Tripper,
Sorry about the late responce.I rarely look at this page since it dosn't get any posting traffic.
I ride every Sunday, unless it rains. Most of the
BRAG club seem to be fair weather riders, but you can find me and Tom Carter at the same meet location.Lately we have been meeting at 10:00.
When Bob sends out the BRAG ride flier,we will
resume meeting at 9:00.(I'll post that info here)

Thanx Mike, look forward to meeting you. My personal wimp limit is above 50 degrees, since all I have is heated grips.

Jose and I are planning to be at the Cycle World Show Saturday noonish. Looks like we will be taking cars if the snow forecast holds.

Hey Tripper,
Just thought I would poke my head in here and see how you were adjusting.

This is (from what I can tell) the tenth post since JUNE???????

So how's the house and Fam?

Did you actually get snow? I thought you had finally given all that up.

Are you preparing any tours for us? you know MOBbers and SLOBbers have been known to travel a little.......

We are currently trying to put a group trip to go see Nallins place together....that should be a real eye-opener! I'm not sure we can fit that many parts in the van....let alone that much cash! (that gives me an idea....disregard this message if the KC board gets quiet after the road trip). Well I guess I will click my heels and return from whence I came....best of luck to ya bro and don't be a stranger.

Hey Sam; The house is great, lots of room so come on down and bring your friends, Slobs or Mobs. Weather is mild, but below my 50 degree wimp limit right now. Went to the IMS show and the wife was pimping me about not teaching her to ride. Geeeezz, OK, sit on this Ducati. Oh it's too tall? Too heavy? Here, sit on this wierd Black Buell. Nice? Interest rate is 0.9% so that's almost as good as a coupon! Oh yeah, the power is real modest. What? The sticker says 92HP? Yeah but it is applied real smooth, not like that silly Suzuki 500E the dealers been pushing. Try the clutch to be sure it's not too stiff. No, not the foot, the left hand... thumbs up eh. Well maybe we can get one if you promise I can borrow it. I don't CARE that I look ridiculous, I don't have to look at me.

If my house in KC sells watch for news.

Tripper,

so did you..er I mean yer wife, get a new toy?

By the way I just poked my head in here to look around....love whatcha done with the place.
nice and quiet.

Has the weather down there hit the boiling point yet(50 deg). Tell me you're not waiting 'til july to ride again!

Everybody is doing well here, actually have about ten people showing up for Thurs night dinners......pretty cool.

The weather here is COLD! in the twenties and thirties, so I've only gotten about 300 miles in this week.....but it's only Wed.

Take it easy!

Hi Sam; These guys don't talk on the internet because we can always ride down here. It's muggy and 65 today. They are passionate about they're bikes, check out Buellish profile next time he posts. I drove the Buell into Downtown Atlanta to visit JMartz and the Buell is almost a meal ticket. People will feed you and pour beer in ya just to talk about bikes and won't take your money. It's Bike heaven, you'd love it.

Job is rocky and I'm fighting to get my boss fired. How's that for a failed strategy? If I show up at The Other Place it means we have retreated to KC. Any way I should be able to meet the MOBbers and the SLABbers at Deals Gap this summer. My rebuilt exposed spring shock has puked after 3k miles (28k total) so I fear it is done. Last gasp is to accept Buells recall and get the dreaded can shock. Hey, tell the gang howdy, I gotta run.
DaveT

ps: my wheelies continue to improve but I still don't shift in the air. second gear needs to be longer or i need to find the ever elusive balance point.

Took my bike up to Gainsville for a ride in the mountains. It was going on two years since I last ventured north. A combination of weekend house projects and mechanical troubles had conspired to deny me the pleasures of the mountainous north. I chose to trail the distance to my friend's house on Lake Lanier as the 120 miles round trip between our homes tends to wear me and the bike out, more so the bike...

Well to make a long story short, the darn thing quit at TWO requiring me to endure the embarassment of having to get push started and further perpetuating the myth of how poorly performing and undurable this brand is.

Mine was the only Buell there. For once in my life, was I glad I had a trailer.

Jose,
When were you there?I went to TWO Sunday and met a guy from Athens on a white Firebolt with no emblems on it anywhere. It was real clean.
GT,the owner of TWO told me that his year long effort to get Buell to bring the demo truck to North Georgia, finially paid off. They will be there April 26th and 27th.But there is a major
bicycle rally in the area on the 26th,so the day to go would be Sunday the 27th.
I would really like to see a BRAG/Buell rider presence there on Sunday.

Hope you are feeling Ok since your "procedure". I was up there around the noon hour to perhaps 1:30 PM. Didn't see another Buell anywhere. Rode with some guys on GPZ500 in-line 4's, 2 cycle from yesteryear.

Cant wait to go again with the BRAG group.

I just got a call from Bob,who said that fortunately or unfortunately,it depends on
your outlook.Because of the bicycle event on
the 26th and the road closure, the demo ride
has been cancelled and rescheduled in October.
The first BRAG ride of the season is Sunday
April 6th,9 AM at the above meet location.
Please be gassed and ready to go.
