhausting huh?

Yeah, you're a real thrillseeker Jackie. All this rain is really tearing me up. Not only does it forbid me from riding but it has shocked the grass out of its midsummer burn. Translation-I got some cutting to do! That MotoGP race was incredible. At one point there were 3 Americans in the top 3 positions. I'll explain it all to you over a dip sometime. I was going to invite you over for the race but then I remembered I had already ordered 50 hot wings and a sixer. Just the smell had the dog in tears. So when are we riding next? If you want to check out the BMW shop we're going to have to either take the car or leave early on a Saturday morning. We'll figure it out. NVTS

Looks like our riding will be on hold until at least Thursday. I have the softball banquet Friday so it looks like perhaps this weekend.
What say to a Saturday jaunt down to Lynchburg to check out the different brands? I know you probably aren't real keen on the idea but we can take 460 down to save time and then back road it on home.
That yellow Firebolt in the paper is giving me fits! I have mulled over all the different ways I could come up with the funds but can't quite figure it out. I think I would be almost as happy with an 06' Bolt (except for those white rims)versus waiting two years for the Beemer. Lord knows I would be much less in debt!
Figuring how I dig yellow and black so much I could take the rims off and have them powdercoated black with the polished lip. Say it with me now, BLING, BLING!!

Jackie, the BMW shop does not have the bike your looking for in stock. i did some checkin for ya today. I had Pop checkin down south too. Looks like you're gonna have to break down and get the Yeller '06. Quit being a sucker and just do it. NUTS

Black = Anti-BLING....I say yes. Polished lip on black wheel = badass bling.

My yellow "S" sits now with silver front and Black rear. I need to find a mint black front rim. That would be "Nuts"(pun intended).

Tank,
My love for the yellow and black scheme comes from a group called Stryper back in the late 80s. Even though I get made fun of a plenty I still listen to the hair metal bands to this day.
The new bike would be awesome but I think it is just wishful thinking right now. On the other hand I have a couple of decent Cooper rifles I could sell to Nuts to finance the acquisition. Heck I have even considered selling off the Polaris to get it and then get a smaller cheaper one to replace it later on. My mind is warped man. I need HELP!!

The only help you'll get is by making a big, foolish purchase. If you sell your Firebolt, you'd only owe about a Cooper and a half. And chicks dig yellow bikes, the yellow helps them look past the goofy helmet and clunky boots too! Just imagine your reflection in the store windows on a yellow and black monster! NUTS is a bad man.

Nuts,
Some help you are man! You are supposed to say "yeah I'll buy the Coopers", give me a deposit and then the fun begins . Seriously though, my lil' blue Firebolt suits me fine. True there are some scratches here and there (mainly on the front wheel hub from a tire change gone horribly wrong), but she certainly gets me the attention I so desperately crave .

Bloochdog,
Welcome to our little corner of Badweb. Feel free to jump in and join the revelry.

Jackie,
Sounds pretty normal to me....guess it takes one to know one.

You see, I too am a product of the 80's hair bands. Dio, Cinderella, Motley Crue, etc.. From Aerosmith to ZZ-Top, still love the music.

Oh gracious Tank! Now you have made me have a flashback. I am going to be forced to listen to a bit o' Ronnie James Dio this evening. Who knows, with a little luck and the rain finally tapering I may see a "Rainbow In The Dark" (Oh man, I am too good BWAHAHAHA!).

Nuts,
You are welcome to be David Lee Roth. I however get to be Steve Vai who was his guitarist during the Eat Em' And Smile tour. That brotha has got some CRAAZY talent. I somehow pictured you as more of a Jethro Tull kinda guy though. I can just picture you singing Aqualung.

Whatever you say Jethro! . I distinctly remember you making flute like sounds during Turkey season (both with the call and without ). Usually followed up by "woops that was way louder than I thought it would be".

Dog,
If you ever get over this way in your travels be sure to look me and Nuts up. Be nice to share our amazing adventures with someone else so Tank and Charlie don't think we are making this stuff up.

That is some kind of fine looking riding form you got going on there Tank. I hope they get one of me that gives the illusion of much speed and agility.
I guess when we meet just wear your gear so we know who you are when we roll onto the scene LOL!!
Those curves look awful purty and flickable. I can already see why some people get in over their heads.

Tank, I'll be signing up for my first Track school today. It'll be at VIR but not with Cornerspeed. Those guys want $400 and there aren't any dates available before our Dragon run. Team Pro-Motion will be there late July early August and only want $250. So it looks like the best of both worlds. I am having serious coniptions about the proper gear to purchase. Maybe I'll be renting me a suit so I can see if I can justify having a one-piece for the streets. I've got my eye on a host of other options, just wish I could actually see the product and give it a try before I buy. When you meet us Jackie will be the cat who looks like he's trying too hard. Bikes too shiny, jeans are too high, and AARP card is taped to his helmet.

Well the sun is shining and I'm a waiting for the roads to get all cleaned up. I need some time with the bike and a few hundred dead bugs. NUTS

Nuts,
You still whining about the 1 piece leathers? As tall as you are it will take 3 kangaroos to make that suit. Also factor in that walnut sized bladder of yours. You'll be stripping those things off every 30 minutes to go pee.

Charlie,
Never fear, I have one of those retractable leashes that I am going to attach to his new leathers. I also plan on taking a big bag of those jerky like treats to keep him in line. Don't let him fool you though Charlie. We got caught at a stoplight the other day and the store beside us had mirrored windows. You should have seen that ole' dog checking out his reflection. He got so excited I though he was going to get off the bike in the middle of town and pee on a few fire hydrants.

Dog,
Have fun man and be safe. If you get a wild hair and want to stop by this way on your return trip let me know. We are planning a nice ride for Sunday afternoon.

O.K., here's the story on the passenger peg...

First run up the dragon. Nervous. I pick a spot at the back of the pack(last). We haul through the hills pretty good and arrive at a spot called "the overlook"(good turn-around spot). I pull up next to the others, go for the kickstand, pants leg hangs on peg, stand never makes it.....

Over I go! Broken left rider peg and clutch lever. Swapped the passenger pegs into the rider position, and rode the rest of the week with no problems.

Nuts,
Going to the track after all(hehe). You will not be the same after, I promise.

I HIGHLY recommend some fresh, sticky rubber. Pirelli Diablo Corsas work real nice for me. Kind of pricey, but worth the peace of mind. Never had a tire slip once through one Riderschool plus one track day. They are still plenty good too. I'll be runnin' them in Sept.

Tank sorry for the delay. I was hoping to have a "hard" number by now. I am supposed to get a definite Monday night. There are several who are planning on going (pushing the number up toward the limit) but are unsure if they want to stay the whole week. They are also unsure which part of the week they are looking to attend. I am pretty frustrated by all of this but alas this is not my trip and I don't have much say. I'd hate to have you rent a whole house and then find out we could have squeezed you in. Then again, I'd hate to say we have room only to be upstaged by late admissions. So please, do what you think best. NUTS is going to sleep!

I feel for both of us on that one. I should be able to swing the house by myself, but I have "bad spending habits" like ya'll do.....

Going to pick up my project bike tomorrow. Meeting the dude near Roanoke Rapids for the exchange. I met the dude at VIR both times I was there. Seems like a stand up redneck like us. Post results later tomorrow...
