Larry - you may have. He had something to drop off to Spike. Carlos should have been with him on the M2.

Cyclone:

I will be relocating in town I currently live about 600 ft from the north side of the UNCW campus,
I will be moving south into the "Monkey Junction" area. Wrightsville beach is OK if you live in town its quiet but can be difficult to find parking.
Carolina beach is good if you live south of town. there is a board walk and other entertainments there, further south there is Ft fisher. Myrtle beach is an afternoon day trip if desired lotts to do there.
There are a number of things to do here, beside the beach.
Including the local Battle Ship.

After moving here from Atlanta, I passed on moving to Charlotte with my former corperate job.
Once you adjust You will love it "rush hour" is about 20 minutes,
New Hanover schools are pretty good, Pender north of us is said to be so-so school wise.

Real-estate has "gone stupid" here and you may find housing is a little pricey here.

I don't want to sound rude If you would not mind I would like to recommend an agent to you, Rebecca Lawson with Seacoast realty
I worked with her for 10 years or so at my former job she is an excelent agent, and a good person.

not many spectacular riding roads here,
but Myself and Terry P a fellow bueller (nice '02 M2) have started scouting new roads, I would love to have another riding partner!)
I will be moving the 15th of next month
so Welcome to Wilmington area
I will post my phone# when moved (it may change)

Speaking of change its been a couple of DECADES since I changed a bike tire, I wanna remember Brankin saying something about changing one using hand tools
1313 if your out there and I am not doing the cranial flatulence thing any info?
I need to economize a little, just blew a wad of cash on furniture.

Did you ever resolve the side stand issue on the Vrod?

OLdog's # nine one zero four five two zero seven three five [ no cell phone ]

Maybe we need a C3 weekend at the beach.

I have a small 1 Bdrm after July 15 lets discuss.
I could offer sleeping and clean up facilities.
its about 20 minutes from the beach ( there are showers at some access points here )

I would be delighted to have company!

U4 it was by your say so that I got em from Daves
my only concern is that the tuber is 50 pounds heavier and I am a "dainty" 250# my self

We love the Wilmington Area...Just seems so far from the Raleigh Trash Dump. Try to get down that way as much as possible. We like to go down to Carolina beach as we can go out on the beach at Freeman park and choose our own little stretch of beach(one of the benefits of 4wd). Oh and I saw a V-Rod yesterday painted With American flag and a USMC theme, really nice. And another V-Rod with a Amber XB front wheel...Looked pretty cool. Larry

We are talking of going to watch Fireworks over the Battleship on the 4th. We went last year and they were spectacular.

Above is the link to the schedule of events for the Tall Ships. I'm not sure that Carlos and I would get tickets, but rather walk the boardwalk, see the ships and dinner later. We're open to whatever the group wants to do though.

not many spectacular riding roads here,

Not far from the Wilmington area, there's some decent roads. One you'll see mentioned here from time to time is Old Maple Hill Rd. (or OMH for short). From Wilmington, you can either run north to Burgaw, then east on 53, or run north on US17 then north on 50. OMH is about 5 miles south of the intersection 50&53. Then as you work north and east particularly, there's a bunch of decent roads for the area. Not mountain corkscrews by any means, but are entertaining, in good shape, and lightly traveled.

Get up M2NC, Southern Marine, 1313, or Webethumpin, any of them can get you there.

BTW: OMH is as close to a twistie as it gets. It's a popular place for many sport bike riders and especially the BRAT (Back Roads Adventure Team) club from Back Roads Triumph near Jacksonville. It does have a couple of technical, tight twists that do bite if you're not paying attention. Both Webe and I have had, uh, incidents on OMH.
Walk the ditch line after the bridge heading west on OMH and see how many bike parts you can identify!

Signing off for now from the wilds of Indiana,

Defector Director

Sad thing is they have actually had a few deaths on OMH, riders running off the road. They believe one of them was forced off in a racing incident. OMH is open now. I wish they had fixed that one bridge where it is really twisty, instead of the other ones. Oh well.

Just as a reminder to this group; ride your own ride. Don't feel the need to "keep up". You won't be left behind, nor will you be picked on or teased for being the slower rider. This group is all about riding together and coming home together.

Ok, now I'm thinking my boy and I might just stay over Sat. night and camp on the Outer Banks and tour the Sounds on the way home Sunday. Either way, I enjoy touring the coastal areas.

Alright RD. If you come down on Saturday what route will you take. We will probably meet up with you.

Hi Dave! Hope everything is going good in Hoosier Town. Old Dog has been on OMH. He was with us when Webe took his dive. I hope we did not scare him off then.

Anyone know what size the torx bolts which hold the airbox cover on. Actually what I want is the size of the torx driver I need to remove them, not the thread size of the bolt.

Just a taste of some of the cool stuff from this past weekend.
My 2nd favorite pic with Glenn in it.

Carlos and Glenn

I can't figure out which of the following two pics is my favorite pic of me.

1313's ride

1313's ride 2

My favorite bike from the weekend, at least that is what I think right now (it seems to change quite frequently). From Hank Young's shop.

Fav 2

Fav 3

This one's probably my 2nd favorite bike of the weekend.

V-Rod Chop2it

Lastly this is my 3rd favorite pic of Glenn's XB9S (back to it's original yellow).
