I found this site about a week ago and have been reading new posts daily. Just came across this groups page. Can you give me any info on Brew City BRAG. I live and work in Milwaukee and usually go to Hal's for parts.

Thanks

Kinger... Welcome to the BWB!!! On behalf of the Brew City BRAG chapter, we'd love to have ya at our next event. There is a chapter ride leaving from Hal's on Sunday at 10:00am (I can't be there because of previous obligations).

Our meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of each month. We meet at Hal's at 7:00pm. To be on the safe side, get there a little before 7pm.

I'll forward a copy of our last newsletter.

Aaron/Kinger,
Just track down Rick next time you're in there at Hal's.
There is also a BattleTrax event Saturday up at West Bend H-D/Buell, hwy45 north to hwy33, then just a bit west. Free to play event, or just fun to watch as well. Practice before noon, competition after noon sometime.

Jerry,
Got your message last night, sent you one in return a little after 9pm.
Good news: found the chainfall hoist and a chunk of rafter-sized chain to hang it up with.
Bad news: the base portion for the engine hoist is deep within the storage unit. Figure 30 minutes to get to it (have to move the kit car, a stove, fridge, and some lumber and stuff, will have to bring the handtruck over from the apt.).
Good news: probably sold the van to the biker dude at the storage unit at the other end.
Bad news: supposed to be thunderstorms today, so the storage unit attack may get a little soupy.
Good news: I'm a drip-dry kind of guy so working in a little rain is no problem.
Bad news: storage unit is a tin building and probably not a good place to be working if it starts to turn into a lightening storm.
I get off work at 5pm. (Is that good or bad news?)

See ya sat at west bend. Gonna be a downer when the series is over. Talked with the Buell rep who was responsible for setting this series up & he wants to make it an annual deal. I talked with him about including northern Ill also & he said thats his intentions for next year. Bigger & better...ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MikeJ:

The swingarm lift/chain fall combination will work great. I threw a couple of 2x4's that lye on 4 rafters to help. I bought a ratchet heavy duty web tie down and put that under the backbone frame near the steering head, connected it to the chain fall and up she came with no problems. I shouldn't have to suspend it more than a minute or two. Just long enough to take the tire out and get the axel back in to rest it on the jackstand. Thanks again for your help.

I don't think I'll be making the West Bend Battle Trax. The subframe isn't in yet, and I need to spend some quality time with my wife. I think I've seen her a total of 4 hours this week. Her working nights and me working days at work and evenings on my paper, doesn't leave a lot of time for much else.:(

Everyone,
If by chance the frame piece does come in by Saturday, I hope to make the ride on Sunday. If not, enjoy the ride. If anyone wants to carry the first aid kit let me know, and I can get it to Rick at the dealership so you guys/gals have it.

Thanks to Rick & Andrea for getting the minutes out from the last meeting

Just a quick reminder of upcoming stuff...

1) Anyone interested in riding this Sunday, I only have 1 person for a ride & boat cruise afternoon. Call (262-348-9086) or email if interested. If you don't have time for both, try to make one. I'll try to get times out on Friday.

2) There are still 5 spots left for the camping trip. We lost our sag wagon driver. Andrea has to work on Sunday. Any volunteers? If all else fails, I'll drive my truck with gear and trailer the bike

3) Meeting next Tuesday at Hal's.

Two things for today....

1) Don't forget the meeting is tomorrow at Hal's. Please be there by 6:50pm (or if you're like me, pound on the door until someone hears you)

2) I'd like to fill the camping trip. We only have 6 confirmed people as of today. Call your friends & family!!!

3) (okay, I know I only said two but...)
In addition to looking for the jag-offs that threw something at MikeJ, we now need to hunt down the punks that threw a 30# brink through the windshield of my truck!!!!!

While you were driving it?????
Glad you're okay.

How's that old movie line go? Time to get Medieval on them. Legally, of course.

Mike,

Are you making the meeting tonight? If so in the car or on the bike? I can bring the chainfall and jackstands if you'd like.

Jerry,
I'm on the bike today 'cause the car has no brakes left and the bolts may be too rusty to fix it.

Anyway, got stuff to take care of tonight so probably won't be at the meeting. We'll have to link up another time if that's okay with you.

So, is the bike all fixed now, or just patched together?

No problem, you know where the stuff is if you need it at anytime. Just let me know.

The Bananna is fixed and running. Just some cosmetic damage left. I can live with that with no problem. I may or may not replace the chrome plastic headlight bezel and the fairing bracket, depends on how I feel.

New Avon tires are on with only about 6 miles on them. Just haven't been riding that much. Mostly because of an inner ear infection that was messing with my head and making it spin. Kind of like a low grade hangover that would not go away for about a week and a half. It sucked.

I am really looking forward to Wildcat Mountain this weekend. Get to spend some time with my brother and good friends sitting around the campfire and swapping lies.

Have a good time camping. I'll be up in Iola kicking tires sometime this weekend.

Ear infections and such are weird how they mess with balance and all that.

Mike- I almost wish I was driving when it happened. At least I would've had 1/2 a chance of catching the bastards!

I did catch the jerks, but decided to stay out of jail at the time. I'll catch up with them again to fill in the missing details for the vacationing officer to get him a little more motivated to stop any future occurances of their felonious assaults.

Crime sucks, but it usually isn't worth dieing over.
