Well RAY, you know I don't care about your feeling's, so if I see any such item, you're covered!

CAP, looks like BOB,& Debbies @ 3:00 p.m. Friday!!!

The Evo/Sporty/Buell oil filters are cured, resin-impregnated paper.BUT the Twin Cam filters are a synthetic media that will filter out anything larger than 10 microns. The happy news is that, according to The Motor Company, the Twin Cam filter is fully retro-fitable to most models using a spin on oil filter. I'm gona check it out next oil change.

Been havin' a great time this week riding around with my boy (8yo). He has a Harly leather jacket we got at a hock shop befor he was born, and I let him push the button to start it up. Another biker is born!

later,GALEN

The count for Friday night's BBQ in Woodland is at 25 and going strong. Chime in here before Thursday, thats when were doing the grocery store thing.

Roc, the deal in Welches on Aug. 17th is called HOGS On Hood and is The Oregon State HOG Rally. More info can be found by doing the www.Harley to HOG to Events dance. Battle Trax won't be there but Thunder Cross will be making it's third apperance at The Oregon State Hog Rally. They got some geezers on dressers that can really ride but I think Deb can kick all their asses.

Ride often, Ride hard, Ride safe

I guess those HOG boys can't read their Enthusiast Mag from good ol' H/D. I get mine and Buells' are definitely in there. The least they could do is look at the pictures.

Chris & Loni,
I thought I better chime in on the BBQ as well, in case you didn't draw the conclusion from my email. Count me in! Please don't be insulted by my inference, but sometimes I fall into the ass out of you and me assumption thing. I woundn't want to make an incorrect assumption about your making an assumption. Did I just confuse myself?

Galen, Bob,
See ya at Bob's place providing I can remember how to get there.

If there is anyone else going to Bobs from Seattle or the Kipsap Penninsula, email me about meeting up

Jim and I are meeting at Stu's place and heading out at 9:00AM. We will probably get through the border at 9:30 if there isn't too much traffic. Stu is in Millwaukee for the next few days so I don't know what his intentions are as far as a route go. I'm wondering if we can be at Bob and Deb's by noon to hook up for the ride. Let me know if this is doable geographically.
Thanks, Bib

Hey Cap, got you down for an official "I'll be there but I gotta find Bob's house first".

The head count is up to 30 and rising, keep those cards and letters coming.

Bib,
From past experience the group leaves Stu's and usually a scenic route is found to make the trip down more enjoyable. With meal and fuel stops the whole trip can take at least 8-9 hours*.
The big meet... the oasis after a good day's ride is Woodland, where we hook up with everyone else and anticipate the next day's riding.

*Although the group usually rides straight through the middle of Seattle, it and Tacoma can be bypassed to make better time.

This year we're heading down a day early and hooking up with Buellnuts...

Bob & Deb, psstt...We're still on right?

How do I love BOB and Debbie? Not only when they save me. Like today, fer instance! FOR SOME REASON I went into the back of a cage at 30-35 mph today. As I'm gasping for breath (ribs crack WAY to easy) and the people gathering are talking cell phones and MEDICAL CARE ($), and "DONT MOVE! DON'T GET UP! I'm thinking'I gotta get up and RUN AWAY!'... Here comes the BOB and Debbie part... I pulled this little trick off just a few blocks from their crib, so a cell call later they were on the way to SAVE me again! Fire truck;'I'm OK, please go away now.' Tacoma's dimmest(thankfully) 'I'm OK. There OK. Go away.' AND SHE DID!

So Betty Buell don't got a fairing no more. Or a front fender. Or an oil filter(gots a hole in it?). Or some other un-nessary stuff...probably be faster with out the extra weight...

Gona take a little rest now, and then start going over the welds, etc. If I can breath and ride I'll see ya next weekend...

Galen

If you’re ever at a Target store and find a black t-shirt with white letters that says "I Do All My Own Stunts" you can keep it and wear it proudly.

Mikej - worst in the nation!

For SPLASH everyone is staying at the Packwood Crest Trail Lodge, 1-800-477-5339, correct? The temp. manager could not tell me if this was correct when I called about a room. Please let me know so I can reserve one. Thanks

Is everyone camping on Friday? When are people leaving and can I follow a Buller up there?

Roc,
Thanks, I think.
Now I have to get out the windshield wiper goggles and read between the lines to determine if the LesserSeattle group has expanded southward. "Nope, no jobs here, tourist good, relocatee bad".

Have fun on the SPLASH run/ride.

As Dr. Smith was often heard to say,"OH THE PAIN, THE PAIN!!"
Now with the entire nose section off, the bike is looking kinda cool. Other than the duct-tape, anyway!
If I'm lucky enough to roll out this weekend, I'll be riding sweep!
