It's funny how you can ride that long and not really go anywhere. Rode around Lake Tyler...Arp...Overton...up to 42 and then straight down 31 back into town. Second ride was just around town...blaring around subdivisions and out to Lake Palestine. Rode a big circle around Henderson. 225 south of Henderson is a nice ride. Passed a shack with a guy out front standing next to an orange M2. Probably should have stopped, but I felt more like riding than talking. Needed to feed my biker soul y'know. Back in '91 we were newly transplanted from the Dallas area to East Texas. We were both bikeless, but Keith soon went and bought an '84 Superglide. Got me all enthused to resurect my old Yammer XZ550RJ (we called it "The Nightmare", and for damn good reason). The nightmare about put me off of two wheeling, but Keith's tales of far off adventures and scantilly clad women led me to give away the sorry scourge of a motorcycle and to start shopping around for a replacement. The rest is history. Cept now, Keith is fixin' to buy my '00 M2. Either that or a new Firebolt. I guess he's finally got tired of dragging chrome. So y'all welcome my good friend Keith and help convince him in the way of Buell. He's handy with a wrench, so a little tinkering won't scare him away. Let's Ride! We're meeting this Sunday at the Exxon in Helotes around 8:00. Prolly run up 16 to park road 37, then into Bandera, then 470 to 337 into leaky. take a break, then run back.
