Hey Charlieboy!
hehe, welcome to New Mexico! Nope, that ain't coke ya see there, although from watching the news at night I imagine there's plenty of that around here. That thar stuff is SNOW! That cold, wet, stuff that people like to strap two sticks to their feet and ski down.
Not really much on the ground, it was gone by noon, but the temps stayed in the low 40's, and now the wind is blowing hard and the temps dropped again. Will probably get more tonight. Glad I got a short ride in while I could. The mountain sure looks pretty though.

Good to see ya posting over here Charlie, how's the new house? I don't post much over on the AZ thread, well... You see what happens when us "foriegners"(sp) post over there, LOL.
Life is good over here, I've got a 10,000 mountain in my backyard, and a great twisty that takes you up the back way to Santa Fe. Sure could use some of that sunshine you guys are hoarding down there in Yuma though! : )

I was glad to see you had a good time at Oktoberfast, at least someone from AZ made it!
Say hi to Liz, keep in touch, and try to keep the rubber side down.

OOH-RAH !!!

Yea, it was truly a blast. I really wished you were there. I would have enjoyed teaming up on the Navy (RReater) and the Army (Duck) with ya! I held my own though. I meant what I said about when I finally get the Uly. I'll come out to ride with ya.

BTW... Could you shoot me the details on Springfast too? Like to try and make it, but no promises, I'm off to recruiting duty! Whaaaaaaaa! Oh well, at least I'm staying in Yuma. I'm so crazy for just saying that!

Eliz is great and we're loving our new house. I just put in a pit BBQ and pitted a turkey and a ham. It was sweet! Did a lot of landscaping too seeing how modern development companies are too cheap to give you a backyard anymore. Shaping up nicely though.

Already put over 7,000 mi on the Titan in 3 months!

Semper Fidelius, Semper Fraternus!!!

Bart-
I saw your ride schedule over in the AZ thread. What part of May are you looking at? Darrell's son is graduating Memorial Day so it would need to be a couple of weeks earlier for us.
I think the NM-CO route looks great! We might drop the trailer up in Pueblo and then head back from there. That 25hr. drive home was a long one last year.

Dude, I'm throwin money away like it's going out of style. First I bought that Joe Rocket suit from you, then today I went to the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show in Long Beach and bought more gear. I got a nice Tour Master jacket for my son for $39 and gloves for $15. Then I got a two piece leathers from Fieldsheer for $269. It's a sweet deal. Now if only I had boots to go with it.

Anyway, I may get over to Glendale Harley again next week. I'll pick up some of those patches I told you about and see what other deals they have. Maybe with year end, they'll have a sale or something.

Well it appears you made the transition to Californian pretty quick. Spending money like a blonde teen in a mall. : )
I've spent a few $$$ myself. With the temps dropping into the single digits in the morning, I went out and bought an electric jacket liner, gloves, and pants liner. Nice and toasty now, but it's STILL cold up on Cedar crest.

Mike,
I got your email, didn't get the chance to reply, it's been a busy week so far. Just got handed a 4+ week project that needs to get finished before Christmas vacation. I had my Monday night football beers after work, probably all that I'll get until I head back to PA.

The dates are on my calendar, and blocked off. I'm still juggling Laguna, I'm up in the air about that still. I'm going to do BRATPACII, which leaves me with about a week to spare. I've also had a few friends that decided to get married, and I'm going to be in the weddings, one in NY and the other in TX. I need to finalize details with them with time commitments, then I'll know for sure. I'd much assume ride out than drive, lots and lots to see once we clear Kansas (no offense, Court). I'll let you know, hopefully within the next month.

Bartimus!!!
Hope NM is treating you well, haven't been in touch in a bit. I'll give you a call soon, brother.

Baby Bart,
Over and out.

I rode across Kansas last year, Nebraska isn't so bad after all.

p.s. Buell Homecoming is 6/2-4 but Wisconsin can't compare to the mountains.

Alex,
My calender is pretty full next year also. I'm putting on 4 major rides, going back east to PA for a wedding in June, and hitting Laconia, NH at the same time. I'm also planning on attending BratpacII. hehe You and I on the same ride, oh oh! : )
New Mexico is treating me well, I really like being IN the mountains instead of "close" to the mountains. I had to break down and buy me some electric clothes and gloves though. I woke up to see this today:

Not much actually, only about 2". I managed to make a snowman before going to work, LOL

2 of my Buells are in the background. Dang I wish I had a garage to keep them in!

You guys are ALWAYS welcome down here, just let me know when you'll be in the area, and I'll squeeze some ride time in.

uhh... You, I, Ferris, Bantz, FMJ and who knows who else. THAT is going to be an adventure. Maybe we can even con Court and that rebuilt S2 to come and hang.

We've been getting a decent amount of snow lately, enough that I'm starting to worry about my trip back to PA next week. I've had my heart set on driving back so I can pick up the Cyclone, I really don't need to drive through a blizzard and miss Christmas by a day or two.

I'll hopefully make it out to NM for the ride, other than that I can't say when I'd be out. Meeting up back in March was awesome, but under bad circumstances for a visit. I know my sis and I had a blast hanging with ya and having a few beers though.

Sad to see those bikes camped out in the parking lot, but I know the rest of the stable are safe and sound.
Take care, man.

Well, that looks very interesting. It's not like I don't have a ton of vacation to take, either. It's a friggin long way from LA though. I guess if you sell your little truck, that means your ride out there? That would be the mother of all rides.

At the end of that trip, around Front Royal, VA, my mother lives about 40 miles from there. So, there's incentive to go there as a part of this. I may have to start schmoozing the wife now to get her in the right frame of mind for a cross country trip. Could be interesting.

I guess I should start saving pennies now, too!

Forgot to mention that I'm writing this from the airport in Phoenix. I was flying home from Denver (helping open the new Hyatt) and my flight was delayed. So, I missed my connector and got bumped to a later flight... THREE HOURS LATER! That sucks. I know you live in Albuquerque now, but I just know that since it's the weekend, your in Phoenix. If only I had the time for a ride!!

Bart-
I was looking at the Old Farmer's Almanac to see what the weather should be like that week. Typical 45-65 for SW Colorado. I'll take it.

There are several who are interested but some are still in school depending on how many snow days they get this year.

I'm also glad that you moved the date out of April. Our union's contract expires 3/1 and several of us were told that we were not supposed to schedule any vacation Feb-Apr.

another cross country trip?

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting: "...holy shitt...what a ride!"

Another cross continent trip...

Hey man, I didn't plan this one, just sorta came together.

That Ferris feller wants an acoustic guitar, and found a manufacturer in St. Johns, NL that makes one that suits his liking. You know I can't let him burn all the way up there alone, figured you'd be interested too, what a cool place to hang out and party, and a ton of awesome chicks to boot. I can't wait to go back!

My sister says hey, keep it real, don't pick on kids at the fountain outside of the bar...

You riding back to PA this year?

Good 'ol Ferris. : )
Riding all the way up to NL to buy a Guitar? That guy has way too much time on his hands, LOL
My ride calender is packed for the upcoming year, YES, I will be going to PA this summer. I'm shipping my S1WL up there for my buddy in Nescopek. I'm going to store it up there since I'm running out of room down here in NM.
I'm taking the last two weeks and the first week of July off and riding back then. I'll miss Laconia, but the visit is mainly to see friends and family. I havn't seen my Mom in years. I got sick in '04 when I tried riding up there and ended up in the hospital.

Tell yer Sis the college kids ain't safe when I'm around, LOL. Shaina says hi. did I ever send you those pics you asked for? I can't remember. You know, that "sometimers" desease. : )

WOW!
You really have some rides planned out Bart. Good to see at least one Bueller is alive and kicking in NM. I'm sure I'll be joining you on some of those trips, especially 191. You should come join us at the track one of these months. Even if you don't ride, it's a good time to just watch and BS with people. I've got the crossroads bars ready to put on. I'll have them put together tomorrow after the paint dries, (had to paint the clamp black). I can't wait to feel the difference.

-oh, I've always got room for a spare bike or two here... course they might actually get used though!

Hey Kelly,
Enjoying that warm weather over there? hehehe
I raced bikes for 15 years when I was younger, streetbikes, dirtbikes, and dragracing. It's out of my blood now, I just like to ride, and ride, and ride. I'll leave that fast stuff for you young guys (and gals). For me, it's safe and sane riding.
I don't even watch motorcycle racing anymore. I'd rather be out riding than watching...
I'm sure you'd love to store a few of my bikes for me. But Brian has first dibs when I need more room in AZ for bikes.
Post pics after you get the bars on, and have fun at the track. Be careful, it only takes one fall to gimp yourself up, and you'll be sorry when you get old and gimpy like me. All them old wounds start to creak, and hurt.
: )

Some pics from when a short ride I took up South Mountain. One of the few times I was able to get my Brother to go with. That's him on the phone like always(that's why he never rides!)

By the way I put this lip on my flyscreen. It makes a huge difference! Well worth the $79 plus $10 shipping. I'd put a pic of it up but I don't have one yet.

Hey stranger!
How are you and Denise doing?
Yea, that is one heck of an idea for a ride, LOL.
While your thinking up ideas for rides this year, why don't you go to New Hampshire with me this June?
That should get you in shape for the BratPac II ride in September. : )

Ferris-
Newfie'sland in '07, I'd be up for it. The wife & I are talking about flying up there this summer. It's just a matter of picking a date.

Bart- Are you still looking at 6/3-4 for the Springfast? The five of us from Iowa met tonight to go over details. We will probably ride around CO for a couple days before meeting up. That way the young-uns can get used to mountain riding.

I think BluzM2 is still interested and Prior will decide the day before we leave
