CAP, real powerful bike that black Daytona triple, a 01? (Brit R1). I considered the Sprint but too pricey for now. And I like to sit up, another reason for the Cyclone and FZ1.

RAY, damn FZ is so near perfect I've made few changes. So far just touring stuff, NWS Hugger(nice piece!) and Extenda Fenda, Ventura Pack and Lightgaurd, Technic s/bags, Oxford tankbag, smoked Touring WS, rotated bar risers 180 to move them back another inch, partial chop on the rear fender as per WildRice's site and other (free) mods. No muffler change planned. (Maybe next year) Enjoying the quiet stealth right now versus the loud M2. NO shortage of power stock. It is lean in the midrange, runs too hot but instead of Ivans jet kit will do the (free) Wildrice needle shim. Easy to do and probably all it needs. Will help cold starts too. Carbtune II synch tool is on the list.
I had my first look and testsit today on the new FZR1300. WOW! But the FZ will do much the same for 5 grand less.

Actually it's an older 97 T595 so it may be a little less hp than the new ones, still more than the Buell though.

Galen,
Let's one of us get a hold of Stu and see if we can some phone numbers to call for reservations. Good to hear about Betty. I am breaking an old tradition of not naming cars or bikes and to my wife's surprize (She always does) naming the Triumph.

The newest issue of Motorcyclist has my next bike in it. An Aprilia Mille R-based streetfighter called the Tuono. Loaded with titanium and carbon-fibre. Only $17000US. I'll have to get parts in Seattle since they don't market Aprilia up here. And they're only making 200 (60 for the US), so that could be a problem.
But at least its a twin.
Have fun at Donner. It's in my scope for next year, if there is one. See you for Border Raid.

For those interested in Border Raid, you may want to reserve a room at the Blackcomb Lodge in Whistler for Saturday Night. This is where most people stayed last year. It's right in the village and has underground/secure parking.
Here's the link:

I've herd rumor that some other big thing is happening in Whistler on the same weekend and most of the rooms have already been taken. If you're going to go you better get your reserves right away.

Wait 'till you guys see my new bike. Customized in the Rain Forest, as it were. The S1 'screen didn't work out, so I've mounted the wind shield from the S3 upside down on the X1 mounts...really!

'Talkin' 'bout the saga of the night the bikes went wild,
four happy gladiators dressed up for a war , self styled.
An Interceptor, Ninja, an eleven hundred had a plot to score,
but me and my Suzuki knew we had so much more!

...they thought it would be another fantastic late night road rally, but it was the war of the Super Bikes!

Red hot bikes with rumbleing, hight tech power plants hitched up to the starting line, but when the dust cleared up on Devils Backbone,
one man, one bike, one dream, would scream across the finish line!

He laid it down with the turbo cranked up full bore, an air cooled transverse in-line four-so-four
I knew the eleven hundred was the man to burn,
I ruled the straightaways, he had me in the turns!

...as they blasted onto the high banks the Ninja smoked a clutch, 42 feet from the start he laid it down into thoes greasy S-turns...in the distance thoes over sized japanese leg-burners sounded like some sort of mutated, gigantic inscets, 3 men on monster machines shot out of God's sling-shot...

The Interceptor chased me as we ran down the drive-inn show,
all I had to do was hold on, seven miles to go.
There were red lights flashin', the cops were gaining fast,
in some way, I knew we weren't gona last.

Rube made a move on the inside as the speedometer bounced over the hundred mile per hour mark, but he got a little too deep into the curve. He didn't see the pot-hole. All he saw was a burning, hurtleing ball of Death as he blasted off into the cool night air, just him and his leather...it's the war of the super bikes...
...it's the War of the Super Bikes!

can't remember the name of the band, think they were from Chicago. See ya at the SWISS!

sooner, GALEN

Bob,
I have to hand it to ya...you sure know how to pick them. I never thought another bike could light me up like my Buell, but was I wrong. I love the Daytona! It's one nasty-ass bike. I believe we will get on quite well together! I'd be at the Swiss tonight to show off but I have an early call and am not feeling well.

Rick,
Your wrong! It's not too loud.

Galen,
I'm going to go ahead and make a reservation for Border Raid at the Blackhome Inn and if for some reason I can't make it, you can take it okay? I'll let you know how many we can sleep.

Have fun Guys!

By the way, I have named the bike Mythraal. I'm really curious if anyone out there is familiar with the name and the creature.

I tried to make a reservation at the Blackcomb Lodge for Saturday night (Border Raid) but they have a 3 night minimum as it's a long weekend. They said to call back a week before and they may be able to book one night - no thanks. I called the Crystal Lodge and.....no problem. Actually, that was where a few of us stayed last year. They also had a lock up for the bikes underground.
The phone# is 604-932-2221.
