Well, who ever wants to ride in the BFB ride, I figure we will depart from Central Harley or something, and before I set a meeting time I would like to add a breakfast meeting time.

So if any Idea's other than the Minnich house @ 6:00 am (probably not even awake by then), speak up!!!

Paul

Update soon!

S1,
I have a feeling that I will be doing the BFB this next weekend. I have a group of people from the office that I kinda have to ride with since the company is sponsoring our entry fee (gots to love office politics.)

For the rest of the people on here:

On Saturday Sept 17 Motorcycle Works ( http://www.mcworx.com/ ) is having their open house and bike show. I will be entering my POS and should be there the most of the day. There is free grub and good looking bikes, it will be a good time at last year it was. I just wanted to see if anyone else is thinking of heading out to the shop.

That’s cool that a few plan on showing up at sometime that day. I am sure there will be some 50s out tearing it up, at least last year they did. I will probably be there from noon or so. Also it looks like the guys I was going to go to BFB with from work are not going, so if you are still going and the invite still stands I will meet you at IHOP or Central that morning. This will be my first one I have heard that it is a great ride and a lot fun, or it is giant fluster cuck. Who is all planning on going??

Is going to be a ride from Fuel this Friday?

Hey Dusty! What color is your wife's Blast? I saw a cute girl riding a Blast around Harrisonville last Sunday on my way back into town this Sunday.

BTW, I just returned from a 10 day 3,300 ile road trip to Western North Carolina. Ran Deal's Gap four times, Cherohala Skyway twice, Blue Ridge Parkway twice and a bunch of curvey mountain roads in between.

My current mileage sits at 37,640. Shazam, do you still have the notes of where we started this year for the mileage contest? What was my reading back then?

Well, guys, it was great meeting you all and the ride was awesome right up until when we got off of 435 onto I35 and my bike started loosing power. It felt like the clutch was slipping in all gears but the motor kep running just fine. I coasted off the road and watched your tail light disappear into the distance. I'm sure you guys had no idea what happened to me and I apologize for that. I tried to honk, but I'm sure it was futile. I sat for a few minutes and contemplated my options. 119th was just ahead, so I figured I'd try to get off the highway. The first time I tried to move it was no go, it was like my clutch wasn't there. I sat for a few more minutes swearing and then tried it again. This time the clutch felt fine and normal(!?). I got off on 119th and stayed on the back roads until I got home. On the way home my bike backfired two times when I was starting from a stop light. Sh*t. I was going to take it in for service on Monday anyway, now I guess I have no choice!
On a happier note, I had a blast in spite of all this and hope to do it again next Friday (or as soon as I get my bike fixed!).
Talk to you all soon,
WT

Larry,
Awesome! What time are you guys going? I checked my transmission and looked at my service manual and decided that my level might have been an ounce or two low but not overfull at all. I added an ounce and went inside to read about clutch cable adjustment. I'll either do it tonight or tomorrow AM and hopefully I can test it out with a ride to Olathe tomorrow morning. It has to go to the shop on Monday anyway for an annoying noise that I can not identify.
Have you used Gail's service by any chance? The parts dept guys were cool on the phone but they had only 2 Buells on the floor and like a t-shirt for girls. I only want a ball cap that isn't blue!
Talk to you soon,
WT

Whiskey,
Sorry about Friday night. I should have known that something was going wrong when you slowed down. I looked into my mirror and saw you pulling over, so I caught up with the other guys to let them know. We must have just missed you when we came back around. I'll email my cell number to you.

"I have it right here. It was 34,241"

Loren,

Impossible. I had 33K at the bike's 3 yr b-day in May. We did the mileage contest report at the beginning of the year. I think my number in January was 27 or 28k. Not 34.

BTW, my little hanger queen spent yesterday hauling around Mid America Motorplex! If you haven't done a trackday yet, what are you guys waiting for?!?!?

Hey Shazam!

What was Charles mileage back in January??? He thinks he is in the hunt for that club mileage trophy.

Charles you better pick up the pace! I had over 15K on my bike at it's 1 yr B-day. I could be ahead just be by a little bit. I'm still looking forward to all the cold weather riding in November, December and early January.

Yeah, A track day is on my To Do List. Did Track Addix sponsor the event?
