Hey Wes! How ya been? Weather is looking a bit bleak at the moment so I doubt we'll be running tonight. I was looking forward to running the S1 and seeing how it did (it feels like it should do a lot better than I ever did on the S3). I guess I'll just have to wait a couple of weeks. That's not necessarily a bad thing. As she enters expert status as a photographer, an equipment upgrade becomes necessary, just like once you make the jump to expert status a similar upgrade could become necessary. <cough> XB <cough> She's using a regular camera (as in not digital) right? We haven't been able to figure out how to get a decent action picture out of our digital as of yet. I'm thinking that if Heather wants to continue taking pictures, a regular camera may be in our future. | ||

Yes, she has a 35mm slr minolta Also has a nikon digital, but not to the status needed for these action photo's, although she is getting better with that also. She's always liked photography. Hmmmm New camera = New xb??? | ||

Griz, it's most likely not entirely human error for not getting GOOD action shots. You need a camera that's fast, and has a decent ISO sensitivity. A film camera is hard to beat for that. But... A decent Digital SLR is now within reach of mere mortals these days. No, they aren't $300 consumer cameras, but you can now get something like the Olympus Evolt 500 with 2 lenses for less than $700 these days.
