Next BRAG meeting is 14th. We probably won't have Thursday meetings because it's Rick's day off (unless we meet at an alternate location). I have some other ideas for meetings that we'll bring up at the next meeting.

Supposed to be lots of Packer tickets to this weekend's game available at list price or better according to last night's news report. Still costs a bunch when you factor in travel and parking and food and such. But still I'd like to go to at least one game sometime while I'm still residing in this state. Maybe next year....

Jerry,
What are you doing on Saturday? If I win an e-bay auction I may be running to Milwaukee to pick up the item. If not I might still run down your way to retrieve the rack (unless you've already got a 5,000 gallon aquarium sitting on it). ;)
Also want to bounce around a few ideas about your 1,000 mile pedaling goal for the year.

Hey Mike,

How about personal delivery? We are actually heading up to Oshkosh Saturday morning, and I like to take hwy 45 sometimes anyway. Since I could theoretically do hwy 41 with my eyes closed.
Oh wait, are you in the new place yet?.

5,000 gallon tank?......think......bigger.

I already have ~375 miles planned. At least with rides I normally due throughout the spring and into the fall. The best ride is the Leukemia and Lymphoma "Lakeshore 150". A great ride for an even greater cause. Mequon to Sturgeon Bay in two days along the shores of Lake Michigan with great food and good people.

I'm always up for something new so bounce away.

Me and a friend here at work bike in the summer, we tried to do at least 20 miles each time we went out. So Blastin and Mike, I'd like to get in on that goal !! I KNOW we can do a 1,000 over the year!!!

Jerry,
Either Jackson right off I-45/hwy-60, or Thiensville not quite right off hwy-43. Pick the place and time. There's a McDonalds in Jackson just right of the northbound offramp of I-45. Give me a time and I'll be there. (Why do I get this feeling that your new basemant is about the become deliberately flooded...) :)

CJM,
Just start putting down your pedal mileage after your name everytime you post. Something like: ( o-o 0-miles ) where the o-o is my feeble attempt at a bicycle emoticon. Last year or so I started a weight loss race thread, but I think I lost since I'm back where I started way back then, so this year I don't think I'll do that. Instead I think I'll just go ride and record as I go. And I still want to try some track racing down at the Kenosha velodrome, maybe this year, or next, depending on class scheduling and other committments. ;)

OK, when weather is permitting I'll put down my mileage as I go !!! Sounds fun, and unlike weight that you could gain back, you'll always keep your mileage !! o^o Well my emoticon isn't any better, it needs handlebars ??

CJ,

There is a trail(trail and city streets) that goes around Milwaukee county called the Oak Leaf Trail, it's also called the "76". It goes 76 miles around the county and takes you through just about every city in the county.(River Hills is alway interesting) We usually stop at the lake for some refreshment because it's roughly half way for us. Your more than welcome to join us. At a reasonable pace, it usually takes us about 5 hours, including stops and street crossings.

MikeJ,

The McDonalds in Jackson will be fine, I'm guessing somewhere between 8 to 10 a.m.. I'll talk to the boss and give you a more accurate time.

Blastin, sounds good count me in !! Me and my friend have gone over just about every mile of the Oak Leaf trail (it's our favorite), but in 20 mile increments, so doing all 76 at once sounds challenging, cool !!

Dangerous question.
Answer: Yes.
Translation: 5.5 bicycles of various configurations, the .5 is a unicycle but it stays at home because I can't ride it yet. Let's see, two road bikes, a fixed gear track bike, a MTB, and an old mid-60's Schwinn cruiser. Hmmm, thinking of it I think the Schwinn's called a Cyclone just like the Buell, I'd better stop and see to make sure tonight, got it hanging from a rafter elsewhere.

Speaking of which I think it's time to get out the MTB with the studded snow tires and go check out the new neighborhood. People look at you real funny when you bicycle on the snowy roads.

MikeJ (With that many bicycles you'd think I'd weigh less.) ;)

Mike...I used to spend a lot of time mtn biking. I'd use fatter tires with low air pressure and ride the groomed cross country ski trails. It would freak out the old folks out for a Sunday "ski" when some guy comes flying past them on a mtn bike :D I tried ice riding once on a pair of studded tires. It definitely takes some practice to keep from slipping too much. Lots o' fun though!

After I bought the Buell, the bike has seen less & less use every year. I almost feel bad for it (yeah, right)

I ride a moutain bike with slicks for the street and change the tires to knobbies for some trails and for off-road.

I woke up at 2:30 a.m. this morning and then could'nt fall asleep. So I turned on the tube and CHiPs was on. This particular show gave me an interesting idea that I'll share at the next meeting. Some may laugh but I thinks it would be fun to try and do.:)

So here's the question of the day. Who did you want to be(if your of the right age) on CHiPs? Ponch or John? (or John's nephew-or was it his brother-Bruce(I think)?

I'll start off. I wanted to be John. Even though he didn't get all the ladies, he was the smarter of the two.
