We had a great ride last Saturday. Thanks again to South East Buell for the lunch, and goodies!! Our next scheduled ride is on Saturday, September 6th. We're meeting at South East Buell again, and will be carving some twisties up near Painesville. We're teaming up again with Roeder's in Sandusky and Farrow's in Columbus (hopefully) to get as many Buellers together as possible. Give me a call on my cell # above if you're planning to attend. Had a GREAT ride last Saturday. Had a total of 6 of us out riding (2 X1's, 2 XB9R's, 1 XB9S and 1 S1) out ripping up the best corners the Metro Parks could throw at us. NEXT RIDE When: Saturday, October 4th at 1:30 pm Where: Meet at South East Harley/Buell I'm pushing to get in one last group ride before our season disappears. We can reschedule this ride if the weather does not cooperate. I'm completely open to suggestions concerning the route, so go ahead and throw out your suggestions. It looks like my S1 is out for the season. I've got some demons in the front end somewhere. My 200 mile ride with the group this weekend ate up my brand new front wheel bearings already, and my front brake rotor looks bent. I've got to figure out what's going on. It couldn't have anything to do with the stoppies and 2nd gear wheelies, now could it??? LUCKY FOR ME, Brett from South East Harley/Buell came to my rescue and offered the use of a brand spanking new XB12S with the race kit! YEEEEEHAW! I just wanted to post a reminder that we are still having our regular BRAG meetings on the 3rd Friday of every month at South East Harley/Buell. The next meeting will be on 12/19/03, and I'm planning to start talking details concerning our trip to Deal's Gap in the spring. I want to see how many guys are planning on going, and talk with the dealership concerning the use of their trailer and other resources. As always, I'll be handing out 15% off coupons good for any merchandise at South East Harley/Buell to everyone who attends. I'd also like to see who is planning on going to the Motorcycle Show at the IX Center this January. I'll probably be working at the Buell booth again, but would like to meet up with the guys from the group to walk around a bit. Stop by the booth to say hi if you get a chance. - Jason P.S. 2004 Event Calendar As we get ready for the 2004 riding season, I put together a preliminary list of events that we can look forward to. This year will be highlighted by a trip down to Deal's Gap over Memorial Day weekend. We'll be meeting up with another BRAG chapter from Centennial Park in Columbus, OH, and ripping up some of the best twisties in the country. If you're interested in tagging along, feel free to e-mail or call me. April 24th 1st official Club Cleveland ride of 2004. We'll meet up at South East HD/Buell at 10:00 am that morning, and ride down to the Centennial Park Buell dealership near Columbus, OH for their Buell Open House. Beyond demo and group rides, we'll get the chance to meet up with George Craiglow and the members of their BRAG club to talk about the upcoming trip to Deal's Gap. We will plan on leaving around 5:00 pm to head back up towards the Cleveland area. May 14th & 15th Buell Demo Days at South East HD/Buell. The Buell factory Demo Fleet will be at South East HD/Buell on both days offering rides on all the new Buell models. The Club Cleveland BRAG group has been asked to help host the event, and will be there to help lead rides, answer questions, etc... I am also considering other events for that Saturday, 5/15 at South East. Anyone have any suggestions? May 29th-31st Heading down to Deal's Gap to meet up with the BRAG club from Centennial Park and do some riding. Planning to leave EARLY on Saturday morning to get down to The Dragon by 3pm or so and get some riding in. We plan to ride all day Sunday, and then pack it up and head for home on Monday, early-afternoon. We'll be staying at the Fontana Village Resort. This event will be advertised in the next Fuell magazine, so I'm hoping for a good turnout of Buells from around the area. We've got 5 guys going from Club Cleveland right now, and it sounds as if there are about 4 or 5 guys going from Centennial Park, so we should have a nice group. If anyone needs more details, feel free to contact me at the number below. June 19th & 20th Starboyz Stuntfest 2004 - Thompson Raceway, Thompson, OH. I'll be competing in the Longest Stoppie event on my '96 S1. I hope to get some Buell riders together to come out and cheer me on! July 23rd-25th Honda Super Cycle Weekend - Mid-Ohio Raceway - I don't have any plans set for this event yet, but I know I'm definitely going, and it seems to be a fairly popular event with the Club Cleveland group, so I figured we'd ride down together. I've heard that the campgrounds are the place to be at night, so that's probably where you'll find me. Maybe we can organize a couple of quick rides during breaks from the races? I'll be putting out some more info as the date gets closer. August 1st Youngstown Harley's Buell Superbike Challenge - 1/4 mile drag racing events for HD and Buell motorcycles at Quaker City Dragway in West Salem, OH. Details for this event are still being worked out, but I am definitely going to attend. Look for more details as the date gets closer. What other events are you guys interested in doing? Track Days? 1/4 mile Drags? Dyno Shoot-out? Poker Runs? Let me know. I'm really interested in what you guys want to get involved with once the weather start cooperating. One of my main objectives is to simply try and get as many Buell riders out together as possible. That is going to require getting people from different areas and dealerships together, so if you know of anyone from a different area (100-150 mile radius or so) that may want to get involved, feel free to pass along my contact information. I'll be working with South East HD/Buell to get in touch with other dealerships to organize some rides and/or events. I'll be sure to keep you all posted. As always, Club Cleveland will continue to have monthly meetings at 6:30 pm on the 3rd Friday of every month. I'll be trying to schedule rides AT LEAST once a month. There has been a lot of interest in riding towards Southern Ohio this year, so you can look forward to our group heading down that way before too long. UPDATE Unfortunately, the date for our Battletrax event at South East HD/Buell has been moved back to mid-August. I will post more details when they are available. We are still having the factory demo truck come in, and I am still working on a few fun events, so come on out if you get a chance. Take a demo ride and get a free $50 Buell Sling Bag! Roll on up with your buddies or BRAG chapter and make an afternoon of it! Sorry for the name mix up (Herb) Here's what I've found out so far. I talked to Sean @ SE HD (owners nephew) and he had no clue " sez no one from the group comes to the store anymore and they were surprised that Jason left". So Sean sez he'd run the group but had no idea what to do. Yes, we should have a meeting (3rd Friday is this week ? ). Has anyone else got the invite from Brag to a meeting @ SE HD in Oct ? Sean did say that the meeting is for the entire NE Ohio region and that they asked SE HD to host it , I'll be at the meeting. I did make it back from Deals Gap /Cherohala in one piece, cant say my rear tire faired all that well. | ||

I just went for a ride today. It was only a 20min ride. But it was worth it. I just finished putting my bike back together. And man is it loud and fast. I cant wait for some warmer weather. | ||

There is a Northeast Ohio Brag group being organized. Right now what we need from everyone is your contact information (emails, address, and phone numbers). Email to: dave@usaroadracing.com And get the word out to other Buell riders you know in our area. Also your feedback on ride events, activities, interests, and what you would like to see our group do this summer will help us put this together. Also, anyone that would be interested in riding in a Buell only spec class at Nelson Ledges Road course this season please let me know.
