We had a rockin' good time  There were some realllllly interesting "characters" out there  Anybody feel like some paisley?? We'll be at the Dragstrip Thurs..Probably with William, too. happy belated b-day Fiery! I'm planning on going to the drag strip thursday for sure. Finally got my cast off! hhhmmmm...last time I saw CJ she was dancing on a table at summerfest...although that doiesn't compare to her sliding down a hill on a table at road america. | ||

Holy cow, I forgot about that incident at Road America, that was too funny, but no dancing there either, just stupidity !! LOL Hellion, yep 6 of us were at that concert, we had a blast !! Wish I'd known you guys were there, but it was crowded !! Fiery, yea I'd go to Ikea in a car/truck, hard to shop on the bike and I HATE the tolls on a bike, yuk !! CJ | ||

Actually thursday is up in the air at the moment....bunch of cool things going on! Leah is doing very good on the drag bike...good enough to get the attention of Eagle Harley-Davidson in Lafyette Indiana. They are actually bringing a 9 second V-rod to the strip to give her a try out on, with the possibility of going AHDRA drag racing on it in the future, so she is a little bit nervous/overwhelmed! So that frees up the Buell for me, but I will probably bring the road race XB along to ride anyway just to practice my launches a little bit. Unfortunately the only thing that really hurts to do with my wrist is the motion required to open a throttle to WOT, so we will see how it goes... I may not even be there. got a call a couple of hours ago to ride a V-rod at bonneville...tomorrow! If everything works out, may be on a plane to salt lake city tonight (50/50 chance)! I probably cursed my chances saying anything.... From what I heard Fiery, you are doing great at the drag strip! Hopefully we will see you out there! I think its super cool everyone is getting involved in the drag race thing...its definitely a lot of fun. | ||

I'm going to have to miss the dragstrip this week also  I'll be in Brooklyn, MI for some Nascar action! Leave thursday afternoon and return home monday. My friend actually got us garage passes this time. Will have to see where that gets us. Go luck to all! See ya!  | ||

Went last year. IMO, over rated. Wasn't bad, but most of the Vendors were selling used junk, and I'm not kidding. Lots of very strange choppers built from 70's bike with some terrible paint jobs. Some, I must admit, were pretty cool though. LOTS of weird @ss collage kids. But if that's your thing, it's worth it. Good to see at least once. | ||

Well, the bonneville thing fell through, although it looks like I have a ride for the Bub's event in 3 weeks at bonneville, so not all is lost! I'm a big Rockerbox fan. Have been to all three and have seen it grow exponentially every year. It got a bunch of airplay last year so it will be interesting to see what it becomes. It was partially founded by my buddy Scott Johnson who is an owner of the Fuel Cafe, Trocedero, Palomino, Comet, etc. He is also a real fast vintage racer turned dirt tracker. Its definitely a very east side anti-establishment type thing (not a lot of Harley's unless they are true hard core), but isn't that what Buell is all about????? People are on the 'interesting' side as far as tatoo's/piercings/etc is concerned, but it has been my experience that you can't deal with a better bunch of enthusiasts. Could probably scare the hell out of whitebread suburbia, but thats half the reason I like it!Bike thing is cool as you see some really wild stuff. I was going to try and have my CL450 done for it, but doesn't look like its going to happen. I painted a couple of the bikes that will be in the 'show', including first year best of show winner which was a RD400 dirt tracker. Painted a neat green/red Guzzi V7 sport replica and a cafe KZ650 that will be there too. Just an FYI - Buell tapped into this same crowd, including Scott, for styling input into the XB lightning. He's on one of the Buell XB lightning Intro tapes. | ||

Gee why does all the cool stuff have to happen at the same time?? Doin the round Lake Michigan ride with Fiery, Rickyracer, and another bike Friday thru Sunday. Oh well can't do it all wish I could tho.... Steve I sure liked the growin up thing... So what time is the draggin thing start Thursday? I will be in Racine but not sure if early enough to see all the action. Sounds like Fiery wants to be there, then she will be my passenger for 3 days, that will be interesting, I can hear it at every stoplite over the intercom,GO!!!! | ||

I spent an evening on a chopper.I've ridden one before but not as fast as this thing.My nephew dropped it off at my house to detail it for him.First time I've seen it.Everything Billet, chrome,and flames.It got 124 TP motor in it with compression release.This thing pulls like a frieght train.Just Revs and Revs.Handles like total crap but its actually fun to ride at the same time.The bike will be in the open to the public show tis Sunday.It was dynoed about a 2 weeks ago at about 125HP.He'll have it also on the dyno Sunday.I seriously wonder if this thing is faster then my XB cause it sure feels like it by alot. | ||
