Big ole RSVP from Joe for the BBQ.
I'm a RCH from quitting the second job so "fun Joe" will be back around soon. (you know, ... the guy who can go riding on the weekends)

I took this week off of work from the bank and spent all of it screwing off so far. Right now I'm waiting my turn for a Madden 2003 tourney with the neighbors. (mabey I can take the Pack all the way.)

Anyway, I hope all is going well with all youz.

Wes, I wish you and Stacey a pre-emptive congrats on whatever news you have.

And I'm in big time for the Slimey crud run. Will probably have some of those Jap bike riding guys in tow.

Saturday is my B-day. So if anybody is at Highland house on Sunday morning, I'll be the one trying to get my helmet on w/o puking. Come on down, you can check out my new drivebelt (thanks John)

And Yes, I go to HH even when hungover...

Just to let everyone know, I've changed my user name to M2GUY, figured I go with the bike theme like everyone else. It was hard to do though, I try to keep the same name due mulitple signins (it just makes things simpler at my age!)
Yellowblur, could you get me directions for the bbq, i'm not making any promisses because we'll be camping in northern kettle morain, but you never know, maybe I can sneak away for a couple hours and stop by for an hour or so. I can tell them I'm just going to get some milk or something. The bike is always looking for an excuse to go for a ride.

Krispy Kream???
You need to try some O&H Kringle:):)
Maybe next meeting?
Adios!

Tom

Just got back from the Gap & all I can say is Buells & BMW's suck!!!!!!!

Damn Bike broke down again. Friday afternoon myself & the wife were riding thru Smokey Mountain park, we parked at Laurel Falls & it wouldnt restart. Has spark, smells like it has gas, but the engine is sounding bad, same noise it made the other 2 times it dropped a valve.

Had to hitchhike 65 miles back to Fontana to get my truck....did I mention BMW bike riders suck!!! Had 2 groups pass us up & never even flinched. Myself & the wife standing on the side of the road, holding our jackets, helmets, tankbag & hitching thumb was out. About 16 of em in total, damn pricks. Had some chick in a Jeep come to the rescue.

Dont know whats wrong with the bike, I am taking it in tomorrow. If Buell ever produced a bigger piece of shit, i'd like to know where it is. 3rd time this bike has left me stranded.

Dyna, I thought I saw ya at the Fontana. Sorry to hear about your bike. Sounds like the thing that happened when I lost the front piston. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that has had major problems with Buell products.

I saw you I believe it was on friday afternoon up near the dragon. I had just finally gotten back to Fontana to get my truck & then had to haul ass back to the Smokies to retrieve my bike.

Ended up going to Gatlinburg after that, what a crummy little tourist trap of a town that is.

How come you didnt hang around for the BRAG dinner? It was a good time, although myself & the wife didnt eat the buffet. Too pricey & not worth it for what you got. We ate off the menu & got more food for half the money:)

Significa, In-Significa, and Facts:

Mark has tendered his resignation from office. I will be assuming the duties of Secretary for the few remaining weeks untill we elect new officers. Mark is not leaving the club, he is simply too lean on free time since his move to Chicago and the acceptance of a second job.

On the opposite note: I have quit my second job so I officially announce that in 2 weeks " FUN JOE" will return. Not being available for anything and working seven days a week was wearing on me. So now I'll be broke, but ready to roll on the weekends. (BBQ, Crud run, etc)

Our next meeting's agenda is quite full. We have a few things to take care of then go for a quick jaunt. Have a place you'd like to ride to (that serves food) and we'll pick one one randomly.

Take care all :)

Welcome back to "Fun Joe"! Does that mean we say goodbye to "Lame Joe"? Lol.

Best wishes to Mark on the new home/job.

Let's start thinking about nominees. Nominations will be taken at the October meeting, elections at the November.

I saw an XB9S on the freeway yesterday (near Uke's)- anybody here know about this? Hmmm...
