Bill, KCIR closed a few months back the only way it would stay open as a drag strip is if someone in the family purchased it, know one in the family wanted to continue with it, so it closed. It went up for sale and I guess KCMO bought it.
I know the housing developments in the area are happy, they were pushing hard to have it closed due to noise levels, that drag strip was there long before those houses were. I hate to see it go.

Homecoming Plans

For anyone interested in going to homecoming I booked a room in East Troy at the Comfort Inn & Suites for Thursday night. Then the remainder of the weekend is booked at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Appleton. (The Unofficial Host Hotel)

I'm also thinking I will try and go to Reg Pridmore's "CLASS" riding school on Monday and Tuesday following the weekends races.

ROAD HAZARD WARNING
Hwy 5 from I 435 over to Leavenworth had the ditches cleaned and the workers left alot of gravel, mud and crud on the pavement, some of it right in good twistys. Since alot of local riders run that section of road, pass the word to be damn careful
