Thanks, Blake, I've been bumping it to the top once in a while, but I just got back from a family visit to NOLA and haven't been on-line since Tuesday am. That dude is my brother-in-law. Hasn't ridden in 30 years or so, but after a few Gray Gooses (Geese??) he decided to take the super_moto_thing out on the gravel road outside the ranchito. Good thing I keep Mercurochrome on hand... Cochise and KevinfromWebb: Please let me know your ETA's as soon as you know them. We're up to 22 names on the list so far!! This promises to be a great get-together. One of the confirmed attendees is bringing 15 gallons of his homebrew cerveza especial and, knowing the guy, I'm pretty confident it'll be magnifico! Thursday 1/19 has finally slid onto the long-range weather forecast and the outlook is good: High 71 and Sunny ("Plan a scenic drive" it says!!). Now, I've lived on the Gulf Coast long enough not to believe everything the weatherman says, but I'm becoming cautiously optimistic that we're gonna have a favorable weather window. I'll be sending maps and directions to everybody on my e-mail list early next week. I'll include my cell # in case anybody needs to reach me after next Thursday morning, when I'll be heading up to the ranchito myself. It's important that everybody who wants to attend sends me their e-mail address and advises me of when they're going to arrive and whether they plan to stay overnight or not. This is so I can make sure I've got enough food and beverages. rt |
