Hey Snail,

I don't know the Island that well, but the place to look on the Net is Destination Highways:
http://www.destinationhighways.com/
They have lots of great info about motorcycling in BC.

Looking forward to riding with you at SPLASH.

Ride on...

LO

Hey there Lo! Glad to hear that you are out there. The hotel planning was nothing. I just hope that everyone gets on the ball and takes care of business! How's the family? Has Don been working on his Buell? Chris got his back together and took it out for a ride the other day, sounds like it is ready to go!

Yes, Littleone there are other Buell riders out there and Lo is by far one of the best. She gets that little Blast of hers leaning around those corners like a champ. As for me I have a Suzuki SV650. Just sold my 1999 Sportster after putting 15,000 miles on it. Miss it alot but wanted to try something different. It will take me some time to get use to the SV but I know that I like it.

Well pray that we get some good weather soon. Lo, Deb and all the other lady riders out there...We need to plan a ladies only weekend ride! When, and where?

Loni

...And Ferris... this will be the first SPLASH that I'll be riding along with you.

can't wait, LO! btw, i just scored a '98 White Lightning in Molten Orange, so if the BLURR is not ready by July (it's iffy), i'll be on...

...are you ready for this?

...ya sure???

The Thong!

ride to lean (and to pull skinny little m/c seats outta your backside!)

Garsh, Loni thanks for pumping up my ego... but you're a helluva rider!! I cannot wait to see you on the SV! You'll be that blur passing on my left!
;)
Family's doing fine. Don hasn't got his bike together yet unfortunately. Hasn't been working on it. Other things seem to crop up and grab the attention. I'm working on him tho... lol!

Kimberlie, how are you?? How's the Speed3? So, I take it you've named her SweetPea? That's cool! Looks like all the ladies will be leaving me behind this season! Oh well save me a seat in the bar!

Littleone, you'll love riding with this group. They are a great bunch of people, on and off the road!

Yes Loni, let's plan an all girls ride. Got a destination in mind? Your backyard or mine, or perhaps someone elses? Any takers? Deciding on an actual date would be good for starters. I have to plan well in advance to accomodate Eva and a sitter.
I'm pumped for it though!

Ferris...
I'm still trying to get that picture outta my head!

Cool score on the Buell! Fingers crossed for the sun, moon and stars to align for this all to happen.

Ride on.

Lo- it is you, you really are out there. Glad to see you post, wow this is the most action this page has had in a long time. As for getting left behind I think you know as well as I do if you can't lean a bike what good is the speed portion? I will be working on the leaning skills and you can work on the speed skills (hee-hee). Yes I named her Sweet Pea and she seems to like it when I call her that. She does seem partial to men though - just like a true woman - so Mike will continue to put his share of miles on her I'm sure. He put a clutch reduction kit on it and it seems to pull in easier - it is so awesome, so smooth and so much fun, I can't wait for nice weather.

Look forward to seeing you guys it is not to far away....

Kimberlie

This message is to "Sportyeric". First off let me say that although I'm not from BC or Vancouver, I have friends and visit there every few years. Which leads me to Eric. Hey dude, i just clicked on your profile and saw a bike I recognised and took photos of the last time I was in Vancouver.
I really like your Green Sportster :-) , Now for the short story.... Back in sept. 2000 I was in vanc for a few weeks and the last day there I was at the downtown Train/Bus station (Pacific...), Anywaaay, I spied with my little eyes across the parking lot by the buses this neat looking Green Sportster. Ahem, well being a tourist with camera in hand- I snapped a few shots of YOUR Bike ! Never thought I'd see it again, but low and behold- Here it is and YOU are the owner. Is that a coincidence or what !? Anyway, thats all I wanted to say- nice Bike.
And to you, Lorraine and all the other BC'ers, you have a really sweet Province. I hope to be back again..... Soon I hope ;-)

Yes there are alot of us lurking here. With the way the weather has been here maybe bike insurance will come early this year. I really feel for the people on the East Coast. Brrrr.

Thanks, Ralph. It's always nice to get the ego stroked, though there are many who say I really don't need it. It is a nice high visibilty location to show off my pride and joy, plus if I'm working around the depot I get to look at all day long.
I'd say come by Buell rather than bus if you come again, but I guess Pennsylvania would be a bit of a long haul,eh?

Kimberlie... you work it girl!!
As for working my speed... it's all in the hands of the Blast gods at the moment. LOL.
Looks like I'll have to do a cam job on it or something. Definitely needs an Attitude Adjustment tho! Maybe next winter's project.
Glad the clutch thang's working for you. Can't wait to see you in action that's for sure.
You'd better buy one of those shirts... you know the one... "Does this bike make my butt look fast?"... chuckle I just love that one.

Bob, every sunny day I get the itch to insure... but the wait will definitely be worth it.
We'll have to do an inpromptu Duffy Lake run soon as it thaws up thataways.

Ralph... you just seem to know or meet everyone don't cha?! If you plan a trip this way, you'd just have to try for a SPLASH run.

Sounds like this year will be phenomenal! God, I better get that front tire soon...

Ride on...

LO

Eric, ahhh- I've been informed about YOUR ego from Lorraine ~LOL~, but I just had to tell ya anyway ;-) Btw Eric, what makes you think I came by Bus !?...... It takes 3 Whole days by Greyhound! ....ahhhhh, how did i know?- Coz YEAH, I did COME BY FREAKIN' BUS ! (I don't Fly, even before 9-11, and the Train costs as much as the Plane and still takes 3 days!) I guess you can say I Come OEM with a Hardtail ! :-o
I may Drive out the next time in my pickem-up truck with my Blastard in back... Oh the roads there are so fine... I have driven them by borrowed auto and by bike as far as Kamloops.
Hey Lo, You guys really do end your sentences with ~eh ? BTW- Lo, keep the Blast Faith, no need to trade-up/in.....EVER ~Eh ;-)

"I guess you can say I Come OEM with a Hardtail!"
ROFL... That is about it isn't?!?
Eric knows you came by bus cuz he Da Man where that stuff is concerned.

As for keeping the Blast Faith...
It's gets very frustrating when you know you can ride the ass outta a corner but the guy in front is slower until the straights where he cranks on the juice with his big ass V-Twin. There ain't a hope in hell Peggy's catching up... til the next corner! LOL
And yeah... I use eh alot. Eh. (see?)
Just ask my other American riding buddies.

Lo, glad you like my OEM equipment :-) I like YOURS too ;-)
As for Peggy on the straighaways, just keep tuned to My Yahoo group as two members just got their Nallinized and Hot cammed Blasts back on the Road. Follow the further adventures of Ed-Z and Jeromius.....
In theory, a Blast can be made almost as fast as a stock 1200c carb. Buell, maybe not as torquey, but as fast on the straights if the rev limiter is altered. BTW, Flattrack 505-550cc Blasts have hit 120 MPH on the Mile Dirttracks !
That oughta whet your appetite :-)

Oh, oh. Is that me with the big ass V-twin that's getting in the way? I better watch my rear views better to keep outta the way, then, eh? (I like throwing all these "eh's" in here for the amusment of our southern friends.)
And what's with Don's bike? Is it still suffering from the spill at Mission track?

Hey Paul!
How are you? You still drinking fancy umbrella'd beverages on some deserted island? ;)

I haven't sat on the XB9s but I tried the M2L and it's still too tall! I'm short, tiny but tough. LOL

I'll just have to talk to Erik Buell and make sure the next bike is designed with short intermediate riders.

Money is a factor anyhow. I'm sure Don wants a new bike before me!

Ralph, I'm watching and listening closely about cam job. Could be in Peggy's future, along with some rearsets... and... well I'm sure to think of something else for the list! LOL

Chuckle... yeah Eric, like you're ever behind me for long.
No Don dumped his bike on SPLASH last year. Still needs the fairing, but I think the trouble he's having now is with the gearing. You know... once you replace all those HD parts with after-market, a Buell runs/rides pretty good, eh?
:D

Lo,
Your here! What are you doing on this board on a Saturday night? I've been back since before Christmas. The job in St Croix sort of imploded. We did drink lots and lots of rum though! I'm just hangin out trying to find some temporary work until my summer job starts in April. I'll be gone the entire summer and will miss ALL the rides. BUMMER! When I get back the latter part of September I'm planning on taking three or four days and coming up your way. I may even go over to Vancouver Island. Your gonna have to have a drink for me at Border Raid! First time in three years I missed it. Take care....

Eh ? Lo, Don dumped his bike on SPLASH last year? Oh no, did he get all wet *heh-heh*. Pardon my stupidity, but what Is a SPLASH Event ? I'm sure I can find it on Your site or even in the Fuell Mag, I just wanted to hear about it without looking. I'm getting lazy in my old age ;-)
And Oh ~Lo, thinkin CAMS are ya ? Ooooh, yer gonna get serious about kicking some major Japbike @ss !? You're on the right track, all power starts with higher Compression and Cams(of course Flowed heads go hand in hand), and Big bore Kits don't hurt either.... oh so many choices and so little money :-(
