The food was great(not including the order of okra that made it to my table)the company even better than the food. Thanks to all that had a hand in setting this up. Special thanks to Kevin,Angela,Blake and RPMChris for the shuttle vehicles. A REALLY special thanks to Kevin for taking me to Kroger's so I could stock up on Diet Pepsi. Today has gone much better with a cold Diet Pepsi in my laptop briefcase! Diet Coke and iced tea just don't cut it. I meant every word I said last night. What a cool company that a bunch of top level people including the founder and president would just come hang out with a bunch of their riders. There is no other motorcycle company cooler than Buell and the people that work there. I also meant it when I said it was all Greg's fault. If he hadn't signed up my former dealer as a Buell dealer back in 99 I would've never met any of the rest of you. I owe him much and it is good to have him back at Buell. I talked to all the Buell people that were there last night today and they all had a great time. Has anyone else ever even met an executive, say just 1 of the top 3 folks, who craft the future of the motorcycle they ride? This, dear friends, is not unique among motorcycles....it's unique among anything. I have to tell you, I've seen and met a lot of people in the world of Buell. I met Jon Flickinger at Homecoming last year. He is as sincere as he is smart. In a day when carefully worded answers have become a skill and "no comment" a common answer, Flick seeks out owners to visit with and to listen. The keen eye will see past carbon fiber and go-fast parts to see the value such a leader brings. In all candor, he got my vote when he opted out of the 2nd night of events at Homecoming to make a family commitment. Great values tend to manifest themselves in all areas of a persons life. Imagine . . Flick, DaveS, Erik, Blake and a couple dozen Buell owners. Powerful stuff. I would have announced that during dinner, but was afraid the ensuing rush on the bar would lead to nakedness, dancing in the streets, the inevitable "hey, hold my beer and watch this" kind of activity. Better safe than sorry with so many free spirited hooligans gathered in one place. Great staff, great service, great folks, great bikes, great time! Thanks Chris for MC'ing the evening. Thanks to Cameron for acting as bouncer. Just hearing him talk about his lust for violence kept me in line. The man is a killer I tell ya. Thanks Keith and Karsten and Ralph for helping out. Thanks to Ilianna (sp?) and Dago for looking so darn great and for braving dinner at the same table as me. That kiddo of yours is guaranteed to grow up to be a real heartbreaker! Thanks to the dreaded Ortega Kid. I'll be hastily hopping up the old Cyclone and getting her in fine tune so I can have a chance to keep from being lapped at my home track. Was great to meet you Derek and also your gorgeous daughter wife. Everywhere I looked, there were babes, Angela, Ilianna, Ortega Babe, and the really cute young lady whose name stupid me has failed to recall. Y'all really brought a strong measure of class to the joint. Thanks to all the Buell factory guys, Dan, Greg, Steve, John, Erik and associates. it really means a lot to have you take the time to rub elbows with a bunch of us Buell riding maniacs. Thanks to Buell Motorcycle Company for building and announcing the wicked cool XBRR racing machine and thanks to Erik, Steve for taking time to share some time talking about it. It may not be quite as big in '07 (the winter HD dealers meeting will be in Orlando), but we can and will still get together for BBQ and beer. It's kinda neat to party again a couple of weeks after the holidays end... I also feel you can count on the '08 event being even bigger, since (rumor has it) the dealers meeting - and Erik Buell - will be back in Dallas once again! We'll be celebrating two years of XBRR dominance, no doubt! I am not with out bike though.... I added Kawasaki Z1000 to the stable. I hope you guys continue to let me ride with you. Maybe me and Kelly can hang out in the back and watch you guys play around. Btw, if your wondering what the Z1000 is I have included a link to a picture. http://www.psndealer.com/powersportsdlr/images/NewVehicles/2003_3z1000bp.jpg The best way to describe the bike is an XB on Crack! The bike is flickable and fast (128hp / 75ftlbs) with the looks to match. I can't wait to try her out in the twisty's. I think I am going to watch the Buell XBRR project for a couple of years and the if they actually produce a race replica, I most definately will pick that one up. So please don't drop me off the mail list and I can still bring the camera to the functions and try to blend hehehehe! So funny, I did the pre ride and dealer sales brochure ride for that bike!!(look in the pix, I'm the one in the light levi's), I told them back then what a fun piece it was,way before I ever thought of being a Buell owner!
