Jason, we had a web page for a while, but it was a bit on the lame side. Plus one of us had to run it. The beauty of the badweb is that it's free, it works, and it's here in the heart of the Buell community.

Lake,
He's posting the count for the total number of messages in this sub-section on the board here, not his number of total posts. At least that's what I think he's doing.

Like I said, I'm just thinking out loud. I'm (obviously) new around here so I don't really know what's been done or talked about in the past. I don't neccesarily think all ideas I have are good ones, but I tend to throw things out there because sometimes the best ideas come from working with not so good ones. It's just my nature and I'll probably keep throwing things out there so if I'm driving you guys nuts by rehashing old stuff, just tell me to shut up.

Clearly Brew City doesn't play enough word games. :]

Don is right. The original Ukes Brag site sucked. Besides the whole purpose of that type of site is to get info out & Badweb works great for that.
Its not like we need to go & look up the events for the next yr or anything. If you have any ??? just ask & someone will answer.......umm usually.

Im not even an official Brag member, more like a mercenary. Have belonged to HOG for quite awhile now tho. The X1 is in my wifes & mine name but Buell told us they didnt have associate memberships the way HOG does, so only the wife is an "official" brag member. No big deal, both clubs are one & the same for the most part anyways.

Dyna...I don't want to get you even more pissed at Buell but
.

.
They do have associate memberships! Whoever told you they didn't, doesn't have a clue I hope I didn't hurt anyone's feelings.

Its no big deal anyways. Like I said HOG & Brag are one & the same. Either card gets you into all functions. I cant really see the purpose of joining both groups, wont make a difference.

And Im used to people saying shit & having no clue what the hell they are talking about. I coulda checked into it more, so I guess its just my fault:D

Now for something completely different.....

Has anyone tried the Harley FXRG jacket? I'm thinking about cold weather gear.

Don...I have a Buell Adventure jacket. It rocks for cold weather riding. Completely wind & water proof. Great liner. Too expensive!

That's a nice looking jacket! Just got a catalog in the mail from them. The FXRG stuff is typically more functional than the other lines. I had an awesome pair of FXRG Goretex boots, but they quit making them, dammit!

Don

That's what I have. Personally, I really like it. With the removable liner and venting, I'm comfortable from anywhere bewteen mid 40s up to the 80s (and higher as long as I'm moving). It also has enough pockets to keep you hunting for your cell phone long enough that you could've just walked home. If there was one thing I could wish for, it would be able to zip riding pants to it, but hey, can't win em all.

"comfortable from anywhere bewteen mid 40s up to the 80s"

That might be just the ticket, but really I'm looking for cold weather use ONLY. I have a fave jacket for the warm weather, what I'd like is a strictly 30-50 degree coat. Maybe I should check the snowmobile stuff out?

Oh, and I should mention that a $1,000 Aerostitch is out of the question - as are electric units.

And realistically, I'd like a coat that can keep me warm for 30 minute rides when the temp drops into the 20's.

Jason, for 30-50 deg weather I use my Columbia Titanium ski jacket and pants. Waterproof and plenty warm, blocks wind well too. Snowmobile clothes might be the way to go. We don't get that info in TX.

Sunday, Nov. 9...Today's Ride Schedule:

Meeting at 10:00am in Richmond, IL (Hwy 12 just south of the border). Nev & CJ: I'll see you at 9:45am in Lake Geneva.

The ride will be a hodge podge of back roads around the lakes & kettle moraine area. I'll probably just try to get everyone lost (including myself).

My columbia jacket works quite well.
I was plenty toasty last meeting night.
My hands on the other hand (no pun intended)
always have a hard time staying warm, I need handle bar heaters like my sled has:)

I went to the snowmobile dealer in Union Grove on Saturday. I bought a left-over 2001 Arctic Cat jacket. 3/4 length, 200 gram Thinsulate, reflective piping, nice high collar, waist belt, all black. Should work, we'll see. Only problem is a lack of armor.
