Everything is going great. Now we just gotta get the lil guy home. I guess he is gonna be up there about 2 weeks. They are giving him some medicine & monitoring for apnea..I probably murdered that word. Its basically when babies actually forget to breathe for a lil while. Its nothing major with him, the monitor picks up these little signals that it happened a couple times & lasted for maybe 5-10 seconds, but the Dr just wants to keep an eye on him to make sure.

When they say around the clock care & a nurse at the babies side at all times, they mean it. A nurse is never more than 4-5 ft away at anytime. They have several areas there. The ones in really bad shape are in the intensive care area, then you have the stepdown area which is where the lil guy is & they have one more level which he is supposed to be moved to in the next day or 2. Its kinda like graduation.

I realize a lot of people here probably know this, or simply dont care, thats fine, but I am so proud to be a grandpa & I really dont care what anyone thinks right now:)

No need, Bomber. Fortunately I got something else in my head before I left. You have been absolved of any wrongdoings as it relates to Beatles songs.

Hey Dyna...

The scoot is really taking shape. Like the tank and bar selection. I smell "Ghost Flames" in your future. LOL

Like the pics of the machinery. Next time you run the really thick stuff in black, sneak enough home so we can make some provocative outfits for Char and CJ to wear at the next group function.

Take care and keep the new kid happy!!!

Don I shall return your bike stands at the meeting that you so generously borrowed me.I used them one more time for getting the scoot ready for hybernation.Liked them so much that I ordered my own still waiting for them.Do you keep your scoot on them during the winter months?I was just out at the Grove getting race gas 110 octane the bike seems to treat me nicer for it.It better $22.50 to fill my tank. Whoah Dana! That's a lot of $$ just to put it away for the winter. I always figured the gas would go bad over the long winter months.

Anyway, glad the stands worked out for you. I probably won't put the Lightningbolt on them during storage, though. The bike gets moved around a bit during the winter.

See ya'll tomorrow!

I always thought that was the beauty of putting in race gas - it should still be good come spring. Don't know for sure, would love to hear from someone with experience on the topic. My understanding, and please anyone with actual knowledge let me know, was that when gas 'breaks down' during storage, it's actually the octane level dropping. I've heard roughly 1-2 octane points per month as a rule of thumb and since race gas is higher octane (among other things), it can lose a few points and still be fine for the bikes that most of us mere mortals ride. Wes just wrote a thesis about methanol on one of the other boards, maybe he's up for another? Personally, I've always just filled it up with pump gas and dumped in some stabilizer but was thinking about the race gas thing this year.

Had a bad experience with Stabil a few yrs ago & will never use that stuff again. Have never had a problem with gas going bad in anything. My bikes, weedeater, gasblower, mower, etc all sit with gas in em. I dont drain the carbs or anything & they always fire right up in the spring with no problems.

Bad experience with Stabil?? Please, tell us more...

I always used the stuff - now I'm worried.
