Is anyone purchasing Fanzone tickets or is that part of the in-field ticket. I just found out I'll be arriving on the 11th via Autotrain. I imagine I will be in Daytona 'round 10-11. I definitely want to find out where to meet everyone. | |||

Man I picked a bad weekend to get married. Nascar here in Vegas (all hotels full or prices at 500% above normal) and the 200 in Daytona (where I'd rather be). I'd visit if I could Nick but I seem to have prior commitments :P. | |||

This Saturday morning at 7:00 AM, I'll be firing up the Uly and heading south. It's going to be cold for the first 400 miles or so. If I can make the mileage I'm hoping to, I'll be in Deland by Sunday evening. GO BUELL!!! | |||

They are black t-shirts with the BUELL RACING logo on the front and the BUELL AMERICAN MOTORCYCLE - East Troy, WI USA on the back. I had 200 sent ahead of me and I'll be handing them out in Daytona. The only gig is that you must promise to wear the shirt to the the races on Saturday. That help? | |||

Sorry it's been a while with an update.. just means I've been running my tail off! ~LOL~ We have a double size charcoal grill. It has the little rack for sausages and stuff you don't want right on a fire. If you all think it'd be a good idea, I'll talk to Nick's boss about bringing the gas grill out here, too. So how many of ya are coming to stay at the house? I'm just curious. Nick is getting better every day. We have a physical therapist coming out in the morning to evaluate him and I've already ordered a wheelchair to be delivered tomorrow. He'll at least be sitting up tomorrow (in his turtle shell) for awhile and we'll see if we can get him transferred to a chair. If he can do that and I can get the wheelchair through my bedroom door, things will be a lot different for Nick while you all are here. It'll give him some privacy, so you all won't have to be chased out into the backyard! ~L~ Here are some things I do have: Styrofoam cups. napkins. garbage bags. plastic silverware. plastic glasses (they are disposable and reusable)I have 2 coffee pots. several large plastic bowls for...food. plastic plates and bowls for putting meat on, or sliced cheese, tomatoes and so on(I'm not sure how many, but enough to start with.) I have two kinds of coffee and I have tea for hot tea. I believe that Pepsi is still being delivered along with ice, from Nick's work. Hhhmmm... I can't think of anything else right now.. I'm sure there is something... if I have the time, when some of you get here, I'll still make a big potato salad. What else? We sure are excited about everyone getting here! It was great meeting midwayav8r and his friends today! Nick really enjoyed the visit. It looks like these guys are going to beat everyone to the punch on getting the cement around the pool done. ~laughs~ I bet you all are just heart broken! Don't worry... I do still have at least a handful of "Honey-do's". I hope someone is handy with figuring out why my crushed ice isn't coming out of my fridge. It started pulling that last night. ~rme~ I haven't had time to get any painting done, so I don't know if my bedroom door will be ready to hang. Sooo... please know that all of my cats are inside cats. They are allowed out on the back porch, even the pool area, as long as the outdoor doors are closed. The cage door/screen door on the front has to be pulled until it clicks, then it's secure. I doubt you all will see much of my cats. Only a couple of them are social. As for the puppy, Elwood.. he's a hoot, but..when you first meet him he will bark, growl and bristle. Don't offer your hand right away, please. I am not saying that he bites, but I can't guarantee he won't either and he's big enough to put a hurtin' on someone. He's just extra protective over Nick right now, but he's a good pup. Did I mention that I have 5 cats? ha-ha! Just in case you are allergic...bring your pills or take your shot. Seriously, I don't want anyone to suffer allergies. I think that's everything for now. When did Blake arrive? Seriously. . . don't fret yourself over the details. You'll find out when this group gathers, stuff begins to assume a life of it's own. . . everything gets cooked, painted and done. I took Chauly (I call him Chuck) to task over the "what kinda BBQ you have?" question. . . sounds like we may be in for a treat Friday night. He's as good a gourmet cook as he is motorcycle rider. Tell me more about this wheelchair you are geting for Nick. I'm thinking shirts would make great prizes in the "Nick Races". Just for reference, what is the fastest time Nick has been pushed around the block thus far? Is there a provision on this chair to A) Attach to a bike B) prevent high speed wobble on the small front wheels? Daytona . . . JUST LIKE IT WAS MEANT TO BE! Thanks Buell! | |||
