To the top..BBQ this weekend at my place!

Still looking for a firm head count. So far I count 2 Dunn's and 3 Naff's bearing pies.

Hootowl, B2M2, Roadrunr, how many mouths are you bringing?

Any other Houston area guys ready to commit? The weather forecast for Saturday is good, warm and only 20% chance of rain...

Is anybody coming down from Austin? Kilgore? NYC? Chicago? Rangoon?

RT,
Please e-mail directions to El Rancho. I'll try to make it, if I don't have to work too late Saturday. Maybe I can persuade some other Austinites to join me!
Thanks,

Gentlemen (and ladies!) it was a pleasure having you all! Thanks especially to Phillip the Pieman and Hootowl for bringing food and beverages!

And special thanks to Hellbuellie Jay for making the late night roundtrip from Austin!

Dan, the wounded Kitty is safe in the barn with all the other livestock.

I can't believe I didn't take any pictures!

Thanks for the warm reception, Senor Thing! I'm just sorry nobody else stuck around long enough to enjoy my "full moon" entrance! We simply must do it again sometime!
By the way, if any of you mosey into Austin, I'm now working for Central Texas H-D/Buell (Braker Lane and IH-35) and am helping "kick-start" their BRAG chapter with Denny "da Bomb" Bahm. Had to resign as Director of the Austin H-D/Buell "Regulators" BRAG (obvious conflict of interest), but am still a member there also. We'll be having an initial organisational meeting on Wednesday, May 11th at C-Hunt's Icehouse. I'll post details soon for any who'd like to attend...

Thanks to Bill Schaefer (hereinafter known as "Vette-Boy" ) for these two pics from our recent BBQ at el Ranchito Chingadero:

Here's your host, flipping burgers for the assembled multitudes:

And here I am again, but at least there are some Buells in the background, along with the lovely and talented Hootowl:

It was fun, guys, let's do it again soon!

Things have been very busy at the shop and there are lots of new Ducati owners in town. I love being this busy and keeping the shop healthy but I have not been doing a good job of reminding people about all the stuff we have going on this time of year.

1. TEXAS DUCATI TRACKDAYS - WE NEED YOU!! This Monday May 23 the signups are weak and we have plenty of room left for more people. Remember that all european bikes are welcome at the MSR dates. At Texas World Speedway on June 13 and July 18, all bikes are welcome. Help us spread the word. I want to take a moment to thank all the folks who have been participating. I especially want to thank everybody that signs up at Ducati Austin and helps us pay our part of the track rental. We also have room for volunteers who want to help with corner work.

The Trackdays we host are perfect for your first track experience and the fast guys alike. We put everybody in the appropriate riding group so you can ride with others of your approximate speed and skill level. There is an introduction class and track ride to familiarize riders who have not been before. Riding on a track is pure fun and is a much safer way to improve your riding. If you have any questions about the day or preparations, please feel free to call the shop anytime and speak to Chris or Jeff. Sign up through Chris at 512.291.5100. (see attached flyer)

2. ROADRUNNER RALLY - Sunday June 5th - I have not seen any flyers but I am assured that this is taking place for the 11th year in a row. Ski Shores cafe. Vintage bike show and general fun get together.

3. DIRTY MARTINS - Every Thursday - 7pm - We still meet every thursday to hang out and enjoy a hamburger at one of Austin's oldest joints. Stop in and meet some new folks to ride with.

4. LAGUNA SECA - I'm going. If your going shoot me an email and we will pick a spot for the Texas crew to meet sometime during the weekend. Probably Friday or Saturday night. Any Ideas?

Thanks again for all the support. Hope to see you soon.

Warmest Regards,
Jeff Brooks

Just a little heads up for all the Houston area Buellers. As I was trying to run down some parts today I found out that Republic H/D, Stubbs H/D, The Woodlands H/D and Texan H/D are all no longer Buell dealers. One of them wouldn’t even order the parts I needed any longer. Mancuso H/D is now the only game in town representing Buell…….for how much longer I don’t know. Is the writing on the wall here?

I vowed to never go back to Mancusso on the North West side because they have poor Buell support. I just order from Dave and get service at the Honda dealer.

Goe HD in Angelton is also a Buell dealer. I called looking for a demo and they (Goe) said it was only them and Mancuso left. The 610 Mancuso referred me to the Crossroads store for information. I think the others will get back into the fold after this model year. And it is sort of hard to sell a sport bike in a cruiser shop. Goe also has Kawaski for sell.
