You guys sure you are not stuck back in your sixties version of the area? I have not seen any Amish out here... have had the pleasure of scaring away a few of the Jehovas, but that is another story... all I did was share with them the joys of Shamanism and Gay Pride Marches, hoping they might reap the rewards of a similar enlightenment...oh, but that was in Madison actually.

If you leave RoadAmerica and head through Elkhart Lake and then meander from there towards Lake Winnebago you will travel through Amish and Mennonite and horse territory. There's a bunch of buggyland on the east side of the Lake. Main roads maybe not, but side roads definitely. I wandered around that area a bit two summers ago.

Not to mention the State Patrol and County Mounties are thicker than flies on those Road Apples when heading south especially when there is an event at Road America.

Whew, just learned how to edit a post. Interesting, otherwise this would have been the double post with the spelling errors. Jokes on me!

Localized vernacular, "County Mounties" are like Deputy Sheriffs and the State Patrol sometimes wear the flat wide brim hats. No "Official" Canadian Mounties, but the ones down here much like the ones up there do their best to always get their man. And most of them have a lot of experience chasing and tracking local kids on dirt bikes so us not-so-local yahoos tend to just pull over if it looks like we caught the eye of one of the Badged Brethren. Plus, when they come flying over the top of a hill and have to slam on their brakes because you're already standing there on the shoulder with your helmet off tends to disarm them a might bit and often eases the tension greatly, which in itself can ease the strain on the wallet and driver's points on the old license. YMMV. ;)

Drove past TWT in Brookfield last night. Large crowd for first event of the season. Culvers not open yet, but should be soon.

Mike...I would guesstimate about 100 bikes there at 7:15 PM and I saw many more headed that way. Typical all brand mix. Usually 2-6 Buells there, sometimes more. Normally runs till 9:00 PM but I didn't stick around to see if the parking lot lights were operational yet.

Format is like any other bike night. That is park it and go tire kicking. Everyone gets along well and the folks you meet are quite interesting.

Easiest way to get there is Hwy 41/45 to Capitol Dr. West on Capitol, South on 124th about 1-1/2 blocks, west on Feerick (SP?) about 1/2 block. Parking Lot is on the right.

Hope to see you there!

Bike is on the road!! Put about 15 miles on her. Still need to bleed the front brake, & bore out my 6 gun throttle. The friction causes the handlebar to expand & the grip gets real tight, so tight you cant move it. Put the stocker back on for now. Still waiting on my rear rim but the indy shop let me use this solid rim in the meantime.

Yea, I emailed Landmark about my spoke fitment issue, but no response so far. Gonna call em tomorrow. Will look soooooo much better with that rim.

Dana, you have a mikuni on your bike? If not you really really need to get one. Unbelieveable how much different it is.

Anybody up for Two Wheel Tuesday tonight? It's just down the street from me. If you want to meet at our house, let me know. Sorry for the late notice. :)

Jerry

P.S. ~400 miles and counting. Considering the weather, that isn't toooooo bad.

Little too chilly for me & the wife to be taking a run up there today. Gonna get real damn cold when the sun goes down.

Did get about 50 miles put on the bike today tho. Still gotta get that front brake done. Taking it to an indy on friday..I give up on it.
