>>>>hermann and STL

That'd be Highway 94. Best bet?....start down around Highway 50 and 19, head through Herrman (stop for seafood along the river if yoiu want) then hit 94 to the North and point youreself toward Washington Airport.

I spent lots if time wringing a Buell out there in 1995 and have some fun shots of a Sportster (being prepped for duty as an 883 series racer)amongst a group of bi-planes at the airport.

Another "just fun" road is Highway 100. I left Hermann one day on a Buell and stopped at each of the gorgeous old churches to snap photos.

I end each day in the area at a Steak and Shake.....old habit from driving to and from The Springfield Mile and Bloomington Gold.

GREAT AREA...and remind me to tell you, in a couple years, how it fits into Buell history.

Paul!!! long time no see or hear!! Hope things are going well for Jenn and yourself! I agree with you! Another trip to the lake would be great! sounds even better considering all the snow that we have had this year! Tell Joe and Mary that Heather and I said Hello and we hope they have gotten all settled in.

What do the rest of you guys think about another trip to the lake area? I'll try to have decent tires this time, well if heather doesn't need another swimsuit that is! :)

I took the S2 for a chilly ride to Dale's HD-Buell in Mt Vernon, IL. I even filled out an entry form or two for the Slay the Dragon II. They 2 or 3 each Lightnings, Firebolts, and Blasts...plenty of V-Rods and other Harley's too. Didn't see anyone else riding or another motorcycle even at the dealership.

A bit brisk and saw lots of geese around the fields. I took some back roads on return and even found a few curves in there around the derricks near Nashville, IL. I hit reserve, rode for another 8 miles or so but was only able to squeeze 4 gallons of fuel in. Must have a healthy reserve on that 5 gallon tank.

Damn I likes the S2.

The forecast here in sunny Jefferson County is calling for the temp
not to fall but into the high 20's overnight and soar into the mid
30's tomorrow with only a "chance" of snow flurries...I may be knuts
but I'm riding...I can actually get a scooter out of the garage and
the drive is completely snow and ice free soooo...Any other takers
either call me at home this evening (636.938.3788) or post it here
and I'll check throughout the evening...I'm thinking the QT at either
1000 or 1100 and a really cruiser type of ride...

We had a nice breakfast group show up at the QT this
morning...Present and accounted for were John Calhoun (did not go to
eat), Amy and Bill, Karin, G-Man and Sadie, Dr J and G-Spot, Jim
Radcliff (he really wasn't there but I forgot to list him for the
tire party sooo this is a makeup) , Mike Weller, myself, and (ta ta!)
the only RIDER, Tim Hall on his GS...Tim has a really, really cool
new lid made by Roof...I've been seeing them for a few years
in "Bike" out of the UK and that's where he bought his...It's flat
black and is said to diffuse laser and radar and increase penis
size...

I'm off the t-clock the beemer...

See Ya!

DAve...I stopped in at Dale's two weeks ago when I was visiting a client in MV and one of the sales reps told me that Surdyke was one of the top ranked Buell dealers in the country...Hmmm...There are a bunch of scooters on the floor...Just for grins (there has been a newbie "Tooslow" asking about purchasing an M2 elsewhere on this board) I asked if they had a new M2 and pricing...Yes and $8,995 out the door...I thanked them...

Glad you were able to ride...This wx is really starting to get to everyone...

See Ya!
