I can't get that darn link to work. My machine is blocking all the pop up windows, and even if I turn the darn blockers off, it still won't come up. Can anyone send me a link to the actual pics page for the adventure so that I don't need to go to the Buell site and try the pop up window again?

How many of you would be interested in going for a nice ride and then having a BBQ at my place in Nokesville/Manassas area in the Spring time frame?

I can't make the Daytona trip. Wish I could. As soon as I get the bike into and back out of the paint booth, I'll be ready to ride!!

Hey Rasmonis.. Welcome to the BadWeb..

Frederick is supposed to have a BRAG Chapter, I'm one of the 'core' members.. Unfortunately we haven't heard much from the dealer and they seemed to insist on running it themselves.

But, even if they don't get their chapter up again.. the rest of us can form our own.. so to speak.

As for Daytona.. way too late to think of making that trip. Although I really have to see the 200.. Hmmm.. Who has the biggest, bestest TV? Maybe we can make it a Buelligan gathering?

I may have to work at Cape Canaveral that week. If so I plan on taking my bike on the Autotrain and hopefully make it to Daytona. If not, I'd like to make a trip to the homecoming. Let's get something going!

And not to try to steal you from the Frederick guys, you are also more than welcome to come on down to Ft Washington to the DC Brag group until Frederick can get their group back together. We meet the 1st Saturday of every month at the dealership.

And welcome to being a new Buell owner!!

In all honesty, the Frederick dealership did not impress me, even with their new building, that's why I bought my bike at Battlefield HD.

I don't care who I ride with as long as we have fun doing so. I love my bike, I can't say enough good things about it so far...

I've thought about starting a group in Frederick if I did not hear from the HD folks by spring. I guess you've solved that mystery for me.

Anyone in the area is welcome to contact me.

There are plenty of good roads up in Frederick county, I only know a few, I've been bikeless for 3-4 years. I plan on exploring the Cunningham Falls State Park as soon as it is warm enough to get out again. I hear there a good roads up there.

Does anyone know a good route to Ft. Washington that does not include 270 or 495? I am definitely interested and looking forward to meeting other Buell Riders.

On another front.. I spoke with the NEW Manager over at Whitts, in Manassas. He said if 'WE' could find people to occupy all the 'required' officer positions, he'd 'sponsor' a BRAG chapter out of his shop..

So, if Frederick is going to drop the ball, do we want to take it over to Whitts? Or there is always a shot at Groves (although that's a bit farther out from some of us.. so far)..

What say folks? I'm sure Jose and Co. would help us get our ducks in a row for a 'local' Virginia effort..

Does anyone know a good route to Ft. Washington that does not include 270 or 495?

Find Beach Drive down near Rockville, then head straight down through georgetown, the Kenedy Center, then independence avenue east to 395 east to 295 south to 210 south right on Livingston Road to Ft Washington HD/B.

Jose,

Thanks for the directions, I'll try to map it out. I'd like to make it to the BBQ if the invitation is open.

Twintour,

Let me know when you want to get together, Brewer's Alley in downtown Frederick is a good place.

Hey, just curious.. How many of us are heading up to the BRAG/Buell Team Pro-Motion Track Day?

Even though I'll be riding there, I'll also have my camera with me, with a little help, maybe I can get some shots of everyone (complete with their 'handles') and we can tell a little story for the rest of the BadWeb...

Hey all, and welcome rasmonus. Sorry to hear you did'nt care for frederick. I bought both of my buells from Frederick, they have treated me very well. Battlefield is good for clothing sales, and pit beef, its a good ride too spot. I have been riding Frederick cty roads for years, live near the park you mention. Hopefully Frederick will continue its bragg group. Steve, ( general manager) and Joe, sales/ service rep, as well as a few others are interested in keeping it alive. I have had a few service problems there ( Frederick ) but you can't beat thier customer service. I had the use of a Street rod for 2 and 1/2 weeks while they waited on a part for my XB back in the fall. Well, look forward to warmer weather and group rides...

APRIL 9th is the date of the BRAG/Buell (sorta) track day. It's in conjunction with a 'standard' day of theirs.

See this thread http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/171393.html?1139638008

I'll be going up (trailering to save tires) on Friday afternoon (the 7th) doing ART Basic on the 8th with Chiefiron and whomever else is there for it. Then on Sunday, it looks like Edison Buell will be rolling out the welcome wagon for us. Contact XBCrazy for information on that as it's his deal (thanks again Pete).

Reply,

It just so happens that I spoke with Steve yesterday about getting the Frederick Bragg group back up and running for this season, I will be by this weekend to get more information.

Perhaps I should clarify my dissatisfaction with HD of Frederick. The folks there are good people, they have a good parts department and the technicians I've spoken to are quality folks.

My issue primarily stems from dealing with a sales person who I believe was dishonest about pricing and inflated services charges. They were unwilling to negotiate even though I gave them plenty of opportunities to make the sale. I wanted to support my local dealer and ended up buying out of state at a significant discount.

Whaaa - right? - Whatever, I have the bike I wanted. So now I want to get local Buellers together for good rides & good times, it is all about riding after all.

With all that said - as I get more information on the Frederick Brag Chapter I will post it for those interested.

If you are interested in the Frederick Brag Chapter or want to plan a few rides in the Frederick and surrounding area pm me with your contact information.

As stated above... When Blain and Jay left.. well the Buell fire seemed to go out of their sales team. I guess they didn't like the idea of getting all those smaller profit bikes to roll around. Sometimes I still think there are too many of them (sales folks) that would prefer you NOT buy what you want.. But pay whatever they think you should.. for their wallet enhancement program. But that's another rant about commission sales and the way it treats the sales slug..

OK, rant off.. I'm still part of the Frederick BRAG chapter.. at least I hope so, I mean I was in the picture ... Of course, I've also been seen with folks from Ft. Washington (Jose claims me as an 'unofficial' member of his chapter)..
