I can't wait for my man hugs in September.

By the way I was at the Motorcycle Drags in Mission BC today and our friend and favorite wrench Dale Casper from Deeley's won the street bike class on a Buell running a 10.89 e.t.
Way to go Dale!

The Top Fuel Harley's were outstanding with a 6.58 as the fastest pass of the day by Ron Houniet who ended up losing in the final.

The time has come to determine where we can meet as a group to depart for our beloved Sport Lap Around mt. St. Helens (SPLASH)!

Meeting somewhere close to the Truck Boarder crossing would suit Craig and me just fine -- Gas station at 176th and 8th??? I suggest an early start (meet at 8AM), have breakfast and gas up in Blaine then continue on our way.

Rather than I-5 all the way, I suggest we can veer off on Hwy 9 at Lynnwood, continue down on the I-405 South all the way to Renton, and then decide to keep off the I-5 some more by taking the 167 South to hwy 18 West (just past Kent) to hook back up to the I-5 a little bit north of Tacoma.

Well, if anyone is reading(!) I think I might have just made it very easy for you to make it to SPLASH! I picked the meeting time & place, and planned the route! We can thank other mighty-fine-folks that have planned the BBQ in Woodland WA, and rest of the route for the ride.

I think I'll have to try curb my excitement now!

John

Good on ya for speaking up!

I thought we'd all just show up for the fun, but you have a plan.
A plan not that different that our's either.

Eric, Keith (Cool new guy), and self are departing Whiterock at approx. 8:30AM (Right Eric)?
Heading is I5 to Tachoma (basically Bob & Debs) then Hwy 7 to Randle and the BEST SIDE of St HELEN'S into Woodland to enjoy Loni's awesome BBQ.

We could meet you & company at your breakfast stop and go from there!

In to it?

So Jimmy, you're plan of attack is to start by braving the I-5 for a bum numbing ~150 miles, all while keeping focused on the prize ... the Best Side of St Helen's! Hmmm... that last part is worth considering.

If my memory serves me correctly, in the past we found it worthwhile from a traffic flow perspective to steer to the I-405 to by-pass the heavier traffic section around Seattle.

I'd be into doing that route, but I think if we want to make it to dinner on time, we're going to have to leave a bit earlier. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

John

Ya the I-405 route sounds better, but we have to burn the highway to ensure we make it to the BBQ on time.

I'd also like to leave earlier, but Keith is coming in from Calgary and we won't be able to leave until 8:00AM.

Shawn Gardner is also travelling with us.
