Liking the single headlight look. The higher flyscreen looks good also. Anxious to hear a road report on that one.

South mountain may be fun, kind of funny they actually call it a mountain.
Over here, the Sandia mountains overlook Albuquerque. From a height of about 10,000 ft. you can see almost 100 miles in all directions.

Shaina and I rode up there on Sunday on the city-X. Nice long windy road, light traffic, drastic temperature change. 85 degrees at the base, and 57 degrees at the top. we were only wearing t-shirts.

these are just some of the views of Albuquerque from the Sandia Crest parking area. Pretty sweet, eh?

There's a small gift shop, and restaurant on the top. Here's a couple pics of some wildlife that just walked up to us begging for food.

Life is good!!!
Brian, wish you were here...

Hey all! We had a fantastic turn out for the Salt River Ride. I believe the final count ended up being about 15 or 16 there were some late arrivals. Kickstands up at 6:30 like originally planned, and we were off to the canyon.
Upon arriving in Globe we were greeted by the infamous electrical gremlin whom so graciously plauged Andrew's XB 12, final diagnosis was the ECM fried like mine on the Spring Fast ride. Loose terminal on the positive cable. Our sweep rider Steve stayed with Andrew until the trailer
arrived from Chandler. James showed up at the Chevron in Globe and we were off to the canyon.
We made one last stop before the entrance of the canyon to let riders be aware off whats to come.
Down in the canyon Mikel and his friend( sorry name slipped my memory) they were trying to get some nice photos of us, but did'nt turn out, maybe next time.
After riding up the canyon then coming back down
James went down in a sweeping corner causing substantial damage to himself and bike. Get well brother! I believe I can speak for most of us when I say whatever you need just ask.
Post ride BBQ was also a success with riders showing from all over the valley and one knowledgeable bueller from Flagstaff.
Great time meeting new faces and old friends and making new friends.
Thank you to all who participated here is just a taste of some of the ride pics, more to come.
Here is the meet up point
Pics of riders and their rides.
I do not have a pic for James, Blake, and his pops you guys showed up a minute after Grant stopped shooting. I may be able to rustle up some pics of James and his broken steed.
Enjoy!

I think you may do well to remove the foam... I would think it should act like a laminar lip if you do?

the foam is probably to stop the air flow between the fly screen and the windshield.

it looks pretty good, didja just take a piece of plexi and cut it?

"the foam is probably to stop the air flow between the fly screen and the windshield. "

Exactly : ).

This will create a large area behind the windscreen (but not very deep) which will cause the air going around the larger screen to want to fill. This will reduce the size of the "bubble" that's created by the larger windscreen. If he removes the foam, some air will be allowed through there but will not be vectored to the rider. Therefor the rider won't feel it. Because of the reduced size of the low pressure area right behind the screen (not to mention that the vacuum that IS there will have a higher pressure) the air flowing over the outer windscreen won't be so inclined to turn as sharply around the edge. I think that will create a larger bubble.

Good point Don, I think I'll remove the form and try it.

The fly screen is a replica screen from the new 1957 Royal Enfield. Bought it on from the Royal Enfield web site.

BattleTrax held by Scottsdale BMW back in April. I was going thru some of my negatives with the new scanner and found a couple that weren't as bad as had been originally thought/scanned. Must have been all them damn meds I was on back then...suprised I was even functional back then with all the stuff I was taking...
