How does one become a member? Are we members automatically for being in BRAG? Or is that really wishful thinking?

Wishful thinking. Membership is not required, but it gets you a discount, frequent E-mails, and a t-shirt if I'm not mistaken.

If you do a bunch of days out there, membership would save you $$$ for sure. For the few I do, I don't think so...

Snip3r:
You'll need full leathers for the track. If you don't have them, they do rent them out there. And sometimes you can even get them for free. I've got a CityX as well, and it just takes some practice getting that front wheel off the ground. Plenty of throttle and let the clutch out and it will come up. If it's not, you need more gas or to let the clutch out faster. But keep in mind. You are much more likely to dump your new ride trying to do things like this. Do it too often and it will happen. Anyway I hope to see you next Saturday and and the track on the 19th.

Just to be clear on the meeting spot for the ride, is it the Mobile on Southern and Signal Butte? It's seems to be the only one out there, and there were a bunch of Harleys meeting there today, but I want to be sure. I'd hate to miss the ride.

P.S. the 60 is all f'd up w/ construction if you're coming from the west.

just got off the phone with ted rich from aztrackday and he said if we get 5 or more riders together, we will get $20 off the full day or $10 off a half day.if your interested email me at abroughton@ridenow.com with your name so i can forward a complete list to ted. once he has the list you can call and preregister as you normally would.when he bills everyone out you will get the discount.remember this is only good if you prereg by midnight the monday before, so lets get the list together asap.
p.s let get out there and show them just how good our bikes/riders are.if they won't give buell the respect it deserves we'll just have to take it in the corners.

damnit... I've sat here for about 30 minutes trying to figure out a way to go but I need ~$300 in tires/mounting and I KNOW I'm going to spend too much money in Florida this weekend...

Damn... When's the next one? Sorry... I MIGHT be able to do it if I can keep my spending under control (which isn't likely...) but I won't be able to pre-register. I get paid the Friday before the trackday. Do you know if anyone could have a set of 180/55-17 and 12/70-17 Metz M3's at the track? I could register for the late session and ride down early and get the tires swapped while I'm there (If anyone has stands that is...). Are there even tire guys at track-days? Of course, this is all predicated upon whether or not I get my throttle and return cables from Dave this weekend AND I can find time to swap them out AND get my TPS reset by then.... Yeah... 20K miles and I finally need a TPS reset...

Well we really shouldn't ride to Show Low. It'll be cold and snowing when we get there. Not exactly riding weather. Maybe we could just do a short ride. Tortilla flats or something?

A little something to get the blood pumping again for TRACKDAY ON THE 19TH!
As far as Saturday goes I'm with anything it'll be good to be in the saddle again P/U bike tonight. We should meet earlier for the flats though. it can be a bitch getting around boaters and the fuzz later than 8. 7-730 is a little better as it allows us to get in before the traffic.
After the ride all are welcome to stop by my house for some Daytona FX action starts at about 10:30 brews and BBQ FOR ALL.

Well it looks like we got a little of the white stuff! I was about 30 up the 87 when I rann into a winter ghetto land cars lined up both sides of the freeway snow all over the road. All in all it was pretty damn chilly. I did find out that the 1250 kit was definitley worth the dough I dumped into it.

just letting everybody know that on april 6th we(arizona desert thunderbikers) will be hosting our first official BRAG ride.its open to anybody who wants to go regardless of whether you a club member or even a buell owner.we are still trying to get conformation on whether eric buell or john (ceo) are going to make it but that is the plan. either way it should be a great time. so if you can make it that would be great, it would be nice to have a good showing for the factory.the ride will be approx 325miles,it will leave from chandler harley/buell at 9 am we'll then ride to show low and then loop over the 260 to the 87 back. breakfast will be provided at the shop and lunch in show low. also the first 25 people to preregister will get a free pass into bike week that night.you can register at ThunderAZ@msn.com please if you plan on going please register so we know how many are going.if you have any questions you can email jeremy at the above address or call me at 602-750-9303 or email at abroughton@ridenow.com

Bart: It was the Revolution 1250 it came with the nikasil coated cylinders black powder coated outer. CP pistons bumped the compression from 9.8 to 10 to 1 with stage 1 heads, didnt want to screw with the heads to much they flow pretty well as it is.
Yes it was pretty chilly I wore my moto style gloves that let all the air in. Bike sure does run good in 30 degree air.

Well I've requested that thursday off, so hopefully I get it. If not I've got another someone who will trade with me, but then I have to work his overnight shift that sat. Either way I'm there!
