Any and all Buell owners within riding distance of Bettendorf, Iowa from both sides of the river please read this. I recently contacted Joe Fox, the GM from Wiebler's HD/Buell, about sponsoring a BRAG chapter through the dealership. They attempted to start one 5 years ago but it fell flat, they are however open to trying again. I have an offer to meet with Joe and discuss it with him and would love to be able to say that I already have a dozen or so people with an interest in helping to spearhead the club. So, if you are interested please post something here. | ||

Chuck, Sorry, I didn't repley earlier. I guess I never really thought about checking this section out. You can count me in. Are you going to the Demo days they are having on the 23rd? I will be there and hopefully so will the new look to my bike. Made several changes over the winter months. We definately need to go riding again this year. IT will be alot easier for me now, because of my new work schedual. M-F and weekends off!!!!!!! Been waiting for that for five years. Shoot me an e-mail when ya want to ride. SAR  | ||

SAR, not much reason to look here since we don't have any organization locally. Joe Fox (the GM at Wieblers) is out of the net for the rest of April so maybe you and I can both run him down when he gets back to town in May. Perhaps all those that have shown an interest could accompany me when we set up an appointment to discuss this with him, the show of interest might be a great persuader. Even if we can't get an actual chapter oing until this year maybe we can piggyback with some of the other groups that already have a good schedule (Appleton comes to mind).  I saw some of the photos you posted of your bike, it looks pretty cool from what I saw. Looking forward to doing some riding this year. Maybe one of the Dundee rides would be nice, and the Appleton open house would be good too. | ||

I've request a name change for this topic title. Since the riding season is already here and the B.R.A.G. project is on the back burner I'd like to maybe drum up some Buell riders close enough to start riding and hanging out with each other from time to time. Would be fun to show up at the local bike night with a pack of Buells for starters. | ||

Chuck, Demo day was ok, had about 20 riders. NOt to bad considering how windy it was. Joe is thinking about doing it again at there Harley demo days on the 14th of may. I told him he should do it for sure. It would be great to see how many QC riders we can get together. I saw some one riding a black lightning the other day on 4th Street in Moline when I was coming home from work. Its nice to see a few more Buells in the area. Let me know when ya wanna start riding. Hopefully my bike will be back together before the end of this month. | ||

That's good considering the weather. I wanted to demo a Street Rod, not in the market to buy one right now but wanted to check it out. I plan to do the Slimey Crud Run next Sunday. The last couple years I hooked up with the gang out of Waterloo and met in Dubuque but don't know if any of them plan to run up there this year. If you have the time I'd be glad to ride straight up there with you, or link up with some other riders on the way. If you've never been it's a nice way to spend a Sunday and there are usually some nice and interesting bikes that show up. It's not Harleycentric at all and everybody has a good ride. Maybe some of the guys you work with would be game? I haven't been riding much other than commuting for work but hopefully my work schedule will improve and I'll have more time to enjoy. Right now I'm working 10 hour days through the week on 1st shift and most weekends at least until noon but that should be tapering off since we're about to start a 3d shift in my department. | ||

Not certain if I'll be able to make it, might have to work after all but should know by Saturday. It's about 155 miles from here to Pine Bluff. Pretty sure that noon is about the time that most of the WI Buellers (Appleton, Madison, etc..) usually depart for Leland after having some lunch. To make it comfortably we would probably have to leave before 8am. At the moment I've scrubbed my plans to go up there but if work falls through and you're game for a pretty full day of riding I could easily reconsider. | ||

I've never been out here when they did the river shindig, would love to make it out. Alex, I always have an extra couch for people to sleep on.....except for the next three months. I sold my house and I am in the process of moving out. I will have everything by this weekend. The other unfortunate part of this is I have decided to build so I will be homeless for the next three months. I myself will be crashing on the couches of other people. But once the house is built by all means anytime just let me know. The Dubuque idea sounds great. A guy I work with is orginally from there so we could ride up together and make a day out of it. Chad, We usually ride up that way at least once a month. Usually ride Iowa side up to Balltown and eat the go to Prarie de Chain and down along river on Wi side stopping at New Diggins for supper/few drinks then home. Let me know about Lil Sturgis. I can usually muster up a pretty descent group from Sterling. Ended up with 20+ in my group to Road America last weekend. Keep in touch. Ryan | ||
