I got a chance to check out a new XB9S this last weekend in Austin TX. The riding position is far better to me than the XB9R. I feel less cramped up. The bars and the pegs make a huge difference. The seat feels pretty good too. The 'step' on the tail section isn't as bad as I thought it was in the pictures yet would look killer if it could be removed.

I would be tempted to drop $8500 on a new bike if I had that change burning a hole in my wallet

All...This Sunday is third Sunday ride...How many would be up for 180 miles to Salem for lunch?...I don't know how many of you have every ridden KK, west of Bixby going southwest off of 32 but I've ridden it now a couple of times with HSTA and it's awesomely fast...If we go to Salem I can get it on the route...Let me know what you think of the length?...

Bob, dealers are selling the 9Rs for $8500, they'll sell the 9S for the same if/when sales slow down..

Josh...This is a good thing...That's where the price needs to be to compete with the 600's...I wonder what the margin is at that price compared to, say, a gixxer?

See Ya!

I saw the 9RS at Topeka HD yesterday. I thought it was priced at 10k. I don't like it. It would be ok for a couple houch I mean hours. I really think Buell blew it by dumping the sport touring models. Just like they put fuel injection on all but one model. Then it wasn't really ready to be introduced yet. Hey what the heck do we know any way. Buell doesn't seem to have there finger on the pulse of what we want. I still like the mine. O well. We shall see.

The motorcycle show in St. Louis is coming up Friday through Sunday, November 15 – 17…As we did last year, the plan is to go out to dinner after the show closes Saturday night…If you’re coming in from out of town and need a place to stay please post it on the SLAB thread and we will see what we can do…

See Ya!

I'm going to leave today, Saturday, at 10 from the Eureka QT and ride down to the Warehouse restaurant in Farmington for a BBQ lunch...I would welcome anyone who wants to join me...Sorry for the short notice but I didn't know what the rain was going to do but it's stopped here and the radar is clear to the west...

See Ya!

Josh,
Thanks for the tickets! We had a great time! you were right about the blue collar season tickets holders in that area!! LOL I now know more about Blues hockey that I needed to know! Heather had a great time and said she definately wants to do ita again! The first period made the trip! 3 goals and 2 fights! LOL Heather even got to see the Blues win the first time she went to one of thier games. It ranked much higher than the Cardinals 4 to 2 lose to the Braves we attnded for her first baseball game. Sorry I have been extremely busy lately. I menat to drop you a note on this before. Well, back to the grind. 15 more days til I regain my sanity! :)

Glad you had a good time, it sounded like a good game. We can still get more tickets (1/2 price $35 seats - so $35 for the pair) for Sat Nov 9 vs Toronto if anyone wants to go with us.

We also have our seats for Oct 30 still avail.

How was the ride yesterday? Did anyone go?

Josh...We had a new Bueller on a X1...Anthony...Good rider and I think he enjoyed himself...His wife has a Blast but is not quite ready for group rides...We did'nt make it to Salem but turned around at Bixby...Seems we're in winter mode...Shorter rides, more frequent stops...I'll have to adjust my routes accordingly...Pumpkin ran great and, so far, I really like the BT020's...We'll see how the mileage goes...

So what goes with the Elves?...From the posts it seems they ran but where?...I thought that once it was canceled, that was it for the year...

See Ya!

Bonneville Speedweek (by SCTA) is every 3rd full week of August.
World of Speed (USFRA) Is in September
World Finals (also SCTA) is in October

World of Speed was rained out, World Finals is where we set a record at 202, then went 208 but couldn't back up that time.

Team Galbraith (Choptop) walked away with 4 records. FiremanJim went 162? and had the best looking bike there.

So what was Pumpkin's problem? Fix?

I need to flush & fill the brakes on the S3. The 40,000mile maint is past due and they're dragging a little.

Pumpkin was just a little constipated...Seems the packing was blocking the input side of the SuperTrap...Simple problem, simple fix, but, jeez, was it hard to locate...One of the techs heard it run and recognized the sound from his two stroke days when carbon would gather in spark arrestors and then break off and block thing up...

Thanks for the info on the salt...

See Ya!

Ride This Sunday...Meet at the Eureka QT at 12:30 p.m. to leave at 1:00 p.m...Don't forget to set your clocks back one hour...You should do this at 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning, not before, not after or your clocks will be wrong...

See Ya!

Damn!! I can only imagine how long you could troubleshoot before thinking of that.

Where are we going Sunday? I might just meet up with you guys and not ride unless it's a "gentle" ride. I won't be on the S3 or S1.

Josh and everyone else...There's been a change re Sunday...Josh, you've probably been reading it on the HSTA site...It is now meet at 11:30 to ride at 12:00 from the Eureka QT and the ride will end at Shady Jack's for hot chocolate (or whatever) and chili...We should be at Jack's about 3:00 or 3:30...The earlier start time was thought to give us more daylight...

Don't forget to change you clocks Sunday night...

Kevin...Please bring the duck!...Pretty, pretty, please!

See Ya!
