Ok. Long story long. Karri, Jon and I now have a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom cabin in Fontana Village for the Deal's Gap trip all to ourselves. My Mom and her Husband won't be coming, but it's for a very 5hitty reason. A little over a year ago his oldest Daughter was found murdered in her apartment in San Antonio Texas. They caught the F'in prick @sshole and he confessed to the whole thing. Hell they caught him in her pick-up truck! So, now over a year later, it's time to start the trial. Guess when it starts. August 1st. I just got off the phone with my Mom and both she and her Husband were very upset that they can't make it. I told her there are more important things in life, and, although this one sucks the big one, it's something they need to do.(Attend the Trial) SO, that being said, is there anyone still interested in going? Hell, I've got the room. Or Heather and Jason, or Greg and Dee(if you're still going) are ya interested in splitting the room? I know you guys (Jay & Heather) are only going to be there until that Thursday, but it seems like a waste to get 2 cabins. Unless of course this is still part of your "Honeymoon" or ya don't like us enough to sleep under the same roof!  If ya cancel a room now, it's a $20 fee, and the rest gets refunded. I'll give ya the $20 back for geez-o-pete! Let me know if anyone is interested. Jay, ya can call anytime, or call my work cell during the day. Greg, if you're interested, shoot me an email. If no one is interested, I may call and see if they have any smaller cabins left, or I may just stick with the large one. Let me know ASAP ok? Later. | ||

hey all - move went fine. now i just have about 70 boxes of stuff in my house (down from 100+!!). great to meet more of you guys at the meeting, and to see some folks that i've already met no track day for me saturday, an old friend from college that i havent seen in 3 years happens to be in chicago for work, and is coming up to milwaukee tomorrow. but, i think i can convince him to go to racine's open house (he's got a 2000 fat boy), and we'll go to summerfest too! so, even though i dont get to go vroooooooooom vrooooooom, i can still ride this weekend see you all either this weekend, or at the end of july (will be out of town for a few weeks for vacation) D | ||

yup. went by hal's this afternoon to return the ugly boots i bought out of desperation to ride and motorcycle boots in some moving box somewhere in my house (but replaced with the ones i bought that night at racine) and inquired about tires and service appts - turns out they had a set of the pirelli scorpions (stock tires on a cityX) in stock and they could do it right away.......so the XB is back in action and i'll ride it down saturday! i might be on the duc too, because my friend steve is in town and i'll let him take whichever one he feels more comfortable on. i think it will be the XB since its more upright (he has a fatboy) and i'll take the duc because its got a much more aggressive riding position. the rear tire on the XB had cords showing so it really wasnt safe to ride....but now its all better!!!  | ||

summerfest is definitely in full swing. never seen my neighborhood be so damn full of people and cars! i'll be at summerfest saturday night, after the racine open house saturday afternoon love to meet up with some folks if youre going to either event. D | ||

Dana~ Jason (we) had a GREAT time at the Dragstrip on Weds. night..Jason actually got in 22 runs!!!!! Weeeheeww!! Along side the whole night was the fabulous, Leah, dipping into the lowest possible 11.009 (I think it was a nine)! She totally rocks!! Poor Wes is getting awfully antsy and really wants to run, but is playing it safe for now..  Thanks Wes and Leah for a great time  Looking forward to doing it again next week--or see you at Blackhawk tomorrow?!?!? Hey Naughty~ Wanna play today??? The drag strip was a blast. Like Heather said, Wes and Leah were there. I had a lot of fun running along side of her (and when I say along side of her, I mean in the opposite lane, not like I was actually staying with her - she was blowing me out of the water by a full 2 seconds). My best run was a 12.93. I don't remember the speed on that run, but I topped 104 once or twice. Probably the most satisfying thing was some of reaction times, though. My best was a .024. There was a stretch of four runs were three of my RTs were .02X. After that, I started redlighting but after Wes and Leah left, I did a few more runs to see if I could sort that out. I think I figured out what I was doing wrong, and I concentrated on that for the next run and got a .038. After that run the track shut down as the rain started coming in so I don't know if I've actually got it a little figured out or if I just got lucky. Either way, next Thursday will tell the tale. So who's all coming out that night? | ||

Dora and all other Summerfest goers, Becki and I'll be in the 620WTMJ roadshow (back by the lagoon on the summerfest grounds. We'll be there from 1pm until 4pm or so. After that we'll just be bummin' on the Summerfest grounds. First we have to go hit the Racine open house for a few minutes. WE HAVE A WHOLE DAY WITHOUT A BABY!!!!! JT (I feel giddy)  | ||

Isn't it nice to be kidless for a whole day Luckily, the mother-in-law loves to have Thomas, so we get some decent riding in here and there. Next year, Thomas should be big enough to reach the offset peg mounts I've got, so he can come with me. | ||
