Hey Ctyxrnr-
No they weren't helping me move...my company hired Mayflower to fully pack and move me. That was nice. But get this, when the truck showed up on Saturday, the driver could not find any local help to show up and unload the truck! (Holiday weekend, and all)
So I had the truck driver give me and one of my new co-workers $25 per hour to unload my own furniture. Thought that was a pretty good deal, but my back doesn't think so today.

Tripper - Nice to hear from you. I was beginning to wonder about you!

New Erik - You will be spoiled with all the Buell riders in KC! Enjoy the hooliganism.

So far I have not seen any Buells down here, except the ones at the dealership (Route 66 HD/Buell). There are a lot of Harleys and Choppers running around, though.

Hey Lee, I have trips to Amsterdam and Xiamen this fall. I'll probably bootleg the maps from my reps. Oops, should I have told you that?

You have 2 new product support guys over there that are super.... Joe Sparks and Bub Skillett. Treat em well.

I haven't met Bub Skillett, but Joe seems real nice.

Good luck bootlegging. I have a feeling that you will become very familiar with the phrase "Can't Unlock Maps."

Thanks to all who introduced themselves. I just got back to overland park today and was looking forward to riding, but now it is freakin raining. I guess there is no better time to research the internet for some upgrades to the bike. I do believe that larry should have my info now, so we should all be able to hook up soon. Is there any group rides planned for the near future?

Someone from Baldwin who is planning on riding to the homecoming with someone not from Baldwin had emailed me a few weeks ago. My email client ate it before I could do anything with it. Want to try again?

Erik, Welcome to the board...What are the odds that so many Erik's are coming to KC with Buells? We may have to go with a nickname or numbering system. Looking forward to riding this week, weather channel is saying 20% chance of rain tomorrow evening but if it holds it will stick in the 70's. If the rain can hold I'll see you guys tomorrow night...what time will people start showing up?

Let me know,
Erik

Larry you think you and whoever could be by my place around 5:00? One more thing to move.....five of us moved it yesterday...each recieved a blown sphincter. I am shooting for seven peeps today! and half a blow-out.

by far the heaviest hot-tub ever.....maybe we should've drained it.

I really appreciate it, and thanks again.

Sorry, I have been absent from all this for so long. really busy on my end. Moved into a new place, trips for work, and the Family at home have kept me inundated on my end. I have kept up with my reading here though. hope to see you guys soon.

Welcome to the new guys, don't let anyone fool you guys, white Buells are the fastest.

There will be a biker bash at the new place as soon as I get the goodies all in there place.

White is only faster when it's 1500cc! Everyone else is just trying to stay far enough back that their eardrums don't expload anyway. Ha ha.

Everyone knows that Red and Black is fastest!

New place???? Your not living in the den of inequity anymore? Oh, if walls could talk, the next poor son of a B**** that moves in would end up in prison.

Hottub??? So you think one of those is going to get Marge to start giving you some again?? <------ couldn't resist!

Drop me a line whe you get some free time. Then again you could just wait till the end of July as I will be in need of a good laugh at that point! My little ooompaloompa is starting to drive me nuts!

I checked with Sentry insurance this morning on the bike, and they weren't able to beat State Farm. They quoted me $700 a year and I'm paying $360 a year right now with State Farm for the same coverage. Worth a shot, but I really didn't think they were going to be able to beat State Farm for my bike and age.

Yeah, I'm 25, single and I don't have any kids, so I'm in a pretty high insurance braket for sportbikes. It has went down a lot since I turned 25 and I no longer have any tickets on my record, but it will be a while before it is really cheap. I think $30 a month is pretty fair though.

I'm 36 and married with no tickets or accidents. The thing that makes mine cheap is the fact that I have two cars and a house on the same policy. Oh, and I have had SF insurance for 15 years now.

Eric call up your local State Farm agent and tell him that you want to quote out your car(s), motorcycle and renters/house insurance with them. My car is about the same as it was with Liberty Mutual, my bike is less than half and I'm actually getting an extra (Renters for free plus $5 a month less for my car) back about $5 a month on my car insurance for having renters insurance with them. Best prices that I've found by a long shot.

I was paying about $205 a month for only my car and bike and now I'm paying about $160 a month for my car, bike and $22,000 worth of renters insurance.

My insurance was expiring so I went ahead and gave Sentry a shot. Awesome deal. Just over 600/year. My other company was at that same price point for liability only!

Good call on whoever posted that!

I'm down! Get your camera out and let me know when you want to go. It would be sweet to have some pics to post up in the hundred wheely threads that will be popping up this summer.

Brent, call State Farm while you are at it. I'm a year younger than you are and my insurance is $360 a year for full coverage with State Farm. Here is my agents name and number.

Ed Rowe
(913) 631-3400

Ask him to quote you out on your car and renters/home owners insurance while he is at it because State Farm gives good discounts for multi coverage clients.
