Charlie,
I was actually hoping you would suggest that it be done at your house LOL. I am a bit leary of removing bolts that help hold back fluids and want to show you the bolts I received before going at it. They do not have the small washer like the originals just the head of the bolt itself. I have tried to find the small washers without success so I am not sure the project is going to be completed anytime soon.
Let me know what day and time is convenient for you and I'll mosey on over.
Nuts,
What is going on with this wind? It hasn't let up since Thursday! I hope the opening day of Turkey is calm because the calls do not travel well with the wind blowing and our chances will plummet.
As far as your tires you ought to go with racing slicks! The way you lean that thing over looks like something straight off of ESPN. When I'm trying to follow you I hear these little voices in my head saying "Kinsey takes the lead in turn #3" and "Kinsey takes the checkered flag" LOL. Very impressive indeed.

Jackie, any chicken strip is way too much. You need to see the racebike at RVHD to see what riding on the edge looks like! Tomorrow I'll be in the woods in the A.M. Just have to do it. Gone now to work! Oh just finished my new chin spoiler paint job. Barely noticeable but I am much happier. NUTS

Jason,
You are right, Charlies' Cyclone is THE BOMB!! Lots o' trick stuff going on and you can tell it is his pride and joy. Not many that nice floating around.
I am leaning towards snagging a Cyclone myself now instead of the Lightning. Check out the ad here that is titled Molten Orange Cyclone and let me know what you think.
Good luck in the woods tomorrow and perhaps we can plan a trip to WR this weekend to scout us a few good turkey spots and get us some squirrels at the same time.

Alright, I just got off the phone with Kevin. Weather permitting he is heading up to Damascus VA Saturday afternoon. So how long would it take the Fast&Loose crew (all 3 of us) to fly down there? Any interest? He said there will be about a dozen bikes going with them. NUTS

Nuts,
I would love to go but I don't think my back can tolerate 2 1/2 hours one way. Figuring we would cruise a little while down there the total would be over 5 hours or so ride time.
I think I would just ruin the trip by having to take numerous extended breaks.
Ya'll have fun and tell Kevin to weld me a few brackets on the SS Drummer so I can go ahead and buy one.

Nuts,
I'm going bowhunting tomorrow to hopefully stock the freezer. I'll give you a ring tomorrow night to set up a time for Saturday.
Charlie, you want to get in on this one? Gonna be fun. Probably get wet but fun nonetheless LOL!
Looks like Sunday might be up in the air huh? I for one ain't feeling like a ride in the rain. I emailed the other Jason from BWB and reminded him of the ride. He said he will meet us at the shop.

Have you guys thawed out yet? I'm still waiting for my jewels to drop back out of my stomach LOL! I feel sorry for Kevin having to cruise back up to Christiansburg since it is usually much colder up there. I guess I have got to get a pair of boots now for sure since the air traveling up my legs was most unpleasant indeed.
Charlie, when you get a moment tell me a good tire to get so I can do some price comparisons and get it taken care of. I think we are going to take it off over at Jasons' and then go have it mounted and balanced instead of taking the whole bike to the shop.
Welp, had fun fellas and hope to see ya'll again soon. On a side note we need to let the other riders know about our little secret forum here so they can join in. If Zach has their contact emails perhaps we can forward them the link.

Jason,
I talked to the guy with the S1 this evening. He said it is in great shape and has been well taken care of. The down side is he does not have the title in hand. If he was local I don't think it would be much of an issue but he is 5 hours away AND being deployed to Iraq for 8 months! I don't know if I am willing to risk something going wrong.
I'll go check the one in Charlotte right now. Bye

Nut's & Jackie,
Had a good time today,I love the "Brocks" in kraut.
About your tire, Im an Avon guy,but there are several others that are good (not Dunlop)$90 to $120. Good tires are more important than anything else on your bike, what they can save you to coin a phrase is priceless.
On the boots,I like the "Oxtar". That's what I had on today. Go to www.newenough.com They have some really good deals on alot of stuff, that's where I got mine.Check their Closeout's.........Later Charlie

I saw the tapes MotoGP race last night. Sete Gibernau was leading the early stages of the race and you could see sparks flying off his OXTAR race boots in every corner! Jackie, get some with titanium toe sliders so you can see the sparks reflection in all that future chrome. What's with the guy not having the title? Skepticism is unfortunately going to keep that thing out of your chrome laden grasp. NUTS

$400 in tires, plus tire warmers. Oh yeah elephant nuts too. Hurricane Wilma has removed all non man made shade from the Kinsey sightline. Also known as the trees have become firewood. There is supposed to be a cold front after the storm so at least they won't be stuck without power and sweating to death.NUTS

I looked at several types of boots over at New Enough and found a few pair that I am really diggin'. Just have to make up my mind which ones I like the best. As far as the toe sliders we definately don't have to worry about that since I still have a fairly decent chicken strip on my rear tire.
The guy has a loan and used the bike title as collateral. Supposedly he is going to use the money from the bike sale to pay the loan off and then mail me the title. Sounds like an honest fellow but the whole idea of him heading to Iraq for 8 months doesn't sit well since I don't want to have it sitting here for 8 months should the title not reach him before he deploys.
Charlie, what part number is the Avon tire you recommend?

Maybe you could go with him to the loan office and give them the cash in trade for the title. Honestly any loan for title place wouldn't give fair market value for the bike. Those places are pretty much pawn shops. So he shouldn't owe more than the bike is worth. But it sounds sketchy to me, sorry. NUTS Let's see if we can get a deal buying more than 1 set of tires.

Jackie,
A good S1 is a major attitude bike to have( if it's a good one). If a title loan co. has his title, he must be hurting for money. I wouldn't think they would loan him more than $1500 to $2k on the bike. Go with him and don't leave there without the title. An S1(good one) is worth the extra effort.........Charlie

Hey fellas'
I have talked with the guy about going to the Navy credit union with him and paying the loan off to get the title. His reply was that the title isn't kept at the local branch but they would forward it to me. I really want this bike but I'm not about to risk losing that kind of money should something go wrong. His imminent deployment really complicates matters since there will be no way to get in touch with him for 8 months should I need additional signatures, etc.
And so the quest continues!

Hope the visit with the inlaws was nice. I figured we would skip the weekend hunt so you could hang out and bond LOL.
I am most definately going riding this afternoon. Give me a shout around noon to let me know if you're up for a cruise. Looks like one of the few nice days we are going to have left so we best do something!
Charlie,
You in on this one? I haven't gotten my front tire replaced yet so ya'll just pull over and wait on me every 20 miles or so.
I think I have a lead on a 98 S1 in immaculate condition. If things work out she might be in my stable by next weekend.
