Bon-
I can think of at least 30 Buell riders in the KC metro alone! We have a fairly strong group that likes to get together and ride. Look us up sometime. (I, however, just moved to Oklahoma, so I won't be there unless I am back visiting.)

Anybody here from Noel, Missouri? I received a ticket there Friday night (last night) The fat lady cop pulled us over and said we were clocked at 61 in a 35 (The 35 m.p.h. was a corner speed indicator) I asked her if it WAS a corner speed indicator she told me, No, I checked. I went back and did check (saw her comin' from that direction) went and checked and it WAS a corner speed indicator, and the actual speed limit was 45. When I got back to my friends, the leaders, she was there and gave my "accomplice" a corrected ticket for the 45 and apologized for the mistake, she said they changed it on me. NO, you lied about it. ANyway, I need to talk to the Prosecuting attorney so was hoping somebody knows her to help me out.

those are corner speed advisories (the yellow signs) not speed limits. speed limits have to be on rectangular white signs with black letters.

I'm sure a LEO here on the board can back me up on this.

It's a caution sign to give you an idea of how dramatic the turn is. Assuming it was a yellow diamond sign.

Did you take pics of the curve and the sign?

Let's see Missouri drivers guide: http://www.dor.mo.gov/mvdl/drivers/dlguide/dlguide.pdf

pg.33 regulatory signs are either Black, or white. Yellow is a warning, not a regulation.

pg. 34 A diamond shape is a warning, a vertical rectangle is regulatory

pg 36 covers the speed restriction signs.
"curve and turn signs may also have an advisory speed plate that shows the recommended speed for the curve or turn. Although you may feel comfortable driving at a higher speed in fair weather, you should never do so in rain, snow, or icy conditions."

I think that's pretty clear. It's a recommendation, not a regulation. The DA/judge will throw it out if you show documentation. A pic will help.
