It seems that most (well, at least the ones who've spoken up) have, or are, making plans for that day. Since this is a group effort we can do one of 2 things. The first would be to postpone the meeting until a better date for the majority. The second option would be like one of our early meetings last year - whoever doesn't show gets nominated for Director... I really don't think option 2 is fair, so I need to know what the concensus is: A. Meeting remains on Saturday, May 20th. OR B. More suitable meeting date T.B.D. here on badweb. 1313   Rubberdown Posted on Thursday, May 11, 2006 - 11:04 pm:        Well, no sooner than after I had procured all my stuff for the canoe trip and cleared my Friday afternoon so we could leave early, life smacks us in the face. Trish's Mom had a heart attack this evening. She is hospitalized but it appears she will be o.k.. Trish is flying out tomorrow a.m.. So, Michael goes off on the Scout trip and I stay home looking after the home front. Rebecca has a horse show on Saturday so it does not look like we can ride with ya'll but I might try to ride out to U4's place Sat. night if Rebecca's interested. U4 and Twig, the shop is open and I'll be around to help Friday afternoon. Let me know what the plans are. I still hold one record there 142mph in a 67 firebird with a 427 chevey engine. Rich Yancry with the turbo busa has ran 160 plus. it was with a diffrent rider as he is very tall. At the hot rod shoot out last mo. two guys DROVE a 95 Camaro with 2 turbos 1000 miles one way and ran 199+ and drove it back home!last month a guy rode a depnar side car(russin made) rige from Ont. Can and set a rec. at about 92 mph. This ride will not include the beach as it will be the first big travel weekend and people are crazy by the salt water! Carlos is thinking about Saturday AM and ride through the afternoon with a return trip to our house for a cookout. Anyone wanting to stay can do so. We have 2 tents (can get a third if needed), floor space, sleeping bags and air mattresses. Sunday Carlos can map out a ride that will head west. This will give some more riding time and get you closer to home as well. June Cleaver nor Martha Stewart live here. We have 3 children, 2 Old English Speepdogs and 2 cats. With that being said, anyone that wants to stay is welcome. We will promise good food, good company and cold beer. Just a thought. I know it's soon after the C3 Jr. Ride, but we are booked all the way through June and have a week at the beach in July. I know Carlee is looking for Sabrina and TJ if possible! If there is an interest. I'll post something with more details on the Adventure folder.
