Larry, I again believe Sunday, so the wedding is not a problem right?

Jim, Yeah, what Mike said! Hey at least you didn't plug up you vent tubes and ride to the mountains with a loose carburetor at the same time.

Stop laughing Brankin, I got some numbers while we were in little Mexico.

First and foremost,

WELCOME HOME - and thanks for your service - Southern Marine!!!

I know it will probably take you a little time to get to the C-3 section, but I noticed your post on the Quick Board about being home and just wanted to give you a welcome home in your 'home' Storm Fronts section.

Next most important,
To quote the headline performer from H-D's 100th anniversary celebration, Elton John, SAT-AH-DAY - SAT-AH-DAY - SAT-AH-DAY - SAT-AH-DAY ... I've been under the assumption that Saturday the 14th is the date that we will be caravanning (can we say that if we will be going in a Suburban?) to the IMS show. Dave even posted on the Quick Board under the DC IMS thread that the 14th 'was our day'.

Jim N,
It's good to see your forethought in asking about the safety of parking a car in the Smithfield H-D (with a silent Buell) lot, now. The same mistakes won't be repeated.

Rubberdown,
I owe you one, and you definitely slay me! I couldn't have put it any better.

Carlos,
Numbers, numbers??? And you didn't share? What kind of pal are you? Or did you think everyone was telling you 'You're #1!'? I guess the comic relief made up for the lack of sharing... I think we should get you some big shoes and a red nose for whenever you ride the M2, as there is always something funny going on then. In any event, be sure to bring some extra batteries for digital camera operation as it seems the ones you swapped to me (for a fully charged set) do not want to take a charge any longer. If you are serious about selling/parting out the M2, in the parts & accessoories wanted section there is a guy who immediately needs and has the cash for a 'back pack rest' for an M2 (I believe the Ventura Rack is what he is wanting).

Dave,
For extreme comedic relief, just how many people do you think we can fit in the Neon? Just thinking about it makes me harken back to the days of the 57 clowns (or should it be Carlos's?) piling out of a VW Bug when the circus came to town. I have to concur, this is going to be one heck of a kick-arse, FUN adventure! The topics of conversation will include, but are not limited to:
1. How amused everyone is when we go past the amusement park.
2. I can't believe these people drive this slow.
3. I can't believe these people drive this fast.
4. Hot babe at 3 o'clock (or any o'clock position that a hot babe is at).
5. What bikes we want to check out at the show.
6. Who will be the first to get their free T-shirt from Buell at the show.
7. How we can teardown and sneak out with one of the Buell walls for Spike. (Relax Mike, I hear the stand is different this year, but the guy who needs to be asked about getting a graphic of last years wall should be there...)
8. Just how many bikes at the show will have a muffler either below the bike or ending just after midship.
9. Upcoming events, such as: Daytona, March Badness, Homecoming...
10. The next topic is so unforgetable I forgot what it is.
11. This topic is so unmentionable I can't mention it here.
12. Who will be the first to sit on one of the leaned over XB's at the show AND make loud motor noises.
13. C'mon guys, you just knew I had to put 13 topics up here, didn't ya?

All of the above was meant to entertain and bring a smile to ones face or a chuckle to ones voice box. If the desired reactions above were not met, lighten up!

Gotta catch some Z's now...
I hate Thursday's as they are the longest day of my week.

Brankin, step away from the beer! Just how much have you had buddy? But seroiusly..................(not really) that's some funny stuff, and to quote Kelso-BUURRRNNNN!!!!!

This makes up for the fact that I'm up at 3:45AM because there was a HORRENDOUS crash in our closet in the form of all the clothes racks falling. Guess what I'm doing this week-end?

Elton John is right(odd for a gay man, usually they're left) and Steve Evans is wrong (SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SEE BIG DADDY DON GARLITS SET HIS NOSTRIL HAIR ON FIRE AT OVER 200 MILES PER HOUR !!!!!!!!!!)

I think we should take turns on the roof rack, or just use Brankin as designated rider. Especially when we get to the train station parking garage. He can do what he does so well, destructive testing.

Including putting Mark in the glove box, the Neon should hold 362.3148?

Carlos still owes me a few Harley T-shirts from the eighties, so good luck on getting those batteries there bub

BTW - What time are we talking about leaving?

Jim,

Check your yahoo e-mail for a picture of Brankin.

I think the current head count is 6 -
Carlos Dave Brankin
Jim Mark John

If this is correct, then there are 2 open seats. You all will be packed in (yes, even in a Suburban) but you can load your jackets, etc. in the back cargo area.

Not sure about time, Carlos and Dave will have to post on that later.

Take care and we'll see you soon.

Kristi

I figured it's about time. I think I spend more time here with Daves ordering parts and "stuff" than Carlos does. Between work, school and 3 children, there are days he has very little time to do much more. I try and keep him up-to-date on what's going on here. I also read some threads he doesn't and have a little info in the back of my mind for future reference. Never hurts to know just enough to be dangerous!

Hope you and Rebecca had a great holiday. I'm glad to be home after our travels. I'm ready for the weather to break so we can all go riding -- time for a babysitter!!

C3 picture time -- 2 Ulys!!!

Jim, Brankin's picture was a self portrait. It shows his best side.

Brankin, I was wondering how many clown's can fit on an M2 and ride around the ring. We have to try it so time, but let ME fix the rear shock first. That will making it even more fun!!!

As far as for the numbers, you didn't speak the language. The only thing I can not figure out is how you knew they thought I was NUMERO UNO.

Dave, Man you just don't know how much I have protected you from that t-shirt (Muscle shirt - no sleeves). When I borrowed that t-shirt we had a lot more hair on our heads and a lot less else where. If memory serves me you have a picture of us the day I borrowed it. You need to find it an bring it over so I can scan it and post it. That way everyone will understand why I've hid it all these years.

Larry, if you want to go, we'll make room, that's not a problem. If we get even a few more then we can justify a second vehicle. Remember, we can always strap Brankin to the roof.............

As far as Spike is concerned, it's winter. God knows if I had a project car right now, that's all I'd be about too. Once the weather gets warmer, the bike will once again be the center of attention.

Just got through talking to Spike and He is interested in going...has some technical problems to cover so we may go with you if there's space or take a second vehicle if not. I mean we both have 4 wheelers to chose from...Just a long ways by myself.

His car is a little less project and more fine tune, pretty kewl little car...Makes me want one myself. Larry

Here's the schedule for IMS:

We're going to leave Ayden @6:00 AM heading for Smithfield. Everyone loading up in Ayden meet at my house as there's ample parking here as opposed to Carlos's not so ample parking.

For those meeting us at Smithfield, we'll be there by 7:00 AM and we'll roll soon after trying to make the train station in Franconia-Springfield by 10 AM or so.

So far the definites are:
Carlos
Dave
Brankin
Jim
Mark
John

The most likelies are:
Larry
Mike
and possibly two of Jim's friends yet to be named.

Does that sound right?

Oh, boy. Trying to explain me. Now that's a TALL order. Do you know how many times I've actually been able to explain myself?
Hey, waitaminnit... Now that I think of it, Scot did a pretty good job here, starting on page 8.

Dave,
Let's go surfin' now, everybodies learnin' how, Come on and do the surfin' Safari - er, make that Suburban - with me... Sounds like it could be a world's record for the longest distance traveled vehicle surfing. Could be interesting if the weather's decent. Just keep a lookout for Johnny Law.

Carlos,
Donde esta el bano? Una cerveza, por favor! That's about all I remember from the year of Spanish I had in high school (and I know there is punctuation missing, too). Scheisse! Muschi. Ein Bier bitte! And that's about all I remember from the 12 weeks or so I spent in Germany in '02 and '03.

Larry/Spike,
If Spike does decide to make it, is there any possibility of bringing along the extra front fairing bracket from the 12R? Assuming that we do actually meet up it would seem to be the ideal time/place/way to make the handoff. I will be able to ship it back to Mike by whenever it is needed.

LOL, We were looking at that the other night and Mike said you wanted it...Had no idea for what use. I dont think he is planing to use it again as it is a cast peice and bending it back would weaken it past safe usage. I will probably be going Saturday. Hopefully Mike is too, and if not I can walk to my back yard(where his house is and get it for you. Larry

Hey,

I believe I've seen that Blast! before... From the Smoke Out in Salisbury this past June...
Blast! with clip ons
And looking back, there was a Sportster parked right next to it...
Sporty and Blast!
That's the saddlebag of my V-Rod in the lower right corner of the pic.
The Sportster had this cool battery cover on it.
Flames, dude!

Am I right, or is it just a coincidence?
