Dyna -- good move on the work thing . . . . it'll pay off, no doubt

I'm really sorry to hear the news on your scoot . . . if you really do have a lwyer involved, you may wish to keep a lid on public utterances . . .I'm no legal eagle, for sure, but when involved in similar situation (a long time ago), my Chicago Lawyer told me to put a sock in it unitl the gig was settled . . . .you may wish to ask yer guy about that . . .it would be a real shame to screw the deal yourself, yes?

ditto what Bomber said about utterances.

In IL my understanding of the lemon laws is that they apply to "motor vehicles" which a motorcycle fits the definition of. Check out WI. On the banking side of things, WI has very tough consumer protection laws. Perhaps that carries over to the motor vehicle code...

have a great weekend all, I'm signing out.
Lata.

37 good riding days left in the year.
There will be 17 in October, 11 in November, and 9 in December. But don't plan on riding on Christmas day unless you have a snowmobile.
If you have electric underwear you can add a few days of riding to the above.

(And if this count becomes true then I'm buying many Powerball tickets on New Years Eve.)

Mike...Classify a "good riding day".

If the forecast calls for above 40 and sunny, I'll riding. If it calls for above 50 and cloudy, I'll riding. If it rains or snows, I'm not riding. If they've salted the roads, I'll see ya in the spring.

Yup, road to work today and will probably ride again tomorrow. Gotta love Indian summer (even if only for a few days)

A good riding day can't be classified, everybody has to ride their own ride. Any day I ride and don't crash or get run into is a good riding day (although I don't much enjoy riding in lightening storms with high winds though, nor when the truck in front of you disappears in the tire spray when it's raining, but apart from all that ...). :)

earlier this year, I was running out west of Woodstock, IL on one of those farm to market roads, you know, the one's that run as straight as string for a couple of miles, and then jog about 1/4 mile one way or t'other (to stick to township borders, I've been told) . . . . a HUGE deluge of rain tracked almost exactly 100 meters north of me . . . . me in the sun, rain over there . . . . .we moverd at about the same pace and direction for about 20 minutes before it just stopped . . . . . . .

weather can be fun <I know, I'm a sick pup)

My Arai helmet is starting to fall apart. Lost three vents and both sideplates are cracked. Even dropped it once. Time for a new lid I suppose. Whattaya think of this one?

Accwhse has it at a blow out price in my size. (I'm partial to the whole Black/Orange/White scheme.)

Don

I've had Shoeis for a long time . . .. if my schuberth died, and I couldn't replace it, I'd go back to Shoei . . . . if you've got a Shoei shaped head, they can't be beat

Don...I bought a new AGV X-Vent from accwhse in the spring. Great price ($190) on clearance. The only problem: they billed me immediately but didn't ship for 2 1/2 weeks!!!! It took almost a month from the time of the sale to delivery. I've had that problem with them before. Also check out the AGV website (http://www.lazerhelmets.com/acatalog/index.htm) for clearance helmets.

About the riding in bad weather...I was mainly thinking of the rest of this year. It's no fun to ride in 45 degree rain:(

And yes, I've actually ridden in snow. I have a picture somewhere of being on Vail Pass in a spring snow storm. Now that SUCKS!!!!!

I've heard many good things about the xtec, and none bad. If it fits your head and your wallet then grab it.
I found one Arai that fit me well in a shop a year ago, only Arai that ever fit me. Currently running a Shoei RF-900 and it does fine.

My last helmet was a Shoei RF800. It was the quietest helmet ever! Very comfy, too. Funny thing was that the large was a bit big and the medium was too small. So my next lid was an Arai. Nice fit but not as quiet as the Shoei. However, the Arai was the best ventilated helmet ever!.

Choices, choices.

Anyway the regular price on a Shoei X-Tec is nearly $700!! The clearance price is right around $200. Can't shake a stick at that!

Don, I had a Shoei RF-800 and loved it. I currently have a RF-900 and love it even more. The ventilation is better than the 800 with an extra vent to the back (can really feel the difference with the shaved dome) and there's less buffeting with the 900. I really didn't expect that much of a difference (figured it was just advertising), but it was really pretty noticeable. Anyway, the 900 does fit a little different than the 800 (different foam shape and the chin guard is closer) so if you were in between sizes on the 800, the 900 might work. At least worth the try, I love mine.

My last helmet was a Shoei RF-800. It fit great but I always got headaches while riding. Switched to the AGV X-Vent. It weighs under 3#, has great ventilation, very quiet & excellent high speed stability:) Best of all....No more headaches!!!

Bads1, we must be fairly close. I've seen a few Buells running around (more in the past year or so). I know of at least one other, since it's sitting in my garage but he rarely rides. I think I've put almost as many miles on his bike as him (I feel bad just seeing it sit there). So that's three, M2Guy makes four...

I'd go for the bargain.
My sister doesn't call me cheap bastard for nothing:)
I've had shoei's for quite some time and haven't had a problem.
I could always use a new one?????????
what size did you say it was:)
