This is interesting. The Canadian Riders board revived by one of our American friends. Thanks Bob! Obviously we have a few lurkers and not so many posters. I have 2 Christmas parties on the 14th so it may be painful but I'm still going to the IMS on the morning of the 15th. Bib

My first impulse is,"Why the hell travel 3 hours to go to IMS when ours is pretty much the same and coming soon." Then the brain kicked into gear and I thought,"Yeah! Spend a day in November surrounded by motorcycles and motorcyclists, and especially the Yankee gang. Sounds great!" Bummer I can't spare the time or money. Have fun. Harve, you should twist Jim's arm. |

That's a hellava good question Eric. I suppose if I can control myself somewhat the night before, I could be ready to go around 8:30AM which would hopefully get us into Seattle around 10:30-11:00AM or so. Where to meet is the next question. I'm in Cloverdale and very close to the 176th Street Truck Crossing. We could meet for breakfast at De Dutch Pannekoek House at #200 5630 176th Street. A hangover breakfast if there ever was one! How does that sound? Harv |

Last time I had to pick a meeting place in that neighbourhood, it was to link up with Frank and Stephanie, and another couple, coming up from Oregon. I suggested the Tudor Inn, having forgotten the entertainment offered there. I got a bit of grief about that! Pancakes sounds fine. The time is early for me, I'm not in any hurry, but it's also OK, I'm always flexible. My work hours jerk me all over the day so I have no built in diurnal rhythym. Not to mention the fact that you're offering the ride.We don't want to arrive so early that the beer gardens aren't open, though. |

Heather, SPLASH really is a marvelous, unforgettable deal, with lots of warm, friendly folks from both our great countries in attendance. plus, you could ride down and back with Stu and the gang from Deeley's??? this year, for the first time, there will be several "groups within the group", allowing EVERYone to ride around the volcano at the pace that most suits their personal comfort and sight-seeing level. off the top of my head, i can think of at least 10 or so women (maybe more?) who'll be doing SPLASH, most of them piloting their own machines, and it sure would be great to have you join us. best, FB |

I've heard that us canadians will now need a passport to cross the border. Two pieces of I.D. will no longer cut it. Fact or Fiction? Anyone know for sure? Bob |
